A.First visit to this camp. We had a a lovely two night stay, and will definitely go back. Jed, the new owner/manager is a nice young man, very pleasant and helpful. The facilities were very good, and nice and clean too. Don't be put off by previous not so flattering reviews, it's a great spot, everyone I came in contact with was very friendly!

J.A really lovely place to camp. Cheap and clean facilities on a traditional NZ motor camp. Good kitchen with ample cooking areas, clean showers and toilets, loads of space for kids to play. Quaint by modern standards, but a good way to experience NZ outdoors as it used to be, with powered sites and abundant grass and shade for tenting.
Close to all local amenities. Good hiking on local trails to see historic gold mining areas. ISite in town had gold pans for hire aswell as good history of Reefton on displays.
One of the few unspoiled towns on North island and worth a visit for its little colonial and mining cottages, hotels and shops. Just the way we remember NZ.

S.Very clean site, friendly reception. A tad chilly in the shared kitchen however you could light the fire. Value for money. Really handy to city centre right across the road. Stayed in our hired Campervan easy parking- spot on

J.Great spot top of town-Christchurch. Next to the river.Even walking to Blacks Point, and the suspension bridge across the river. Nestled between conifer trees. Big oval. Kitchen is ample ovens, hot plates, microwaves. Tables, chairs. Woodburner for warmth. Theres also a tv on the wall. Outdoor seating as well. Toilets and showers great. Lovely hot water.
A lot of spots get full sun. Tenties can use the oval and find shade.
Cash or eftpos. No credit cards.
Hosts friendly.
Loved it.
Now wander into town and enjoy.

B.Lovely motor camp, very reasonable prices for a powered site. Good location, close to river and swing bridge walk. Also walking distance to skate park and all shops and pubs. Older style facilities, very clean and tidy. Free hot showers and nice communal kitchen area.
L.Stayed in a cabin here for one night. The cabin has electric jug and all the necessary plates bowls and cutlery. The shower and toilets were clean and the kitchen well taken care of.
The cabin provides bottom sheet and blanket and you supply your own sheets and towels. We used our sleeping bags. Very comfortable.
Except for the carnivorous sand flies!
Close to the lovely town of Reefton. Lots to do and see here.

C.My husband and I enjoyed a week at this lovely camping ground. The owners were friendly and the facilities clean and tidy, and although we stayed at a very busy time of year, we never had to queue for a shower and there was plenty of hot water (not always the case in other camping grounds we have stayed at during busy holiday periods). We'll be back
N.Lots to like about this place. Super helpful and friendly manager. Great toilets and bathrooms but the kitchen was pretty poorly equipped. I guess they've got tired of people stealing stuff and decided not to restock but, some dishwash and dish sponges would have been really nice. Especially cos l had to wash the oven dish BEFORE l could use it. Not their fault obviously but it meant l didn't have my stuff with me yet. Could put dishwash in wall mounted containers like l've seen elsewhere and sponges are pretty cheap to replace if necessary.
m.We were at the camp to attend a vehicle display, camp is well looked after, unfortunately the fog made for a cold day however the hospitality in Reefton over night & the two days we were there was fantastic 😀👍
R.Possibly one of the few remaining traditional Town Domain motor camps in New Zealand. This fits well with this well preserved historic gold mining town.

t.I liked it here, we had a nice spot on the grass with our camper as we didn't need power. It was nice and quiet, facilities were fine and the diff recyling bins are marked up nice and clearly for once! Sandflies though :D

W.I recently visited Reefton for a weekend camping trip and spent two nights at the Reefton Domain Motor Camp. Located on the edge of town next to the river it is very easy to find and offers a spacious camping environment with a combination of tent sites and powered sites sheltered by a stand of trees. The lady in the office was very friendly and welcoming making me feel right at home as soon as I set foot on the premises - she is a very nice lady who really gives the motor camp a homely feel.
Very close to the supermarkets and shops Reefton Domain Motor Camp offers a spacious layout with plenty of room for everyone. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend a few days in Reefton.
G.Stayed in few camping ground's over my years of camping, my comments are peaceful friendly and even tho it's older camp it adds to the character, well kept clean camp. That is why I gave it 5 stars.
