We visited Tantalus Estate during our trip to Waiheke Island and I have to say we were amazed by how beautiful the place was, INSIDE OUT. And when I say that I mean everything was perfect: from their customers service quality, to the food, and how nicely the restaurant is built. They clearly put the satisfaction of the customers to their top priority and they make sure you will have a wonderful experience at their place. Professional, friendly and thoughtful staffs. Excellent food display skill and mouthwatering taste. Breathtaking view on the vineyard and around the outdoor dining area. Tantalus Estate is one of the must-visit restaurants on Waiheke Island in my opinion because after you leave the place, you’ll remember how welcoming they were, how extremely delicious the food was, and how well-loved they made you feel. That’s what makes this place stand out and stay in your heart for a long period of time.
P/s: Thank you for treating my dog so well, he told me he loves you all x

Stopped for a wine tasting which we highly recommend. We were on ebikes and they have bike stands right by the main path. The knowledge of the wine, the island and energy from our server was great. Delicious wine, would like to come back to try their food.

We had lunch last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Vineyard and garden were great as was the food. We had the two course lunch plus bread and extra vegetables. We had beef and lamb as our mains, both were great, maybe the lamb was best. Dessert was the strawberries which was very tasty.
Our waitress was extremely helpful and very pleasant.
I had the Tantalus Pinot Gris which was a little drier than I'm used to, but very nice.
You would need to be very fussy not to enjoy Tantalus.
K.
Exceeded expectations. We had the Chefs Choice 6 course dinner for a table of 6. It was perfect. Such a great selection of food, each dish that came out was tasty, well thought out and gorgeous presentation. The atmosphere was stunning and the service was exceptional. We will be back for sure. Great night.
N.
Beautiful vineyard and a restaurant showcasing its own distillery on site. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection. Servers and hosts were also very friendly. Perfect place to unwind and treat yourself!
B.
Tantalus trust the chef menu is like a portfolio of loud artwork in your mouth.
Each dish is loud & executed with perfection.
I found very interesting components in each dish. We thought the coffee creamer was an interesting topper to have. We will be interested to see how they polish their unique style in a few more years.
The dessert was the winner in my eye! That dish is close to perfection.
The wine pairing is not the most harmonious pairing, this is due to the limited selection to estate range only.
Service was excellent considering the low staff on the island due to COVID. Some minimal delay but Raushil saved the day! He is extremely knowledgeable of the food and the wine. He is courteous, professional, on point with all his service and timing.

Wow wow wow, a must-visit winery/brewery when going to Waiheke!
Myself and my partner are vegan and it was amazing to know that majority of their drinks were suitable for us - and better yet, we had a vegan server, I think his name was Mariano (sorry if I've spelt that wrong!) And he was absolutely incredible. He really enjoyed telling us about the drinks and honestly made our experience so wonderful. It's a shame it can't be said for the rest of the staff, the two kiwi's we encountered with were both so miserable and unpleasing - shame because it's a beautiful place and location.
If you go, ask for server Mariano! He's a gem.

Didn't visit the restaurant but the front lawn a lovely setting to relax for an hour or two. Staff were very friendly and wine, beer and food very good - biggest serving of fries have ever seen anywhere..nice cheese board. A must visit along with the brewery part Alibi.
b.
Stunning!
Great food, great wine - I particularly liked the rosé.
Great service from our waiter also. Stunning outlook if you’re seated outside on a nice sunny day.
Overall loved it.
A.
Pretty stunning view and venue with spectacular service. Looking forward to going again
D.
Very popular and for good reason. The layout of the bar, wine tasting, restaurant and gardens works well to spread everyone out so it doesn't seem crowded despite being busy. Staff are fantastic: quick and friendly service. As well as wine tasting, you can by flights to taste the beers they brew. The garden was awesome, extremely well landscaped and looked after. The bean bag chairs and garden games made for a very relaxed feel.
T.
A beautiful building, and beautiful gardens, unfortuntly was not as pleased with the staff and quality of food. If come back next time I will try something else. Not the cheese board.
Was only their for 20 min, then went on.
J.
Brand new and absolutely gorgeous, Tantalus Estate is situated in the heart of Waiheke island. The dining room is lavishly decorated and the food is meticulously crafted with local ingredients. Tantalus is an excellent location for either a relaxing lunch, romantic dinner, fun bridle-shower, or just a chill afternoon hanging out with friends. Sit on their comfy bean bag chair and enjoy a class of sauv blanc and you’ll be in heaven.
D.
The most beautiful vineyard and the most welcoming staff. My boyfriend and I hopped on the ferry and then the hop on/hop off bus and this was our first stop. Since we’d come quite early, it was pretty empty and we had the tasting, and the grounds to ourselves. An incredibly clear day, with enough shade even though it was hot, so we chose to sit outside on their bean bags. Can’t recommend it enough! It’s quite and serene.
We loved it so much, we visited 2 other vineyards and came back for a final glass of wine and lunch.
You’ll love it!
F.
My husband and I did a wine and beer tasting and it did not disappoint! The wines and beer were excellent and staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The truffle fries are also amazing and to die for! It was a perfect addition to the wine and beer tasting.
A.
Loved this spot! Super friendly staff and very attentive. We did 2 different tastings and it was yummy wine and a wonderful atmosphere. Picked up a bottle of wine at this one! 🍷👍🏼
L.
Tantelus is hands down the best vineyard on Waiheke Island. The food and service is outstanding and the staffs passion and knowledge are second to none. We are always made to feel so welcome. It’s the most beautiful location and setting.
M.
We had a very experience tasting a variety of the reserve wines. Very much enjoyed the 2014 Merlot. The groups and facilities are spectacular.
B.
We had the most beautiful lunch on Friday, Alessandro our waiter was so friendly and attentive. The great food (pork belly especially) paired with the great weather made for the best overall experience.
P.
WOW! What an amazing place, amazing host and amazing wine!
Tantalus just has it right in every department.
We were fortunate enough to meet one of the owners, but unfortunately I forget her name, who took us straight under her wing and began to tell us about the history of the place, her families business and her plans for the future.
Whilst she talked and explained about the differing wines, we got to sample some beautiful wines which transformed my non-red drinking wife into an obsessive red wine hunter now!
You wont regret taking the ferry and sampling this lovely islands vineyards, of which Tantalus seems to excel!
F.
Thank you for making our 20th birthday a truly special occasion Amazing venue - loved the private dining; divine food and excellent service. We could not have asked for me!
N.
My last visit before rounding up my Southern Hamisphere vacation trip. This place depicts the laid back NZ lifestyle well. The food is awesome too.
E.
The food is absolutely amazing and definitely exceeds my expectation, way better than the top restaurants in Aukland. Very creative design of each dish with flavors perfectly orchestrating together. My favorite is the sweet yeast South African bread, which is freshly baked from the oven and matches very well with lover mousse!
E.
This place was great. Located in a beautiful vineyard, with wonderful staff. The beer flight taster was incredible - with a Pale Ale that had a note of blackberries and a Rye IPA that was crisp and refreshing. Don't even get me started on how mouth watering the truffle fries were, or how incredible their homemade butter with fermented potato sourdough bread is! Definitely worth a visit.
R.
This is a must stop when you are on the island - highly recommend making a reservation tho! The wine and food are fantastic and not only met but exceeded our expectations. My partner and I spent a week on Waiheke, visited multiple wineries, but keep ending up back at Tantalus Estate. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful too. We loved the wetlands and exploring the property. Such a special place, and we cannot wait to go back.
T.
Great craft beer selection in the brewery lounge. Perfect scenery all around and good food. Try the Oyster brine sour ale if your adventurous or safe it with the chocolaty stout.
H.
Great atmosphere with the restaurant overlooking vines. Great food and wine. Even a craft brewery downstairs with nibbles and a selection of cocktails for those who don't like beer. One of my top 3 on Waiheke. Definitely worth a visit. Handy location along the bus route to Onetangi (bus number 4). There is a walk amongst the vines at the back which leads you to Obsidian and Casita Miro (about 20min walk). Pre-bookings at the restaurant are essential as this place is popular...
C.
The nicest restaurant on Whaiheke. Stunning food, great wine and a lovely spot to sit and relax. Pricy as expected but worth it. Bookings are a must as this place gets going. Must try!
V.
Super nice waitress. We had an amazing wine tasting experience. Highly recommend if you had a chance traveling around Waiheke.
L.
The gardens are almost as beautiful as the flavors of the wines. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. This is my favorite vineyard on the island for brunch, lunch or dinner. You can't beat the views overlooking the impeccable gardens and vines. For beer lovers they also has their own beers you can enjoy.
#.
Had a really good meal although portions look small, they are enough for a person and pack a whole bunch of flavour.
Many people come here for wine tasting but also avaliable are beer tasting downstairs.
I had the only vegetarian option which was quite good but wish they had more for vegetarians/vegans
G.
Great restaurant and tasting room. Helicopters even occasionally land to drop off patrons which is crazy to see. Wonderful staff and amazing plates, especially the pork belly.
M.
We biked here from the ferry, which took about an hour. The route to the vineyard was beautiful, but challenging (lots of hills). We arrived around 1:30pm on a Tuesday and the staff was friendly and attentive (even though we were dripping in sweat). Food/drinks were decently priced and enjoyable.
If you don’t want to bike to the vineyard they also welcome helicopters to land onsite.
T.
Delicious food, top-notch service and prices to match. Their rosé is "on the cusp of something special" but not quite worth the $60 price tag (it is, mind you, the cheapest wine on their menu), even on a hot summer's day. Impressive views and beautifully decorated restaurant interior. A little windy in the outdoor/semi-sheltered seating and many of the "Real Housewives of Auckland" types chose to move inside. One to watch on Waiheke.
L.
Great wine tasting experience by Ryan who was very knowledgable and friendly. Nice vibe at the bar learners where we could relax and soak in the atmosphere.
D.
Beautiful venue set amongst the vin yards, food quality 3.5 out of 5. Happy pleasant staff, who are backpackers like many other venues, we were told we had to leave in two hrs but stayed for five
M.
We have gone to Waiheke so many times but never made our way to Tantalus. Well, we finally did and can't believe we had missed it for so long. The setting is lovely and the gardens are made for the 'gram.' It was super busy the day we went. So be prepared to wait a bit for a tasting or to get a table. We only split a dessert and tasting and then had couple glasses while we basked in the beautiful weather. We liked the wines so much that we walked away with three bottles hahaha.
Something that we really liked about Tantalus is that it is super close (walking distance) to multiple wineries. You could literally make a day of just this little piece of Waiheke. The wineries we went to after Tantalus were Stonyridge, Te Motu and Wild on Waiheke. Of those three, Te Motu was our second favorite, behind Tantalus, but that's for anther review.
F.
Very good service, nice place et amazing wine. I tasted the reserve flight and it was tasty. The Écluse 2014 is my preferred wine here. I would definitely try it with a rib steak! Cheers mate!!
E.
Amazing wine tasting, awesome staff, truffle fries to die for, and the best venue on the island! Our top pick for date night 🥰
P.
Great atmosphere and really good food and wine. The chocolate dessert I had was stunning, and the whole experience was made better by the superb service our group received from Mariano (as full of character as the best of their wines and with an excellent knowledge of everything on offer). Would definitely visit again!
A.
Hands down the best truffle fries I’ve had this season - a warm and distinctive character in the brewery. Th setting was superb and the perfect backdrop for a romantic drink or two, or catch up and laughs with mates.
M.
We turned up yesterday and they were booked up, but they made space for us at the bar to do a tasting, and the lady behind the bar... I'm feeling terrible for not getting her name but I think the manager or owner perhaps.. she was amazing. She was knowledgeable, incredible service and went our of her way to find me (not a huge wine lover) something I loved. And what I dis try was delicious. She made the experience so much better. I am in customer service myself and I know the effort and time she gave us. Awesome. Will be back.
A.
Beautiful vineyards and absolutely stylish restaurant. Love the food here especially the truffle fries and the dessert!! 😋
L.
Had a amazing time. We had 5 wine tasting for 50$ per person. You can choose whatever you feel (red, white, brut, rose ) if they have open bottles. The man who was serving us was so passionate about their wine(with many wine knowledge), so easy to speak with and very friendly. I should have had a dinner there because it looked fantastic. Definitely worth of the money and will go back again.
B.
Amazing afternoon! Wine was beautiful, the cheese was delicious, the building and surrounds was just ust stunning and the service was second to none. Can not wait to come back ❤️
M.
Really good Rose wine, the Broccolini with humus and the Truffle Pommes - so delicious!!!
G.
Chef tasting menu is wonderful, every dish is well crafted.
B.
Wine and food are both tasty! The view is beautiful!
R.
Amazing views , food was absolutely delicious, the waitress was lovely , would 1000% come back
R.
This is a very nice place to enjoy both wine and craft beer. The Estate has a “cellar” offering food, wine, craft beer and a really cool ambiance. Almost like a cave on the ground floor but inside has several seating areas with tables, cozy wingback leather chairs around the fireplace and a bar. The food was excellent! Upstairs is a very nice tasting bar. I thought the tasting fee was on the verge of being over priced.but in the end it was worth it. Again the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The upstairs is also nicely appointed with the standard tasting bar but also several nice tables and another leather couch and chairs in a separate seating area. Classy!
B.
Good degustation experience and beer options for those who are not that keen on wine. The staff were really friendly and all the wine/food were great. The winery and scenery was also really nice.
R.
Great Spot and excellent service however very expensive and no value whatsoever.
We paid $70 per person for two course, very small portions with no bread and sides. Additional bread and sides would costs you $28 and wines are very expensive considering these guys are growers so think of 450% mark up.
A.
Lovely. Excellent wines (lovely bubbly), delicious food (the truffle fries are famous for a very good reason), good service. Enjoyed our tasting.
Wonderful location with excellent views and very nicely decorated. All in all a great day out and very good value. We’ll be back again and again.
P.
We loved Tantalus and understand now why it's the no. 1 thing to do on Waiheke. The restaurant was closed for 6 weeks over winter but the bar where the tastings took place was busy. The menu did look great although quite pricey. The staff were friendly and funny and the wine was great and the tastings well priced. Would love to go back in Summer. We stopped here for a tasting and stayed for the best meal of our visit to New Zealand. The wine was fantastic (as was the young man who poured the wine) and the beer was also great. So, we stayed for lunch and it exceeded the tasting. Great place.
O.
I don't normally leave reviews but I really want to express my gratitude to Grace for offering a delightfully personal experience to the wine tasting. She was so informative about the wine, the Waiheke region, and beyond. As well as that, the reserve wines were fantastic. Each were distinctive but their commonality for me was a sense of warmth and celebration. The architecture and staff certainly match!
L.
We came from visiting from the UK and WOW WOW WOW, what a beautiful place to stop and have lunch. The food was simply amazing and the wine was amazing. This is so pretty for spending time having a relaxing time enjoying the setting. I would love to be able to buy the wine here in the UK. Don’t hesitate go to this restaurant and winery go and enjoy you won’t be disappointed. 💓
F.
Great wine. So many chips. Slider was tasty as.
T.
Nestled amongst rolling hills and the Tantalus vineyard this is a MUST visit restaurant on Waiheke. It truly earns its high review ratings with the excellent food being complemented by wonderful service.
On a previous visit to Waiheke we had eaten lunch at Tantalus which was a fabulous, fun and bustling experience, however it was the faultless food that had us booking for the degustation dinner on Valentines night.
The restaurant was quiet (I believe opening for Friday and Saturday dinner is relatively new), it was a beautiful sunny evening and expectations were high.... We were not disappointed!... Each course was sublime with flavours being delicately blended so that it was a truly superb dining experience.
Of course, along with a delicious meal you can experience some fabulous New Zealand wines. It is worth ordering wine just to hear the Sommelier in action. His description of the wine we ordered was magical, passionate and absolutely entertaining. Loved it!
The friendly and efficient service topped off an outstanding experience.
Tantalus should not be missed if you are visiting Waiheke. Whether for dinner (degustation only) or lunch you will not be disappointed. This is a restaurant that has remained consistently excellent.
L.
The favourite of the 5 wineries on Waiheke our group visited. The staff are relaxed friendly knowledgeable and helpful. The setting is lovely both inside and out. The wines are nice and a good selection of non alcoholic drinks are available if you find you've reached your wine limit after a long day tasting. The food was tasty with a reasonable selection. This would be my pick over any of the other wineries nearby.
p.
Loved the food , went there for lunch. Great service and perfect food.
A.
Awesome! A must visit for anyone who loves really good food and wine. A lovely setting surrounded by the vines, stunning building, delicious food presented beautifully. The staff were also exceptional and very clued up on the food and wines. The added bonos of the cool micro brewery Alabi and a beer garden makes this place stand out from the rest. The high price of their very good wines would be my only complaint.
J.
The estate was closed for tasting so we had a drink instead. The staff were friendly but the atmosphere is a little more commercial than some of the other wineries nearby. We were all ID'd (no issue here but even my 50 year old mother was asked?) and a tab is enforced. Again, not an issue, but it somehow takes away from the feel of things.
The wine was brilliant and the glasses are so beautiful! We ordered two to bring back with us. Would definitely return for the full tasting next time we're over.
A.
Everything was beautiful, the food is amazing, the ambience, and the whole vineyard just so much for you to explore. Kat was super lovely and friendly, and her recommendations were spot on! Will always come back for our waiheke trips.
J.
Wow!! We spent a few hours here a couple of weekends ago to do some wine tasting. I’m coeliac (highly allergic to gluten) and everyone ensured I had something to eat.
Also, we had the most incredible waitress/server Bianca. She was an absolute dream!! Both hilarious and professional. Thanks team for such a memorable experience!! We will be back. -Jessie
C.
The beer tasting was great, my partner enjoyed the wine tasting also. Easy to get to from the nearby wineries.
Afterwards tried to get a drink in the bar but was told there was no space despite standing in plenty of space. All of the tables were booked, we were happy to stand but told no, we had to wait on a table. Luckily it was easy enough to move on.
a.
We visited Waiheke during the first week of our 3-week trip of New Zealand, and both my husband & I said that visiting Tantalus was a highlight of our entire time. The wine was tremendous (particularly their p.gris, bubbles & rosé), the service was perfection (attentive, warm, & knowledgeable without being intrusive), and the food & grounds were both incredibly perfect. Don't miss the boardwalk that passes through a reclaimed marshland of native flora. Go back the next day to try the Alibi Room downstairs - we loved all their beers, and the food was absolutely incredible (especially the truffle fries & spinach croquettes). The attention to even the minutest detail in both places shows how well this place is run & cared for. Definitely make the trip!
A.
Basically art but edible. Cheers on point. Service beyond the moon. Enjoy ✨✨
N.
One of the newest wineries on Waiheke and our second stop on our hop on hop off explorer trip. We’d started downstairs with the beers (a must try) so it was a quick walk upstairs to the restaurant and cellar door. The wine tasting can be done at a table or around the bar which is what we did. There are two tastings available, one mostly reds which are grown on Waiheke and one mostly whites where the grapes are grown elsewhere in NZ. Really good wine selection and a good unhurried tasting experience despite them being really busy. This would be a great spot for some lunch
J.
New and beautiful. A stormy day for our visit but it didn't matter...caring staff and very good food and wine
P.
It was a very busy day for tasting at Tantalus when we visited....it has a bit of a 'commercial' vibe but the wines are pretty decent. They also have beer tasting available which was interesting. Our wine server was very sweet and super knowledgeable.
P.
Great venue, loved the view while we dined. Meals score an excellent in presentation especially the deserts. Accommodated our special menu requirements very well. Prices were good for total dining experience. Found the 'First Light Wagyu Rump Cap' chewy unfortunately but that may have been the cut of meat. Would not order this again. Everything else we had was good. Service was good, perhaps a little rushed, had some spills.
P.
Stunning food and service. Worth every penny and moment. The food was a sensory pleasure matched well with the en point service of our waiter. Thank you.
J.
We’ve been living in Auckland for 3 years now, whenever anyone asks what our favourite restaurant is, and they ask a lot because we’ve been known to get around, we answer “Tantalus”. The presentation is amazing, the first thing we said when we walked in was that we wanted to get married here. And we weren’t alone, they have a long waiting list for weddings. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful, going the extra mile to ensure you have a good experience and all your needs are met. The food is divine, and they have great options for vegetarians. We’ve been 3 times in the last 2 months and will continue to go back, still our top spot in Auckland!
A.
One of the most beautiful vineyard estates with a fantastic restaurant. Highly highly recommend and will definitely come back.
M.
We had our wedding at Tantalus in March 2019 and every aspect was outstanding. The views, food, wine and service are the best of Waiheke - our overseas guests in particular were very impressed. Special thanks to Mikalina for all her help in planning such a special day. We take away the best memories and can’t wait to come back. Thanks again Tantalus team!
M.
We went there for a birthday lunch and food was spectacular. Wine pairing was great and we love the walk around the estate too. There’s enough to play with for toddlers so everyone had a great time! We’ll be back for sure.
C.
We ate at Alibi. Superb surroundings with views over the vines. Amazing friendly and efficient service from all the staff. Great food. We chose several dishes to share. Tasting trays of beers a good way to go.
C.
Beautiful winery! Their wines were also delicious. The grounds are beautiful with some amazing views. They have a lovely patio and a pub downstairs that has beer as well.
J.
We were in a bit of a rush and rang ahead to ask if it was likely we could be served in under an hour. When we arrived they were very helpful and accommodating to our time constraints! The meal was delicious and so pretty (we ordered market fish, roasted venison, and truffle fries), but the portion sizes of the mains were a bit small. We pretty much filled up on the truffle fries, which were amaaaazing. All in all, will definitely visit again.
R.
The chefs choice menu was fine but when you also buy the wine match you shouldn't have to ask for the wine to match the food twice. Apart from that the service was professional
S.
Fantastic setting and lovely food. Excellent wines. A mention to our waitress verity who was a wonderful balance of informed and , attentive service . The best service we experienced on our trip to waiheke.
L.
Gorgeous estate. We stopped in for charcuterie and wine while touring Whaiheke Island, and really enjoyed our visit! The service was great and we were happy to meet Laura near the end of our visit, a server also from Canada, who was so nice, congratulating us on our honeymoon and providing us with some helpful tips for visiting the area. Thanks Laura!
E.
Strongly recommend to enjoy lunch here ~ Delicious food and wines with great services & scenery
F.
Highly recommend. Excellent place with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Delicious wines and nibbles. Will definitely return. I'm a Kiwi but Swedish tourists recommended Tantalus Estate and we weren't disappointed.
M.
The wines were nice admittedly, but nothing to write home about. They had a good variety, but the quality of the wines didn’t match the pretentiousness of some of the staff, namely the manager, Fernando Torres. While the wines were nice, I was thoroughly unimpressed by the lack of hospitality and arrogant attitude.
R.
We had wine and lunch at Tantalus and we loved the wine, the food and the view, great vibes!
J.
We had great food and great service. Value for money!
R.
Visited for a wedding rehearsal dinner in the private event space. Crisp, flavorful wines and a well-designed dinner including pork belly. Bonus if it’s a clear night, as the back deck allows wide views of the night sky.
L.
We had a delightful dining experience at lunch today. The setting the food and the service came together to make our family occasion special. We had the truffle fries and the duck liver pate, the angus steak and the pork belly, all cooked to perfection. And the desserts? Wow. Thank you Tantalus.
S.
Fab! So pretty and lovely, A++++ on a nice day
J.
We had a wonderful meal, with very interesting flavours and textures. The highlight of the occasion was the excellent service from our waiter Ryan (from Glasgow) who made us feel very special by remembering all our first names and looking after our table so well. Thanks Ryan, and thanks Tantalus for a memorable day
G.
Spectacular food and wine, beautiful setting and awesome service
E.
We did both a wine tasting upstairs and grabbed a snack in a beer in the Alibi Brewery downstairs. The space upstairs was well-decorated and had a great vibe. The wines were ok. The view from the patio of Alibi was fantastic. The beers were also just ok. We did quite enjoy the wagyu sliders.
E.
absolutely stunning and beautifully prepared lunch.
A.
Super overpriced for very little food, yummy though. Got truffle fries and 30g of cheese. Two beers and a sav. Felt like we should have been dressed up
L.
Best on the island in my opinion (I visited 5 of 30 so take with a grain of salt). The food was delicious, the wine was terrific, and the views and the ground, just phenomenal!!! I will absolutely be back!
C.
Amazing Friday lunch experience with beautiful food and attentive staff. Special mention to Big Al who looked after us and made sure we had everything we need - he was exceptional.
J.
Amazing! Just the best food! The most amazing service from Anna (I believe) and it was such a beautiful birthday lunch. Hands down exquisite all around. Thank you so much!
m.
Highly recommended. The place is beautiful and the food is amazing. Specially desserts. There is not many places in the island where you can find good desserts and this is definitely one! Their Cabernet franc- merlot is exquisite. A must go in the island!
l.
Had a great time at Tantalus. loved %80 of the wines, didn't dislike any of it though. Our host Bianca was a good laugh. Probably be back soon
J.
Had the three course meal, beautiful food, wine and location. They have a great outdoors area with hats provided for a sunny day.
J.
Excellent fine food and wine, on the pricey side, but totally worth it
R.
One of my favourite vineyards on waiheke island. Beautiful scenery as well as great craft beer and wine tasting. The games outside are a real treat too. Food looks and smells amazing. Make sure this one is on your list!
P.
Superb wine, very pleasant staff. Didn't eat there but the good food looked great. Would have given 5 stars if I got a credit for the tasting flight with I bought wine
J.
Only word to describe this place is stunning. Best by far on Waiheke after visiting all the restaurants. No sea view but stunning food and old-world wines served by some of the best staff around make it a 10/10 experience.
R.
Wow ok. Mariano, you are a legend. Not only was the wine the best I've ever tried, but you knew your stuff and gave us the best experience. See you next time.
D.
Delicious food and fantastic service from our waitress. Didn’t catch her name sorry but very short, and A+ friendly. Will certainly return
A.
Best meal I've had in my life!
Duck and lamb were fantastic.
Amazing wine.
And beautiful scenery
20/10
T.
Fabulous surroundings, quality food and wine. There's something here for everyone and it's even kid friendly on a nice day as you can sit in the grounds and enjoy a drink.
L.
This was Dad's place of choice to come to for wine and beer tasting for his Birthday. A great choice too! As they were out from the UK, it was a treat - for all. What a day. I would suggest you all make a day out to Tantalus and let life take care of itself for awhile.
L.
Very knowledgeable about the wines and a lovely place to visit
D.
Had my fifth lunch at Tantalus today, and each time the experience has been top notch. There was a wait on the food so they brought a complimentary round of amazing carpaccio for a nibble inbetween to tide our table over. Why other restaurants don't do this when the kitchen is slammed is beyond me. Well done Tantalus.
R.
amazing food, servise, venue - 10 out of 10!
J.
Very nice staff, much more modern than a mudbrick and cooler and quite unique. Lacks a little charm as result but great venue and a bit different. Great cheese plate!
D.
The most attentive and friendly staff. Great craft beers. Excellent wines. Beautiful food.
J.
Delicious food, excellent wine and a beautiful place
S.
Amazing experience. Next level dining - would highly recommend and will be going again!
J.
Lovely food, staff a little clinical. Probably more formal than you'd expect to go on a short island holiday
C.
Beautiful environment, very attentive wait staff and superb food. We enjoyed our experience immensely
J.

Four of us adults went to the Alibi Brewery Bar. The food is incredible!! Reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back again....only issue we had was, the horrible little stools you had to sit on. We all had sore and numb bottoms after 1 hour. Comfortable seats with padding and a back rest would of made everything perfect. Extending the outside area would benefit too.

Brilliant venue in the heart of Waiheke. No ocean views but you get a lovely view of the surrounding vineyards and it’s one of the only places on Waiheke where it doesn’t feel like you’re on an island.
We didn’t have a booking and the restaurant was fully booked, but we were able to sit in the sunroom area. The host was lovely, great conversation and added to a great day. Food was phenomenal, even though we only had the bar menu. Coffee is locally sourced (I.e on the island) and we even got to witness a proposal. Will be returning.

(Translated) We visited in the North Island's second winery. The design is very modern, surrounded by vineyards around the premises, close to an open visit. We are here to tasting wine-tasting drink. Because we only just man is the main driver, even if he wanted to taste the very wine. Because of security considerations to drive, do not drink and give up. So we four women friends to enjoy the pleasure black.
A wine tasting can enjoy a total of four different wine. This file is actually tasting something very subjective. We are not experts, so enjoy, improvisation than anything else. Ordered a caviar taste of fries and integrated thinking from the platter with wine is really good fit, but also because the environment is very elegant, although many guests did not use noisy congestion. There are indoor and outdoor dining area. Store for those with reduced mobility, because coming in the room from the outside moving line waviness little shake, ask if the store has elevator can be resolved? I did not expect really lift pass allows reduced mobility, feeling really humane to keep abreast of the heart.
Toilet maintenance is very clean and elegant.
Too much to later add a cup of cocktail, watching the bartender's performance is also very pleasing. Outdoor dining table with children parade area, there can only say that this is a winery temperature. Not only of thinking about profit.
Recommended for visitors to the North Island, a worthwhile trip.

(Translated) A stylish winery that can be put into the vineyard. It seems that they are also making beer, and 4 types of tasting sets are good.
The wine was delicious, but the food was the best on the island. Truffle potato fries, oysters and ribbed steak with bones are especially recommended.

(Translated) Beautiful estate. It is of recent construction compared to the others of the island but decidedly excellent, and has become among the most famous and popular despite having relatively young wines. As said, the estate looks beautiful, with a driveway, well-furnished cottage and then overlooking the vineyards with passage to other wineries on the other side. They have a very large room to eat even though it is on reservation. For the tasting they have a couple of white lists at an excellent price. The staff is very kind and friendly, they accompany you in the tasting with a lot of detailed explanations about the wine you are tasting. Mandatory stage.

Tenuta bellissima. Tappa obbligatoria.

(Translated) Fine cuisine. If you like it 5 stars. If you are not so chic and like large portions without any green leaves and branches as an optical embellishment, this is wrong. Then there are only 3 stars for the food. The whole is beautifully between vineyards. Really suitable for relaxing. And the service is also very nice. The Sauvignon Blanc gets 5 stars ....
