Great Cinema. Comfortable seats. Amazing audio. Prices are average. They often have the collector cups for the movie you're seeing which is always a bonus. Friendly staff and if there is a queue it's normally moving pretty quick. To dark in here to take a photo. 😅

My son and I went on an impromptu date here and enjoyed the experience a lot. Now he suggests going to see a movie when he never wanted to before. Ice cream was yum! and Frozen coke was great. Next time we will only need one box of popcorn!

There appares to be only one staff member on and we visited during the school holidays. He gave vague instructions on were out movie was, and there was no one there checking the tickets. Facilities weren't as clean as they use to be and there was no one monitoring were people sat in the theatre so social distancing rules weren't followed.

Well maintained cinema complex. Prices seem a bit high, but this could be due to lack of competition in the area. The actual cinemas are quite small too, so if you're planning on seeing a popular movie book in advance so you're not sitting right up against the screen. Staff are friendly and efficient

This one's on the better side of Cinemas. There are many screens to accommodate the vast amount of people. Comfortable seating which is also low enough so you can easily see over the seat/person in front of you. Ticket prices are standard with online booking available for an even faster booking experience. A good selection of snacks and drinks. Alcoholic beverages are also available. There's a small games room to the side with some arcade style games and Air Hockey.

Food prices very expensive, seating it old. It's probbest to keep the tickets at a low prices considering there are new cinemas around. If I was going to pay the same price, I'd rather drive to the lakes for better seating 💺 😌

Cinema is well-presented; staff are friendly, theatres are anyways clean etc. Only major issue is sound quality; sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's way too quiet for a proper theatre, sometimes it's all over the place. It's the only game in town though, so what are you gonna do.

Went to see a movie at the beginning of the week and being the first time there, I was nicely surprised at there atmosphere. Cinema was small, but adequate, sound system great, seating comfortable. Only draw back, we arrived just as the movie started so had to grope in the dark to find our seats, maybe the could have soft lighting strips along the wall to assist with this.

This is an alright cinema located in the heart of Tauranga. When we went at 9pm there was easy parking, I am not sure however if this is the case for all times though. We watched the latest star wars film here and the viewing experience was good. Not the cleanest cinema but it was fine. Big complaint is how many add there are before the film. Great customer service and the staff were very helpful

All a bit mixed up really. Tickets electronically on our phone didn't match the cinemas in the flesh but the staff were friendly, if not as confused as we were. Cinemas are needing a but of love bit still in good shape. Price is way too high. Wouldn't take my family....

Staff are friendly but they should hire more in the peak times, the last three times we have been they've had problems with the popcorn machine, frozen coke machine and haven't had food as stated on their menu. Good session times but the complex as a whole could do with an upgrade

Not bad but not great either....bit of a whinge just to the fact of paying $17.00 And then having to put up with 25 minutes of ads, not trailers....ads! High prices for drinks and food as always and that's still half the fun of sneaking 5kg of snacks past the half asleep people taking the tickets and herding the public into the right rooms for the viewing pleasure...all in all its a fun occasional outing.

Not the best, but not the worst, is the only way to describe this place. The screens aren't very, but each theatre seats only around 40 people, so the screen size is not much of an issue. The food is very overpriced, 7$ for a bag of maltesers. It may not be the best, but you'll keep going back... There any many other options around.

Not all staff are pleasant. My ticket and snack purchase was taken by a young lady who didn't seem to care and spoke down to me during the transaction. The cinema itself is extremely comfortable, always clean and inviting.

Vastly overpriced. I rarely go to the movies due to the cost and I sure as hell don't pay the exorbitant prices they charge for drinks and snacks. The only redeeming features are that it's cheaper on Tuesdays and if you join the Cinebuzz club they have cheaper movies of the week.

Great place to go and watch the latest movies on offer. Large theatres and they are very accommodating when looking for particulars like an end of row seat. Small game area near ticket booth. Good selection of food and drink. Only problem is lack of seating while you wait to be able to enter the movie.

While watching Aladdin at 5:50pm on friday the 21st we kept hearing the bass of the movie next door through out the movie and could literally feel the vibrations in the seat. It was very distracting would be better if they looked into sound proofing or even turning sound down a little. But saying that, this is a new issue that I have never experienced before in this cinema

Our family went to watch the Jumanji movie at Event Cinemas in the city. It was a lot of fun. Everyone got drinks and popcorn as well as a Jumanji cup for 2 of us. The seats were clean and so were the toilets. The movie was very good too. Good cinema in central Tauranga.

Almost $6 for a bottle of pump water which is ridiculous when you can often buy a 1.5ltr from the supermarket for $1-$2! Then theres the $5 choc top ice cream (small). I have always like this cinema. Back in the early 1980's it use to be only one cinema. It had red curtains at the entrance and included mid movie interludes. I'm pretty sure you were allowed to smoke inside also... Anyway the other night we experienced loud bass sounds from the cinema beside ours, which made it hard to hear. So the manager took care of our next screenings for us. Much appreciated! Thank you.

Nice clean venue to come watch the latest releasing movies! Can easily book online or pay for your tickets over the counter. Decent selection of snack foods although its pricey to get a decent amount. Over all i recommended. A+

Event Tauranga is pretty much the same as it has been for 20 years give or take one or two new cinemas. If you want to watch the latest release movies on the big screen this will do it for you! Two frustrations though are that if you're wanting to see a movie in 3D and it's not a guaranteed blockbuster you HAVE to see it in the first week, after that something else takes over in 3D, had this a number of times. And now and then when you book you don't realise you're in one of the smaller cinemas (it doesn't warn you). Twice I've booked tickets, at full price, only to get there and find out it's in the tiny theatre with a screen only a few times bigger than your average TV. Should be discounted in there. Otherwise though it's fine.
