Fantastic fully fenced dog park. Clean man made stream running through so dog doesn't get too muddy. Agility obstacles if that's your thing. Best local dog park I've taken my girl to.

Great dog friendly park, love the dog wash facility and poop bags provided. The shallow stream is clean and fantastic for water loving dogs. Would love to see some sheltered tables or benches for owners to rest while their dogs run around. I know most owners walk around with their dogs, but there are people like us who are there with young children and babies. It would be great to have a place to sit in the shade while the dogs run around.

This isn't really a dog park. It's a huge park that has sports fields all around it with a children's play ground which is great, but you can't take your dog to that area. It would be nice if there were tables on the outskirts of said playground so thatpeople who do own dogs could take them and sit down while watching their children play.

The park was better before the extra fencing was put in, so now it’s best avoided when the gates are shut as the area isn’t really large enough. However when the separation fence is open the park isn’t too bad. There are 3 bins for dog poo and bags provided, the creek is usually pretty clean, except after rainfall, and a great depth for most dogs to walk through and cool off. There’s 3 areas set up with permanent agility equipment, there’s a small fenced off area you can take dogs if you don’t want to socialise them as well

Fantastic dog park. Fully fenced and lots of space for the dogs to run around and explore. Has wide open space, an obstacle course, a stream and some trees. There is a $300 fine if you don't cleanup your dogs toileting.

It's a excellent park. Quite new and is being actively maintained. Kids love it. There are shaded spots for parents to sit out of the direct sunlight. Some trees around the edges would be nice and provide more shade.

Its very a very good place to walk your dog or let your canine companion run around and socialise with other dogs. Constant development means its well maintained and the smaller sections for less sociable and small dogs means every breed and size has a place to run around. Small courses means your dog can explore and have fun while numerous benches in the shade means you can relax and chat with like minded dog owners. Saville Creek next-door also means you can drop of your kids at the water park while you spend time with your pooch, however, i wish they had a more environmental option for cleaning up after your dog instead of supplied plastic bags. 4/5 would visit again

The council should be commended for our dog parks in Canterbury, we are very spoiled as dog owners to have such resources at our disposal. A great, secure area to let dogs run free, with a DIY dog wash on site, and free baggies to clean up after the dogs.

Excellent park with a small stream and council provided doggie bags and bins. Reasonably sized off street car park with public toilets. Never too crowded. Lights on at night. As a general rule the dogs are well behaved, and the owners are welcoming and great to talk to

Great, spacious park with agility obstacles, picnic tables, plenty of shade trees and a nice creek running through it. The creek is going through some alterations at the moment (November 2019) but should be awesome once finished.

Lovely park with lots of different equipment for kids to play on. Equipment test different skils from the kids and are well maintained. Something for all ages can be found here. Open field available for ball games. Shaded picnic spots with rubbish bins. Pizza place can even deliver your pizza here :)

Great facility and well maintained. The water race runs through it so the dogs can cool off and there are seats for owners to sit down while the dogs play

Both my dog and I had a wonderful time, but unfortunately not everyone obeys the 'your doggy doo belongs to you ' rule. However it was a very successful visit, especially for my dog as she doesn't get many opportunities to socialise with other dogs. She had a ball!

Large easy access carpark. Flat grounds, great visibility. Poop bags and poop bins near the three gates. Rest rooms. Agility course. Shallow picturesque Water way. A wonderful play ground for dogs. Only detractors would be the dog training classes that monopolize the whole park several evenings a week. They are intolerant of other dogs playing off the leash during their classes as it distracts their dogs. Which means boisterous dogs need to be kept on the leash or at heel, which defeats the purpose of taking them to a dog park.

We visit Foster Dog park about 3 - 4 times a year. We live in Chch but enjoy the drive out for a different kind of dog park. Always meet friendly dogs and friendly humans.

I love this park cos it has a creek thru it which keeps them cool & a dog wash so they can go home smelling nice & clean I'm frm Ashburton & come here often they this is wot they need back home & dog washes they should put 1 @ BP garage

It's s great handy dog park. But be aware even though this is a public dog park, there are certain times where it is part of it is leased by dog trainers, who get extremely upset if you dog goes anywhere near their area.
