After trying to get my hair exactly how I want it for the last couple of years at different salons, Iron and Ivy have finally done it! The knowledge that everyone who works here has about how to get your hair in good condition and to look exactly how you want it is amazing and your made to feel so welcome from the moment you walk in the door. Couldn't recommend these guys enough especially if you're looking to go on a blonde journey and have hairdressers who actually really care. Thanks so much!

I've had my hair cut by Vic Carling lots of times & she always does a brilliant job (despite the fact that I'm a hairdresser's most boring client!) She's always super friendly, chatty & puts the customers at ease with her skills & personality. I've recommended her to a few friends & they've all been super happy with her service, too. Iron & Ivy have always been really helpful whenever I've dealt with them & I've bought a few vouchers for them as treats for friends. Would definitely recommend their staff & services

Could not recommend Iron and ivy enough!! Right from the start I was welcomed in by the lovely Stevie! Zay and Liv we’re absolute angels which helped gain my full trust while doing my treatments, after I had just had a bad experience at another place! Lauren is an absolute MIRACLE worker!! She went way above and beyond my expectations I could not of asked for anything more!! She has genuinely saved and transformed my hair!! This place is amazing I could not fault them with anything! Thank you all so much for making my hair dreams come true! This is definitely my new local hair salon with out a doubt!!

Amazing work, amazing team! All very professional, they really know what they are doing. Responsible for my dream hair which was a massive transformation, they have now been looking after my hair for more than a year, making sure that it stays health and looking awesome. Karly is the magician behind my hair colour (she's the best) and Liv is a doll that have been looking after me every time I need that gloss and Olaplex (she`s lovely and so good at her job). I love the vibe of the place and how the whole team is friendly and welcoming.

Lauren did an amazing job! She is a master at colour matching and covered the grey that has been creeping in just beautifully. She was able to get a very natural look and all the grey is gone. I was a little nervous as I don't generally go to the hair dressers but she did an incredible job. Thanks Lauren I will see you for the touch up in a few months.

Vick did an amazing job cutting & styling hair. I have long curly hair, she did a nice subtle layers and I left with beautiful styled curls. So happy & would definitely recommend you go see Vick. Looking forward to my next hair cut!

There’s no other place like Iron & Ivy in Queenstown: everyone is exceptional, from reception (always making sure you’re looked after and comfortable) to the artists (you can’t call them anything else except LEGENDS), it’s my favorite treat in so many levels! I hadn’t done any colour in years and found Niamh on Instagram: I only really considered doing so as her pictures showed how even after colour, the hair was extremely healthy. Booked an appointment to talk about what I wanted to do and do the hair strand (which I’ve learnt with them it’s a must do) and booked in a couple weeks later. Niamh is such an amazing & talented professional I trust her with my eyes closed. After my first colour I came back a couple months down the line, my hair super healthy and decided to go lighter for winter :) all pictures are of my hair but found on Niamh’s Instagram. Absolutely recommend: you do not need to go anywhere else!

A fabulous salon... always on time for hair and nails. Pennie, does great nails... hard gel and acrylic (hard to find anyone who does acrylic in Queenstown)... highly recommend and a lovely bunch of people too!

Love my hair! Never ever thought I could get this blonde. The best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Everyone is so nice and the hot towels after getting hair washed is such a nice and relaxing touch. The salon is immaculate. Every detail has been thought about. Condition of my hair is great especially after such a big transformation.

I've had the pleasure of being a client of Iron & Ivy for almost a year now. I started going there when my talented hairdresser Niamh joined the team. All of the Iron & Ivy team are so friendly, always welcoming me by name or making a confidence boosting comment. I have 100% confidence in this salon as it's dedicated to upskilling on the latest techniques. Niamh always confidently recommends options with the knowledge to back it up. My long blonde hair is in the best condition of its life thanks to smoothing treatments, colours and extensions received. I've spent a large number of hours in this beautiful and relaxing salon and I love the fact it's totally ok if I want to have a deep in meaningful or just zone out, relax and enjoy the coffee and chocolate that is never forgotten! I also have to mention that I have been working with Niamh since May last year, preparing my hair for wedding that was suppose to be next week until lockdown happened. When the wedding cancelled we tried to put in place a plan B and Niamh went our of her way to help with hair and make up. Unfortunately, plan B was to fail too but Niamh was caring and compassionate and that was very much appreciated. I bet there is hundreds of ladies who can't wait for this lockdown to be lifted so we can be treated again in this incredible salon... I know I'm one of them! Call them today, you won't regret it! 100% reccommend!! I scheduled an appointment very short term and everything worked wonderfully. I usually have trust issues when it comes to hair cuts but as soon as I stepped into their salon (btw BEAUTIFUL!) I knew I could trust them with my whole heart. She made a few suggestions and I just told her to go for it.. very rare for me. It turned out absolutely beautiful. I was beyond satisfied, felt like a new person and worth a million bucks. I would honestly drive more than an hour just to have these lovely girls take care of my hair (can you please franchise to Germany, thank you)! :) The girls are super friendly, very relaxing atmosphere and for what you get extremely reasonable price. Conclusion: If you're looking for a hair salon in the Queenstown are, go to them!!!!

An outstanding salon with faultless service. Greeted every time with a huge smile and 'Hello' from Amy at reception, who knows your name - this is always lovely as it shows this is a business that cares about their clients from the onset. I always feel completely pampered and cared for, frequently being asked if I want a tea, coffee or water (still or sparkling) and each comes with a cute chocolate on the side. These little gestures really make a difference. The salon itself has a lovely feel with great music and design. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the whole salon experience. Lauren has gone out of her way on numerous occasions to meet my needs - whether it's welcoming my newborn to the appointment because I couldn't get childcare or starting work early to ensure I get to my shift on time - these ladies are fabulous. I have 110% confidence and trust in their every decision when it comes to my hair. They have a great wealth of knowledge and they share their understanding with you so you can give your hair the best home care between appointments. They work together seamlessly to get each stage of your hair transformation completed (Alicia's head massages are to die for). I always leave the salon delighted with the results and I feel I just couldn't go anywhere else now that I have had the 'Iron and Ivy Experience'.

The team especially Lauren were amazing. The salon is absolutely beautiful and the crazy plant lady in me loves the amount of green in the space. The service was faultless, from the wee chocs with coffee, to the hot towel after a hair wash, all the staff were fantastic. The way Lauren was able to not only fix but transform my hair was amazing. Alicia did an absolute beautiful job on my balyage, and went above and beyond my expectations of what results I wanted to see. I wasn't sure what colours I was after, but Alicia knew exactly what to do! I am so happy with my new hair, it has come alive. I get complimented everywhere I go. Where do I start?! The ladies at Iron & Ivy are amazing! I’ve been going to the salon since late last year, Karly has been working towards helping me reach my blonder goals, a more gradual process and I’ve been so happy with the results so far. Keeping up with my regular gloss and Olaplex treatments between colours has been so beneficial too. My hair seems in such better condition. The initial consultation before my first appointment was so great too, allowing me to meet Karly and discuss my goals, and it made the whole experience so much more personal. Iron and Ivy Hair Salon went above and beyond with there service from a a friendly caring team making you feel extra special and like the only client in the room. With exceptional service and little details it was by far the best hair experience I have had. I booked in for a blow dry/ style for a wedding we were attending in Queenstown and I was blown away by Iron & Ivy’s stunning salon and friendly experienced stylists. Kaitlyn styled my hair and absolutely nailed the brief of a voluminous wavey blow out. She also took the time to teach me a few tips and tricks on how to achieve this style at home which was awesome and over and above what I expected. I went to Lauren when I first arrived in Queenstown a couple of years ago not knowing how bad a condition my hair was after years of blasting it with colour every two months for ages. Lauren rescued my hair and now it is healthier and stronger than ever. I love Lauren's straight up advice and her personal and professional approach; she has a wealth of knowledge and her advice is always spot on - she genuinely cares about the health of your hair. I am delighted now she has her own salon, it is friendly, relaxed and beautifully laid out. I cannot recommend Lauren and her team strongly enough.

Karly has been my stylist now for this past two years and I honestly can't speak highly enough of her. She always understands exactly what I want and executes it to a T! She goes out of her way to make my experience at the studio enjoyable and comfortable, whilst effortlessly working her magic on my hair. She is extremely skilled and knowledgeable, I trust her 100%! The whole team at Iron and Ivy are so welcoming and the studio is beautiful, it is such a lovely vibe to be around. Can't wait to be back again soon ladies!!

I have been a client of both Lauren and Karly's for years and have complete trust in their ability to transform my very fine hair. I have followed them from different salons to iron and Ivy. I am often making appointments with short notice and know I can book with any of the team with confidence. I had used hair extensions in the past however was not satisfied that they were not damaging my natural hair and in both instances removed them after a couple of weeks. When Lauren advised she was going to bring Great Lengths hair extensions to her salon I was confident I could trust her and Karly's expertise. I have had the new extensions for about a month just for adding thickness to the natural length of my hair and they have been amazing. They are extremely fine joins and barely noticable to me wearing them/sleeping in them. I have had both tape in and Keratin bond extensions in the past and this is absolutely a superior experience. I would recommend trying them to anyone who has fine hair and wants to add volume or length.

Simply the best. The most trusted hairdresser I’ve ever had. I’ve been getting my hair done with Lauren for 3 years now. The way she understands what I want is 100% hit. I always had this fear of going to the hairdresser in a foreign country as I have always been disappointed from hairdressers from a country speaking my language. Letting them know that, Niamh took extra care to listen and double check with me what I wanted. She has taken the time to explain what she was doing while applying products on my haid. I came out with beautiful AND healthy lighter blond hair. I only got compliment about it. Would definitely comeback when needed and recommend them especially for blond hair.

I have extremely thick, curly and unruly hair, and Lauren has been a god-send to me! She recommended a smoothing treatment, and the results have been amazing every time. I've followed her wherever she's worked for 4 years, in the process also having had my hair done by her colleague Karly. Their work is meticulous, and their attention to detail and perfectionism is everything. I trust them both implicitly with my hair! The new treatment product they use, Aura, is even better than what they had previously offered, and I'm head over heels for it. I also love the new studio's design and decor, which is absolutely gorgeous.

I was on holidays in Queenstown in need of a haircut and found it easy to book in. The salon was professional, very clean and ultra stylish. The girls were lovely and Jodie did a fantastic job cutting my hair. I only wish the salon was situated back home so I could keep coming back!

I have never coloured my hair so was a bit nervous when i was choosing a place for my first colour (I wanted to go a bit blonder but nothing too crazy). I was recommended Iron and Ivy, and it was the best decision i ever made for my hair - Niamh took me through the entire process, discussed various options with me and has been looking after my hair ever since. We went through a number of Instagram pictures and chose the style and colour, i ended up with balayage which gave me "surfers" looks. I got so many compliments, it is unbelievable! I have asked for easy maintenance colour and cut, and this is what i got! I follow Niamh recommendations for treatments and products religiously and my hair looks great - it is soft, no split ends, not dry etc. Even though i was looking for colour specialist, i am now going to Niamh for my cuts - I have tried different salons and artists in the last 3 years and finally found the best. I loved the fact that Niamh does what she believes is best for you and does not follow every client desire - it shows integrity and high professionalism. She wouldn't recommend anything that might damage your hair or will not look good on you. The studio is located 15 min drive from central Queenstown, there is plenty of parking and few coffee shops if you arrive early. It is a beautiful place with huge windows and nice atmosphere and they also sell hair products , e.g. Evo hair which is hard to find in this part of the world.

Lauren has been looking after my hair for over 4 years and she has taken me from long to short from brunette to balayage and now blonde! She is a perfectionist with an eye for detail and has always allowed me to achieve the look I wanted whilst protecting my hair. I always got very nervous when going to a new stylist, but after my first visit with Lauren I knew i'd found 'the one', and she's been doing my hair for probably the last 5 years or so. She is an absolute genius with colour and I have had so many people think I am a natural blonde. Lauren your doing an amazing job with Iron + ivy! Back in Auckland I had a horrible experience with another hairdresser resulting in bald patches and burns. After moving down south I reached out to Iron + ivy in absolute desperation as a last gasp to find somewhere that could help me regain my confidence. And thank goodness I did. I met Lauren and Karly for a consultation and they spent time and listened to my concerns and we made a plan moving foward where I could end up beautiful hair again. I had a few visits of Malibu and Olaplex treatments before I got my full head of foils done, in order to make sure my hair was strong enough and had no unwanted build that could potencially cause a reaction. I am now transformed and I beyond LOVE it. I love that Iron +ivy not only listened to what I wanted but superseded my expectations. I look like myself again in the mirror. Visited Iron and Ivy recently and I cant recommend how amazing the salon is. All the staff are so helpful informative and attentive. Niamh who did my hair looked after me from start to finish gave me a indept consultation, talked about all my hair goals and dreams and told me what was achievable and what was not. We set out a plan and I cant get over the result after one sitting. I cant recommend these girls highly enough, and I cant wait to visit again for my next hair app.

I met Lauren and the team a few months back after reading incredible reviews online. My hair was in horrible condition due to previous experiences at other salons so I visited for a consultation with low expectation just to see what they’d suggest. The best part about the experience was that all the hairdressers including the owner confided in each other and bounced off ideas until they came to the best possible solution for me and my hair goals. They recommended that I complete a series of Olaplex treatments before deciding to bleach any further. In a matter of weeks I noticed that my hair felt so much thicker and it actually started to grow!! Niamh dedicated almost a whole day to pampering and lightening my hair and I’m now the blondest I’ve ever been in my life after almost 10 years of trying to go lighter. My hair is finally healthy and in amazing condition! I hardly even recognise myself anymore. All the girls at Iron and Ivy are incredibly bubbly and super down to earth. Seeing as I spent almost a whole day at Iron & Ivy I was able to witness how well they all work together as a team as well as see how many happy customers walk out of the salon. When I moved to Queenstown I worried I wouldn’t find someone who could get my blonde hair exactly how my previous hairdresser did in the UK. My first appointment with Niamh was amazing, she made my hair colour better than i’ve ever had it before and my roots blend in amazingly!! I’ve been in QT for over a year now and my hair is in the best condition it has ever been in thanks to seeing Niamh. It has grown so much (something I thought would never happen as I used to wear hair extensions for years) and it looks so healthy! After so many attempts of trying to get my hair blonde and not getting the result I wanted, I had given up the idea that my blonde goal was achievable/realistic.... I came to see Lauren for a free consultation, showed/told her my hair inspo, and with absolutely no doubts, and no hesitation, she just insisted that she ‘WILL make it happen’. Surely enough I got booked in, and on the first visit she absolutely NAILED my blonde goals (as in I literally almost cried with happiness when I saw the result haha). The passion Lauren has for her job is amazing, after 5.5 hours of working her magic, throughout the whole process no enthusiasm was lost ... and I think she was even more excited than I was for the final result!! (and believe me that is saying something). Lauren is so confident in her ability, and it clearly shows with her work! But, as well as being amazing at what she does, the environment in general and how the girls gel together in the salon and work with each other is great to see, as it helped deliver top service, which made my first visit to the salon feel like I’d being going for years. Sooooo happy with my result and experience at the salon, I won’t be going anywhere else! Can’t recommend this place enough! :D

What an absolute sensational time that was, I walked in looking like a 4.5, walked out looking like a solid 5.5. In all seriousness Iron & Ivy should be the only lisenced hairdresser in town. They say the only difference between a good and bad haircut is 2 weeks. But with Niamh styling your hair, you dont have to wait 2 weeks before being able to leave the house without a hat.
