A beautiful Marae. Ohiemutu Village is a spiritual place rich in Maori Culture. Amazing to see people living amongst the steaming thermal activity. Locals were very welcoming & friendly towards visitors. It's free to wander around the village & take a few pics.....Well worth the visit if you're in Rotorua.

Rich Maori culture place, when I came nobody here. Should visit when you are in Rotorua

Beautiful area and lovely tribute to fallen Maori’s in the wars. No one on site today for a guided tour which would have been nice, but still nice to walk around and see a bit of the meeting place and the thermal vents throughout the village.

Ohinemutu is probably the best free walk you can do in Rotorua. In fact, it feels more authentic than the overpriced Maori villages.

Amazing marae and church. Donate a bit and get a great guided tour.

Wharenui and dining hall are magnificent. Catering for 200 at $30pp paid in advance and being served finger food was a disappointment for our visitors who had travelled from across the motu was a major disappointment and accounts for the two missing stars.

Beautiful Marae (Maori Carved Metting House) .Free entry on to grounds situated in a geothermal Maori village over 500 years old. A must see in Rotorua

Wonderful welcoming group. Learnt a lot of early history and how fortunate we are to have this marae preserved to share with us all.
