S.Great walks to go on by yourself or with family. Some places for picnics as well. Great day out.
J.A beautiful domain to have a picnic, take the kids for a play at the park or even take your dog for a walk or play ball. Grab a coffee from the cafe or enjoy an ice cream under a shady tree. There are also bush tracks around the mountain and up to the top of the mountain. The tracks are rough going up but I enjoyed my walk to the first lookout which is about 30-40min walk with a very steep incline.
T.It's a lovely quaint place to visit. We saw a family walking their baby goat like a pet dog. So cute. It's really nice to walk around and to sit and ponder. The museums cute and the pools were enjoyable. The place was decked out with qr codes for contact tracing.
C.Beautiful domain with Edwardian buildings. The museum is worthwhile. The history of the soda spas is interesting. Well kept treasure for this small town.
C.Amazing location. Grounds were well kept. The playground was thoroughly enjoyed by mu little ones. The storybook walk up into the foot of the mountain was a nice treat. The public toilet was well kept.
E.A beautiful small town. Great spot to stop over for a break before moving on to Wairere Falls.
Te Aroha Gordon Rd is one of my favourite rally tracks. Very scenic on your way.
M.Lots to see here. There's a i-Site with lots of information. The heritage trail starts here too with a map about the route and where to go. Mountain bike tracks and other walks start here too. There's a supermarket accross the road.
The museum has a $5 entry fee with vaccine pass required at the time of writing this review. There's also mineral pools and a art gallery.
G.Lovely place to visit with alot of interesting facts and figures in the museum about Te Aroha 's historical past and founding. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the vicinity.
M.Lovely park, good playground area and lots of green space to run. A museum is inside the premises, along with the I-Site with useful tourist information. There is also a small art gallery with paintings from local artists. There are public toilets available for the public. Counted 3 tables for picnic and a bbq place that charges $1 to use.
Y.Beautiful and the spa baths is a must.. but if you've not done it before only book 30 minutes and don't forget to take water in with you.
A.Absolutely gorgeous domain with super cute architecture and very pretty ponds. It's just the gem on the crown of beautiful Te aroha. Looks beautiful on a sunny day nestled under the majestic mountain. Toilets, water, benches, gazebos, tracks, little lakes and the thermal spa. This domain has it all. Loved spending time here.
l.Great place, beautiful park and interesting historical buildings. Perfect calm outing. There are trails behind if you are interested in a short medium, or long walk.
C.Bring a picnic or visit one off the local bakeries and spend some time in this beautiful domain. Spa pools, swimzone and foot spa as well as a wonderful cafe are all within the domain along with the te Aroha museum.
D.Walked round domain. Did a couple of the walks. Track a bit wet and slippery with some fallen trees across it due to recent bad weather. Otherwise enjoyable.
W.Beautiful domain with a lovely view over the town and the plain. Wonderful thermal opportunities, housed in beautifully restored heritage buildings. A treat to visit if only to see the geyser (1minutes walk from the domain's roadway), and the historic mineral footbath (also 1 minutes walk.)
A.Te Aroha Domain beautiful park grounds, with interesting Museum, Art Gallery, Rotunda, Rose Gardens, Cafe, Spa Bath and Hot Pool Centre. Great views from Cafe over the Waikato. Neat park for picnic.
P.Motels near, close to township, thermal pools, hot pools and foot spa pools. The maunga is situated back if donsin, which has bike and walk tracks.
A.Awesome playground - well kept grounds & gardens - wee waterfalls.
Luv heritage buildings all painted in colonial colors - feel good place - friendly locals 💙
J.This is a great place. A real nice place under the mountain. Good little park for the kids. Great cafe with nice food and coffee. There is a few nice walks from here up the mountain and to a awesome waterfall. Well worth a look.
V.An early evening walk around, will spend more time here when next in Te Aroha. A lovely place.

o.This is a nice place to start a walk from with plenty of choices. The spa is very nice with private pools, and treatments. However you must book ahead.
The other option is the number 2 bath house here too, this also has a private pool and large outdoor pool more for family. But both are very relaxing and well worth a visit.

B.Didn't spend much time here as we were only passing through town. Looked lovely. Clean, tidy, well presented. Not a lot of parking though. Lots of grass areas for picnics & for the kids to play. Pools looked great too!

D.I went to the hot pools, met an exercise group that I've joined an what a great bunch of people. We were welcomed by the pool staff, the change rooms are neat, heated, an beautiful showers. The pool is heated an really nice to walk in, so I'm sure the walking will help my back an osteoarthritis in my knees. The spa pool is amazing an good for the joints an also there's a bbq that you can book and have lunch. Nice peaceful place to relax an enjoy the scenery oops an do exercises lol

F.Bigger than I was expecting. There are a few little walks that start here and the bigger walk to the summit. Also the little museum here is cool, was free entry when I went. There are foot pools too 👍 the geyser was capped off for some reason so couldn't see that unfortunately

T.Beautiful place with a small town feel. Not very far from Auckland. The people there were very friendly. Climbed mount Te Aroha which has both easy and advanced tracks. Very beautiful garden at the domain.
S.If you are in Te Aroha, this has got to be on your list!
The grounds are peaceful and appealing.
Great signage.
A number of points of interest throughout the space.
The public paddling/ wading/ foot pool was empty on the day of our visit.
There is a cafe on the grounds- plenty of outdoor seating and dog friendly.
F.A popular destination for many recreational activities with friends and family. We stopped here for starting out our bike ride on the Hauraki Rail Trail. Just below the domain there are parking lots for vehicles where you can also go on a mountain bike trail as well as walk up the mountain to the summit. A must see place!
D.Happy to host visitors from Fielding. Highlight for us all was the extremely worthwhile and enjoyable time spent at the Museum. Great interaction with helpful staff.
M.Great town under the big mountain (not big like south island but still a good hike to the top). We managed 1/3 up with grand kids. TeAroha is a nice rural town. Good wide streets. Local real people😅. Have a nice day out there. Try the picnic thing in the domain

The pools were are great place to relax
And parking was easy( may not be if its busy)
Easy stroll into the main street where you will find a variety of shops and would recommend stopping at the butcher.

h.Beautiful walk around the Domain. Fairly easy walking. There are public toilets behind the i-site building and at the end of the Spa building up behind the Museum. Beautiful old buildings and a play ground as well. For the fitter there are various tracks up the mountain to enjoy.
L.Heaps of room for kids to run around. Nice playground
S.Beautifully set out with buildings of interest - museum, spa, leisure pools, cafe, gallery and information centre. Lots of lovely shady areas for picnics.

J.Friendly staff, reasonable pricing and extremely enjoyable facilities.
Each private spa room is fully equipped - multiple bag hooks, personal shower and toilet. Water temperature is simple to control and they give you plenty of time to get dressed once your time is up.
One thing you should be careful is that the pipe linking to the hot water can burn you if you're not careful - watch out next to the tap!
J.Beautiful place to sit with something to eat and drink, looking out over the domain with its trees and lawns. Coffee was great. Just go.
A.The Art Gallery had beautiful selection of murchandise for different tastes. There is one particular painter who gets the colour of NZ native forests perfectly.
The museum is a small selection of a glorified township, and wider locality. The history boards of peoplle who have influenced the area is beautiful
M.Went for a romance package at the hot pools - lovely staff, the room was beautifully presented, even better than we had hoped. Many brownie points earned! Would certainly do it again. Thanks!
T.Such a beautiful, quaint little town. Everyone is so friendly and it feels like the sun always shines in Te Aroha. Grounds are so well cared for too!
o.This place has the most fabulous private coopered hot tub spas. Unique soft water that doesn't have any sulphur smell. Outdoor pools available at various temperatures also great. Cute town too!
A.Located next to Te Aroha Springs, this is a nice addition to the greenery that this town has to offer.
You can find the Museum and Polo Field inside the park.
It's a nice walk around, would recommend.
T.Great place to spend a day. Sweet museum, nice indoor spa baths. Nice gardens. Best of all lots of different walks for all ages and fitness levels. We did the Tui track to a waterfall. Nice thermal foot bath in the gardens to soak your tired feet from all the walking. Great cafe Domain cottage cafe and even a play ground for the young ones!

P.What a fabulous haven in Te Aroha. Beautifully kept, wonderfully historic, delightfully peaceful. Don't leave Te Aroha without checking it out - or even better, grab some food and coffee and make it a picnic.
A.Lovely big park, the double slide is big enough for adults. Places to eat on chairs and tables. Playground for school aged children. Pond and bridge makes a peaceful area.
F.Very lovely spot. Nice cafe, the heated thermal pools are awesome for the family and very reasonably priced. Beautiful surroundings. Easy access to the walking and Mountain Biking tracks.
C.Love going here and just visiting, sitting or watching the kids play. Also has the domain house where one can get some food and drinks, while here you can also go to the spas or pools. Get place for everyone
L.A little gem of a park that feels like the 60s. Lovely old wooden character buildings with a cafe, mineral spas, mature deciduous trees, public pools, nice walks and the start to the hike up Mt Te Aroha. 30 mins soak in the hot mineral tubs was enough for me but you can book for up to an hour. A beautiful domain full of things to do.
P.Had a fun mountain bike ride there today but much of the signage has been pulled out of the ground making missing making it difficult to navigate your intended track. Good fun anyway.
A.Middling public baths. Could do with a few more shaded seating areas where you can supervise the children swimming adequately, although a lifeguard was on duty

G.Green, expansive, well planted with gardens, flower beds amongst large oaks and impressive Victorian and Edwardian era, historic buildings, including the hot spa and swimming facilities. Unforgettable experience!
M.very idyllic green space.
K.Had a great hike up to the summit 953m elevation. Require 2 and a half hours up and 1 and a half hours down. View is sublime. Best to sumit it on a clear day so check forecast beforehand as the conditions can be unpredictable.
J.Cool little area to have a wander around in, plenty of historical buildings and walkways to guide you around. Also has a foot pool if you're game enough, make sure not to slip over.

M.Tui Domain Track. Te Aroha Domain. 1 hour round trip can take you nice small water fall. Beautiful valley view. Good track. Mostly average with some climbs but all manageable with family and kids too. Good Tracks.
D.The Te Aroha Domain is absolutely amazing, from the spas to the museum and the green open spaces. The doorway to Mt Te Aroha the mountain of love. Walking tracks and mountain bike trails, the is something for everyone. You can even stop by the Cottage Cafe for a great coffee or the best eggs bene'. I love the Domain

T.Clean, well looked after. Close to mountain walks and the famous mineral spa. Just a beautiful place to visit.
L.Holy Ground. Tapu. The Love = The Love God Had For Man In Creating All Father Adam From The Dust Of The Ground Of Eden Earth Here, At This Spot. Maori Felt It Was Special. It's An Eden Gate. I Go On Pilgrimage Here From Time To Time. When I NEED it. Hot Pools Are Shallow On The Side Of The Holy Mount.
