The store is clean, spacious, light and well presented. The air also smells fresh and you always feel comfortable. Staff are welcoming, professional and ask what you are wanting to achieve to ensure they deliver the best service. The full back laser hair removal has been highly successful with 80% reduction on my first visit. I would recommend laser hair removal above waxing any day - so much easier and with no pain. From my experience, if you are considering a cheaper alternative… don’t, as it will cost you in the long run. The Finishing Touch also has a great range of services for men and women and was one of my top picks when shopping around. Try nails with Claire, my girlfriend’s nails are always amazing - so creative.

I had a lovely experience visiting The Finishing Touch salon today. I had a Fiji deluxe pedicure with Rochelle, from start to finish Rochelle was gentle and kind giving me a very relaxing foot rub, pedicure and exfoliation. The icing on the cake was the wonderful parafin foot treatment, highly recommend for baby soft skin. I really appreciated the use of medical grade equipment and the nice gesture of complimentary tea. A cut above some of the other salons in Wellington, will definitely return!

Always such a high quality and luxury experience! Always feel so amazing and pampered during my nail appointments ☺️ Receptionist is so lovely and they have amazing stock of Pure Fiji! Would highly recommend Mimi she does such amazing gel polish!

Very calm environment and the staff are very kind and know what they are doing. Kathy is an excellent nail technician and Jan always has a warm welcoming smile every time I go there.

2 years ago I had the most horrendous, bitten nails. Thankfully, I found Kathy and her team at The Finishing Touch. She was able to restore my nails and I can’t believe how different they are today. All the staff are attentive, warm and welcoming. Kathy is always professional and precise. She takes a lot of pride in her work and the results are fabulous. They also provide tea/coffee and a delightful chocolate fish! The salon is impeccably clean and their hygiene is excellent. (using only your own nail files) I would highly recommend.

Such amazing service - I am a nail biter and Kathy is working to transform my nails. They look so amazing every time I leave and it has definitely helped to get the biting under control. I also love that Kathy explains what she is doing and why and answers my random questions on nails and how everything works :)

Can I just say how amazing and accomodating the ladies here are? I'm a complete klutz but these ladies made sure I went out of the salon with beautiful nails even though I screwed it up 3 times! They have been so wonderful and fantastic, I just can't praise them enough! When I'm in Wellington again, I'll come back for that gel 😉🤭 thank you ladies!!!

I started getting my nails done here last year and have been coming every 3 weeks since then. The service and experience that I get is always wonderful. From Jan who keeps the place running like a well oiled machine (P.S. Try the Turkish apple tea), to Kathy who does my PolyGel nails to the highest of standards. I am always getting compliments on my nails and will recommend this place to my friends everytime. Thank you ladies! ❤️

Had my nails done, gel tips, was so impressed with them, they look incredible. The boutique is super friendly, welcoming and made me feel like I was a returning customer on my first visit. I was very impressed with the lengths taken to ensure a complete hygienic environment. Also staff are very knowledgeable about their roles and products. I for one will now be a life long customer. Complete strangers are stopping me about my nails :)

I am so thankful for Kathy and The Finishing Touch! I had just traveled to Wellington from Florida, USA. Unfortunately I did not have time For a manicure before I left for my trip, but luckily for me the staff at the Intercontinental recommended this spa. I walked in without an appointment to see if they might have time available, and Kathy set an appointment for me as I was clearly in need of a manicure. I returned and was warmly greeted and provided a latte. Kathy is clearly a very talented and knowledgeable technician and owner. She even provided me with some extra knowledge and tips for my nail care back home. My French manicure is amazing and was done exactly how I like it (very narrow white line). If I lived in Wellington, I would never go to another salon. I only wish I had time to experience their other services. Thank you for everything Kathy!

Loved my waxing experience and recommendations with Kash. A neat place for all your salon needs! I also went a lil overboard and pampered myself with a facial, loved it.

I have had a wonderful experience with Alana, who provided the most luxurious and restorative pedicure I have ever had. She also gave me a delightful manicure for my wedding day! My nails were so beautifully shaped and the color lasted for over eight days without any chipping whatsoever. Alana is a real professional who also has a lovely personality. Thank you! Thanks to Ina at The Finishing Touch, I have had 2 wonderful gel manicures to show off. One for my wedding and the second for my honeymoon a few months later. It is a very clean and professional salon and I highly recommend The Finishing Touch for all of your nail/beauty needs. Remember to book in advance as this team is so awesome, the booking slots fill up quickly. <3

I have had allergic reactions to UV light before so was worried about having a gel manicure with LED lights. I went in to ask and they offered to do one nail free as a test so I could see if I would have a reaction. My nails were fine so I booked for a full manicure. Very pleased with the results and the staff were all lovely and friendly too.

I have had my nails done for over 15 years and used a number of products. The LCN nail system is well worth the investment. I also recommend it be used alongside a shellac polish for extra long wear and durability. Kathy and her team, are dedicated professionals who know their stuff. She has made some great recommendations and is very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended.

5/5 isn't a high enough rating for the fantastic service that the lovely Briony provides at finishing touch. Her skill and talent for lash extensions are like nobody I've experienced before! (Like seriously - this girl the top of the top) I love them so so much that they have become an addiction! I have been to places before that provide a satisfying end product for various treatments, but I find the environment and experience itself very run of the mill, and leave you with a 'eh' feeling - BUT NOT WITH BRI! She defiantly makes my day that much brighter, every time, no fail. You feel fantastic not only leaving with a set of beautiful new lashes, but also all the good vibes from this girl and the environment she creates! Amazing, just amazing. Highest recommendations!!

I had a manicure and foot massage with Kash and it was incredible. So relaxing and just what I needed after a really long week. I'll be back for sure.

I visited The Finishing Touch Salon regarding their skin rejuvenation lazer treatment as I am 50 years old,originally from South Africa and wanted a treatment that can fight the signs of ageing while simultaneously treating the appearance of open pores, fine lines and sun damage. The process started with Dermaplaning which resulted in a clear, soft skin. The lazer treatment itself were more intense that anything I have experienced before but the process definitely led to a large reduction in pigmentation and my skin was glowing after one week. I was told that up to six treatments would result in completely clear skin - basically remove all signs pigmentation and sun damage. The sensation of each laser impulse was quite mild - similar to a rubber band being flicked softly against the skin. I felt the laser more sharply on my nose and forehead (where there is less fat). The Beauty Therapist Rochelle was very professional and informative about everything she was doing, which really puts me at ease and I would therefore highly recommend the treatment and the Salon. Thank you so much from a very happy customer.

Love the finishing touch... I find that when I go to a cheap nail salon I often end up with my nails in a worse and more damaged state than before... Finishing touch take amazing care of your hands and feet, not only that... it is a great experience where you can take a little time out to feel pampered. Have bought friends vouchers from here as well and they love their experience too! Also they have been a life saver when I have popped in with a broken nail needing a quick patch etc

I've had extensions from various people in the Wellington region but not one of those experiences have even come close to the treatment that I get from Briony at Finishing Touch. It keeps me coming back each month cause I love her work and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who wants beautiful, long lasting luscious lashes.

I appreciated them being able to fit me in on such short notice, however I felt that for the $80 pedicure I paid for it was mediocre. In the pamphlet it outlines the treatment taking 60mins, because of the massage and extra care for paying for the upgraded service. All in all the service took about 45minites, and that's including the time it took to apply the polish. I opted for the more expensive version obviously because I wanted the extra pampering. Once I got home and had a closer look at my toes I realized at least one extra layer of polish should of been applied... you can basically see my nail through the polish. I was going to book a wax and manicure through them but at the end of the day I just felt ripped off and over charged.

Kathy and the girls are fantastic! I love how long my nails last...even after three weeks there are no chips! It's a great time to relax and feel great. Love all the nail art.

Went today without knowing what I wanted. After informative discussions with the owner, I left with not only beautiful nails but with a wealth of knowledge about how to care for them etc and some great handy hints. Totally recommend this place to get good quality nails and even better service!

Briony is the new lash technician at FT and she is incredible. When someone loves what they do, they are invested in to continually improving and providing the best possible experience for the customer. Briony does this again and again (I have been a client of hers even before she worked at Finishing Touch). Truly, truly wonderful. Professional, warm and friendly. After being a client of other nail and beauty spas, I was given a gift card to the finishing touch and had the best facial ever and my toes and fingers are beautiful. . Never going anywhere else. Thank you, Thank you.

Beautiful relaxing pedicure with attentive staff!!

Staff were very friendly. I got my first ever spray tan and they made me feel very comfortable, I just look a bit uneven and blotchy and I have orange hands, but was happy with my arms and legs

Nails looked pretty nice - the lady doing my nails was kind but nicked my skin while filing. Receptionist was rude!

Bikini wax - best I can find in Wellington. First off, it's hard to find a place that uses hot wax instead of strips & has a good technique (and reputation). I'm new to Welly & this is the best place I've found so far. I had Annalisa, her technique was good, she asked me to check it to make sure I was happy, and the wax they use was good (i.e. less painful). It will be my regular bikini wax from here on. (I've been to one other place in Welly but was more painful/technique wasn't good)

Had my eyebrows shaped, very accomodating and a wonderful experience. Was very pleased with how my eyebrows turned out. The lady who shaped them was very nice and offered to redo my eye makeup afterwards. Thank you :)
