Nice place for the Tough Guys n Gals mud run. You can see why it's a Rotorua favourite. Still a working farm but lots of additional amenities. Looking forward to coming back next year for the Fun, Fit, and Fabulous!

Kiwi ranch rotorua 80z and 90z ..I went there every school hoildays... wasn't like a school camp but a hoilday camp... loved ittttttt...every little thing even the old ricky roller coaster... back then kids were kids we didn't care about getting hurt im sure we actually didn't even think about it..we just got on having fun... even the one arm kitchen hand man .. best times ever...oh and the tuck shop whoop... you always new when u had landed in rotorua the bus will stop at gas station first the smell would enter through the windows just as we all use to jump out of our sets to close them...and the stories of the haunted room on the lower level man that freaked kids out with the stories and tears of personal experience they said they had at nights... Manu was my favourite horse...still remember team leaders name Anna and Rebecca... honest to who it's was epic... Monique Lockett

Had a great time here for my daughter's school camp. There's hot pools,. Flying fox, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding,indoor swoop swing, archery, waterslide,. Mud run, grass.to play in & horse. All in all it was great. Meals were great and pleased majority of the kids. Place could do with a little bit of maintenance but nothing excessive otherwise it's great. Would definitely go again

I spent many school holidays in the 1970's at this place. At that time it was called Kiwi Ranch and run by Christians. Fond memories driving down from Auckland in an old red bus. It was a mix camp which was great. Met and made friends easily. Lots of activities sometimes dangerous. The leaders were great. Fond memories.

i loved senior horse camp in April in 2019 it was an amazing experience shuffles was an amazing horse just a little distracted on grass but other than that we did pole bending barrel racing (in a trot) cantering galloping swimming trails and much much more. ( i love horse camp at lakes ranch hope to come back in January horse camp ).

I stayed over for a weekend and I can't say that it was the best. The accommodation needs to be upgraded. The bathrooms that I used were bellow average for a large campground. The swimming-pools were really nice though! I think the campgrounds are really good but the sleeping quarters are really old and not so good.

Lakes Ranch Rotorua is a good place for school camps because our local high school goes their every year. Their staff are helpful and students get to experience: horse riding, rock climbing, kayaking, raft building, tramping and other activities. One of the favourite activities is "The Swoop" which is a high swing in the horse barn.... experience it for yourself it's great! 👍😉

The kids loved their school holidays except that they were made to eat some gross food combinations with the threat there would be no food the next day if they refused... Hm I question the fun in that...and the legality of it too...
