The best place for the outdoor enthusiasts. Surrounded by four National parks and not far to the Ureweras either. The biggest lake in the country at the doorstep with good trout in it if you like fishing. Some great mountain bike trails. 101 other things to do including soaking in free hot pools or commercial ones. Cafes everywhere. White water rafting, the list goes on and on.😁

You access this freely. So of course you have to get your pic taken with the lake behind you. Did you the lake is the size of Singapore. Yes Singapore will fit in the lake. Learnt from the man on the boat Ernest Kemp who takes you to the Maori carving.
