Reviews of NZ Post House Wellington Ground Floor
s.
Very old office building, impeccable view on the top floor, newly done toilets. A cafe and a coffee place down stairs. Close to town.
J.
Outside the ratrace business hours, there are comfortable seating to pursue your mail.
G.
One of those older buildings lined extensively with white asbestos under its internal and external cladding as seen from the 2016 Wellington quake. Sadly the number of people who have died from working in this building are kept fairly quite from the 70s and 80s. I know of six but I'm sure there are many many others... I wonder how many have been informed? Better to build a new building and start again!
Q.
The lady at main reception is absolutely no help at all and isn't interested in helping anybody. Don't really know what she does there all day? Go around the corner to the paying counter and box lobby and the staff there are absolutely amazing
G.
It's NZ Posts Corporate building. Has a warm, well laid out box lobby, there is a good cafe in the building, and a ATM. There is also a place to drop off parcels and mail.
A.
It's a post shop with lots of PO Boxes. Most of them seem to be arranged in numerical order, which is better than the set-up they had while they were in the basement :}
H.
Ok service but lousy delivery times - tracking of small parcels should be a standard..have a look at international services and what they offer
M.
The best night staff of anywhere I've ever been. 11/10 for those WONDERFUL people.
R.
Nice people, its basically a PO Box point but you can post or collect from the back of the house

(Translated) First the positive aspects: here we have the main post office in the capital. Accordingly, you can not only use classic services such as sending letters and parcels, but also have private mailboxes etc. You can also have a bite to eat or a drink in the canteen.
Now the slightly less good aspects: I don't want to be unfair. It is clear that it depends a lot on the person and situation. Therefore my opinion should not be overrated. It is my personal impression. As for classic services, it could have been friendlier and better. Just put down the stamps and say, throw it in yourself, has nothing to do with service thinking. Especially if you still have to ask where the letters should be thrown in.
Another point: In New Zealand, the official silver coins are issued by the post office. In Wellington you can only get them here. In contrast to all other cities, you cannot even see things yourself here. They are all behind the counter in the background and have to be brought over individually to be seen. When it says that the cheaper things are suddenly no longer there and you can only buy the expensive ones, a strange taste remains.
I have long considered whether I should award 2 or 3 stars and give 3 stars with the hope that it will get better in the future.
(Original)
