Had the tour fully reserved in 2019 pre-COVID and was amazed at all the display items many with minute details as if 3D-printed. There were a lot of different weapons, set pieces and props used in their collaboration with film studios. They even discussed the potential career choices at the end of the tour as well as software requirements etc. Highly recommend visiting for tourists and film buffs, but during the weekdays for less crowded tours.
K.
One of the best places to geek out!! If you are into the movie lores or just love figurines, you can easily spend the whole day just in the shop to admire everything on display.
The tour was great too. Very informational about what they have done. The best of all is that the tour guide is a huge geek as well and you can tell that they are so immersed in the stories and movies as well.
Highly recommended.
j.
Awesome experience. Our first experience of Wellington and this (Weta) along with Te Papa Gallipoli was beyond awesome!..our guide, Mel, exuded an energy and enthusiasm that was just amazing. Not sure why I see a 3 star tag from other reviews but our experience was great. Love it and would highly recommend it... interestingly Te Papa Gallipoli was set up by Weta...my only gripe was I could not buy the Halo magnum replica and the life sized Warthog (Halo) 😊
s.
So awesome! Combo tour completely exceeded expectations. We had an intimate experience under Level 2 on Sunday AM. Our guide Dan was superb! Have added a bunch of movies to the list to checkout. Highly recommended!
P.
A must visit place in Welly and if you are Lord of the Rings fan. They just bring you around their studio, you can have a look at the props and understand what's going on !
I would say it's worth the money. Oh one thing you aren't allowed to take photos inside but they have a place where you can take photos
Plus they have this amazing guy who made props from tin foil ! Beat that
K.
The tour was such an amazing and insightful peak into the intricate and detailed workflows of creating movie/production ready props and wearables, especially the lord of the rings!
R.
Insight into to some of the amazing movies Weta is a part of...need to take the tour but make sure you book as it xan become very limited.
W.
A must visit attractions in Wellington, also unique learning experience for all ages. We joined the combo tour, definitely worth it 💯
A.
For all LOTR fans , their precious is here !
C.
Interesting to visit once. Lots of talking. The last of the hour tour was the best as you get to see how things are made
A.
HECK YEAH! This place is super cool and enjoyed every moment wish it was longer and had more time but the overall experience was amazing the tour guid was incredible super informative and really knew her stuff. Only downside is I wish we had more time and could see more stuff a lot of divas was on lord of the rings but I really wanted to see more as they have worked on a lot more films than just the lord of the rings trilogy!
Á.
We did the tour was such a interesting. Many movies filmed here. But the souvenir shop is the best! 😂 and the entrance.
A.
Dan our tour guide was awesome - very passionate and professional in a friendly and approachable manner. We did the Combo Tour and loved seeing close up all the detail and skills involved.
D.
Weta workshop tour... Kevin was our guide... Very knowledgeable and communicated well. Lots of facts and information... Kept my attention the whole time... Not really for toddlers but OK for teenagers up. Plenty to look at... Some photo ops but not on everything. Gift shop is pricey but is for tourists. Lots to look at and touch. Really enjoyed the tour.
M.
Very fascinating experience to learn about props and discover the hard work and extreme creativity of this often overlooked side of the movies
A.
OMG it was fantastic. Our tour guide Mel was awesome, she made the tour very exciting. I recommend anyone thinking abt going to GO!.
G.
What a fantastic place to visit, the team are amazing. A must go if you're in wellington!
C.
Great your guides (Mel). Very informative, and a great insight into behind the scenes. Highly recommend to anyone who has a day off and wants to do something new :)
L.
If you like movies, go there. Book tours way in advance. Tour guide was so cool, and seeing all the things and how it was made is pretty awesome. I was so happy to see the Lord of the rings things. Great fun for older kids and adults 😀
L.
Interesting workshop
We didn’t join the guided tour as too expensive and we are not really fancy about it, just curious to make a visit it is located in the residential area
S.
Enjoyed the visit, really a lot of incredibly creative people and projects going on. The sheer amount of work that goes into a production is astonishing. Neat that our tour guide was in all three of the LOTR films and in the Hobbit film as well. The only slight disappointment I could have is that the tour was very limited to about four rooms. Not that I was necessarily expecting a whole lot more (the price isn't terribly cheap), however, I expected to see work stations, people working on current projects, actually seeing artists creating instead of just being toured around a set up area. Still incredibly interesting, but lacking a little. Guess they can't risk losing a contract because some goof wants to take a photo....
Our tour guide did go a little long (7 minutes or so) on a bit of a rabbit trail with 3D printers; talking about how anyone can 3D print guns in their own homes and how the end of the world is pending. Had some points, but I think he didn't quite grasp all of the concepts of 3D printing.
E.
Great tour and had heaps of fun! Had a wonderful time looking around and our tour guide Dan was super engaging! What were the chances of having the same awesome guide from our Hobbiton tour 2 years ago! The combo tour was fantastic and I would highly recommend it!
S.
Must go place, did tour with them. Really enjoyed. Tours are bit expensive but worth it. They also have merchandise shop if you want to buy something but as usual all stuffs are very expensive. In my opinion just do combo tour.
R.
The shop is great but if you're a fan, make sure to book a tour. We had a wonderful time with Matt. It did not feel like a tour but like chat between cinema lovers.
S.
Dan was a fantastic guide, great sense of humor, easy to talk to, very detailed in knowledge. Highly recommend.
j.
Must visit for all movies and games enthusiasts! The tour was a bit too rushed and sadly, lots of it was a "no photos allowed" zone. (they will politely explain why) Staff were all amazing and knowledgeable. Hope the tour times/run will be better in the future. Cool exhibits tho!
W.
awesome! great tour and fun lord of the rings stuff to look at :) Really worth 28nzd!
T.
Such a cool place and so much passion that goes into this. Highly recommend the combo tour!
N.
I've never watched Lord of the Rings or Thunderbird but went because my partner wanted to go. I must say, our guide (sorry I can't remember his name but he was the Hawaiian man) was so amazing that despite never having watched the show and movie, I had a blast! He was so passionate and made it interesting for everyone.
R.
To be in the presence of these awsome details and bits and pieces is awe-inspiring.
While the Weta staff were very good the whole process was let down by the lack of involvement in some of the projects and the hokey rooms you are led through. A 3D sit down mini movie showcasing things done, and how they were done, plus coverage of actual things being developed would have been nice; for instance the CNC system was dead on our tour therefore a video showing it working on something we recognize would have been appreciated & relevant.
Also parking is a big issue.
Barely worth the reasonable entry fee but nice nontheless
D.
Amazing place learnt so much about the process of making the special effects that went into some of my favourite movies. Highly recommended.
t.
Great tour we learned heaps and the guide Dan was friendly and entertaining.
P.
We enjoyed the tour around the work shop
A.
Fantastic. Small tour , but a good close up look at their work.
R.
Great place to visit for some really cool memorabilia from heaps of different movies, other than lotr too! Worth a trip. Deffs book ahead as it sells out really quick. We did the workshop tour and I would say it was more akin to a museum than a workshop tour, but still very cool stuff to see what they have done and how the workshop has influenced the movie world
Very knowledgeable staff! Thanks
J.
Get your geek on! This is just awesome! And for the dad's the thunderbirds tour is just amazing!
F.
Definitely worth the trip. A bus on Manners St in the CBD takes you almost to the front door of Weta Workshop and only costs $5 per person. The tour was interesting and thorough and although I would have liked to have seen more stuff, I felt it was definitely worth the reasonable price of $28 per person.
R.
Really enjoyed my combo tour which involved going round the worksop and seeing the thunderbird miniatures as well. I also opted to get the shuttle which on the cold rainy day I was there, was really convenient.
The workshop really showed off the craftsmanship and the work that goes into all the pieces that Weta creates. I didn't realise how many movies Weta had been involved in before I visited, even if it was only for a small scene. If you like Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit (like me!) there was lots of props and costumes to see. We also got to see the sculptor Warren Beaton working on his latest project and got to have a chat with him which was really interesting.
I wasn't expecting the Thunderbirds section to be that interesting but thought I'd do it seeing as I was already there. It was so so good! The amount of details that went into the miniatures was incredible, and our tour guide showed us all the hidden details.
Our tour guide Dan was really good, very knowledgeable and had some cool facts to share.
Very glad I went to Weta, an amazing experience :)
D.
Very impressive models and I would highly recommend going there if visiting Wellington.
K.
This is one of those rare "must see even if this sort of thing doesn't actually fascinate me" things. The magical world of movies and making stuff look real. Little secrets from movies you've seen presented by an enthusiastic and interesting employee who clearly loves his job ... and telling visitors about it.
G.
Awesome learning experience. It gets the creative juices flowing after seeing all the production departments needed to make movies, from fabrication off movie props using metalwork, prosthetics, model building, through to animatronics using servo motors. Really interesting day and great shop to buy movie replicas from Lord of the Rings and other great movies Weta had been a part of. Definitely recommend!
P.
A must-do as part of any visit to Wellington, the workshop tour (and optional Thunderbirds Are Go tour too) is a fascinating insight into the huge amount of work produced by the highly creative team. Tours are informative and efficient without losing their Kiwi humility. The guides are excellent - great spiels with a wealth of information.
K.
Great tour, very intriguing look into their work.
J.
Tours were so informative and interesting, far more so than I expected. Thunderbirds are go and you should go visit!
S.
Very cool and interesting . Highly recommend for any visitor to Wellington
N.
Delivery & provision of Weta Workshop services has always been outstanding.
T.
Did the 45 min guided tour through the workshop, and it was amazing! If you like movies this is a must.
N.
Host was very helpful & chatty. A bit too long, took 1 3/4hr.
N.
My daughter loved it, was pretty interesting
T.
View the 20min theater video prior to the tour to give you real appreciation of how far the Weta team have come.
Our guide Anthony was also excellent, great knowledge and delivery, and it helps being a like minded geek.
M.
Awesome tour, amazing how many movies Weta Workshop has been involved in! Worth the trip!
C.
Awesome tour. Really interesting and the staff are super friendly. Even our driver who picked up up (shout out to Chewy) was awesome and full of great fascinating information!
C.
Had a great time on combo tour with son. We had been to initial tour 6-7 years ago and they have improved it further with more rooms, great examples and models with a hands on final area. Miniature tour was great and amazing details especially for fan of old Thunderbird show.
D.
A bit pricey but overall worth it. The staff were great and the tours were very informative and at points hands on which I enjoyed greatly. I loved being able to see what goes into so many classic and high end movies with a down to earth tour guide sharing their passion for movies with everyone in my tour group. Overall a very wonderful experience.
S.
Magical experience. Guide was fun and knowledgeable. Especially loved Thunderbirds sets. Really took me back to my childhood
S.
This tour was one of the best choices I made on my trip! I was on the last tour of the day on Friday, so there were only 3 of us. You start in the Weta Cave and then get escorted to the workshop. Reece was our guide and did a fantastic job! He answered all our questions and told some great stories! He actually worked on the costumes from LOTR, so it was really cool hearing first hand what the characters were like and how much work went in to each film. Highly recommend!!
J.
We bought the combo tour. Really really fascinating and informative tour, friendly staff, and there was a great variety of collectables in the shop. Will definitely be back nex time. Highly recommended!
A.
This will work for Hobbit and Lord of the Ring fans. Go behind the scene to understand the work needed in film making.
J.
AMAZING experience. Well worth going on the tour. We had Wyeth who was awesome! Will definitely come back. Loved the experience!!
T.
A great view behind the scenes and it's amazing the numbers of films Weta have been involved with. Our guide was super knowledgeable and had a ton of anecdotes she shared with us. There are two parts, one where you get to see some of the stuff they made for famous films and find out how they are made. A second part is where you see miniatures, mainly Thunderbird, which is also really interesting.
M.
Great place for a tour if you're into your movies, esp Lord Of The Rings fans. Had a great tour guide who although had probably done that tour a million times did it with the excitement of a rookie. Lots of things to touch and see, really great tour. Highly recommended thing to do if you're ever in Wellington
P.
Great visit. The workshop is totally worth it! Only down side is that it is too short.
The explanations and what you see is truly interesting but I wished we had seen even more. It misses someone doing something while you are visiting. That would add a star to the score.
Worth the price and totally better than just showing up and visit the cave. The movie in the cave sounds more like a commercial even though you get to see some footages of virtual animation that are quite good. The props you see are great but the explanations in the workshop are way better than just seeing that and leave.
H.
This is an amazing place to visit. There are so many examples of work from the movies and TV shows Weta has worked on over the years. They frequently also have staff available who can answer questions about the props if you want to know something specific.
B.
Did the 3.30 combo tour on 16/1/21, was absolutely amazing, can't remember the guide's name but he was fantastic, knowledgeable , funny and friendly. Definitely added to the whole experience.
k.
Dan (McKenna) was an awesome tour guide, amazing exhibits, will definitely do it again when we are in Wellington again.
N.
We did the Thunderbirds tour, absolutely loved it. Was the right amount of time as we took our 3 kids aged between 3 - 9 yrs old. The tour guide was great - very informative and enthusiastic.
R.
The workshop tour was insightful and awesome! There were so many props of all sizes from tonnes of movies made over the years. Unfortunately, we couldn't take any photos inside as it's not allowed due to copyright laws but there was a spot at the end which we could take photos and speak to some of the sculptors involved in making props. We got to see some of the machinery used to make lifesize models and larger scales too. The tour guide was very entertaining and really knew his stuff!!
M.
Such a fun experience. Great people! We only had time for the miniatures tour so we’ll definitely be returning for more on our next Wellington weekend.
A.
Great 45 min bubble tour, felt more like a conversation and a good laugh with a friend than a prepared speech - would be cool for an expansion of more movies and props Weta have worked on, as well as more DND related + board games in the gift shop
Z.
Took the tour, which was underwhelming. Sat in a room with roughly 20 others and watched a 25 minute video, and then the actual tour consisted of being talked to in narrow rooms with props which you could not touch except for in the final 10 or so minutes. The tour guide was good however.
The shuttle from the city to the workshop was more interesting than the tour.
J.
Fantastic experience. The team here a truly gifted and the detail they can achieve is truly beyond words. Matt our guide was great, knowledgeable, witty, engaging and relatable such a great experience, thank you Weta team.
T.
Great tour from a very knowledgeable guide. Would highly recommend!
s.
Great tour and souvenir shop, there's also a cafe inside. 2 tours is about 1.30hrs. Pram accessible. Off street parking. Guided tour with bus transfer between sites (walking is only 5min away). There are costumes you are allowed to touch, play, wear at the end of each tour. They have weapons for you to take photos with too.
J.
Very informative tours, worth every cent if you are a fan of the Lord of the rings/Hobbit films. The location is a little far out from downtown Wellington but the car rides were very scenic along the coast.
L.
Wonderful trip, but it's a pity we can't take pictures at this price. It may be better to open up more unclassified areas to take photos.
Z.
Loved the experience
P.
Very great experience! Be creative and make great stuff!
D.
Wonderful time learning about the behind the scenes of movies and a bit about how props, costumes, and other great pieces are made. Highly recommend! Especially coming from someone who has already gone a few times!
M.
A great tour not just for fans of their big movies like Lord of the rings and district 9 but for anyone who is interested in all aspects of movie making and movie history. Well worth the visit.
M.
My personal highlight of Wellington! (That was not a natural formation). Thunderbirds, The lord of the rings, Ghost in a shell and how can I not mention the legendary life sized fully functioning _______ from Halo!!! I won't spoil the surprise! You must check weta out in person!
P.
I had high expectations of the tour after seeing the exhibitions but was a little disappointed. For the $28 you pay for a 45 minute tour you get to enter just 3-4 rooms with movie props. No touching or photos until the last room. There are some windows into the workshop but no one was in there. Weta must be pulling in $1000s a day and looking at the exhibitions they have put on I am sure they can do better than this.
J.
Absolutely a fantastic place to visit! We took an hour flight from Rotorua just to see this place... Did not disappoint at all!
All the staff was super accommodating and so very knowledgeable! I highly recommend doing both tours, there's so much there to take in!
A.
It’s as delightfully quirky as you expect and really easy to get to if you go for the tour that starts in the middle of Wellington.
B.
Being LOTR nerds we really enjoyed it. Need to do the tour thing along with thunderbirds which I also enjoyed but didn't think I would. A few spots for pictures. Can visit the store without going on tour.
G.
A great inside look to movie production industry. For LoTR & The Hobbit fans it's must when visiting NZ.
I'd advise jumping on a tour of the Wellington area which includes Weta. The information/stories they give are top notch! This way you'll get a full experience and appreciate so much more.
As for Weta itself, a fantastic place for inspiration!
L.
Amazing tour, worth visiting! Luke our tour guide was fantastic. As I'm not a huge film nerd I wasn't expecting much but left feeling very impressed. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
W.
Great experience. Did not realise how many movies they were involved with. Attention to detail amazing.
D.
Weta Workshops is amazing. The people that produce the models, weapons, scenery and everything to do with movie effects, are so talented.
s.
Love this place, the work they do on movies is amazing. Well worth a visit
D.
Excellent tour and guide.
L.
Amazing Amazing Amazing! That's all I got to say 😎
D.
Excellent tour of the workshop by Matt whose knowledge, passion & humour elevated an already incredible experience. The tour had interactive elements showcasing how movie props and costumes are designed and created. The additional Thunderbirds tour showed how the new series was reimagined for the 21st century. It was amazing to see the miniature sets, in particular the International Rescue base and the interior of Lady Penelope's house. Well worth the time and highly recommended if visiting Wellington.
J.
Friendly, knowledgable tourguide.
More artistic works on display than most modern art galleries
S.
Cool to have a tour with a great guide. Saw some interesting displays.
F.
Fascinating, very insightful tour. The only complaint is that the gift shop was closed by the time our tour returned so we were unable to buy a souvenir. Would have appreciated being told that before we started the tour.
L.
Did the workshop tour and it was very well run and interesting. Lots of props etc to look at, guide was great and well spoken. Shop had lots of cool stuff to buy and look at.
M.
It was informative but I wish the other tour should have been included in the price.one tour was over so soon for the price one is paying
R.
Our tour-guide was obviously an enthusiast. Makes such a difference when the guide is passionate about what they do. Great tour, well impressed, Well done Weta for a great tour through your world, and the right man leading that tour. Well worth the few $.
M.
Absolutely loved this when I did it. Our guests that go on the workshop tour absolutely love it too. Showcases the results of the skill of the crafts involved. From a process point of view it is informative too. Fantastic guides
L.
Amazing behind the scenes look at how special effects are achieved. Everyone is very passionate about what they do and it shows. A must-see in Wellington.
C.
Was a pretty awesome tour. Tour guide was fantastic!!
G.
Was very interesting tour. The guide was very good and easy to listen to.
T.
This is a good place to go if you're a fan of the movies such as lord of the rings and the Hobbit, however it is still good even if you're not because on the tour they talk you through the general process of how props are made etc.
K.
Definitely take warm clothing if it is a cold day as the warehouses are cold, but overall good experience, took the guided tour, and he was a fantastic tour guide, kept my attention thru out, I think you have to be a fan to truly appreciate the work as you cant take photos of the displays or touch, would have loved to of seen more of weta work, can tick it off as my must see for Wellington
D.
Awesome highly recommended to visit and take a tour for LOTR or Thunderbirds fans and any film nerds too
C.
Fun glance into the props from lots of their films. The gift shop has loads of cool stuff. They even let you interact with certain props! Very fun visit.
M.
Went here with the whanau last year and loved it. Do the tour round the workshop and you'll see lots of fascinating props that are used to make the movie. As an example, the mithril armour used in the Lord of the Rings is made from a specially weaved material used to make butcher gloves. There's only one manufacturer of the product in the world. So, lots of random info like that you'll learn ;)
J.
Fun tour with Anthony. He was enthusiastic about the content and history of Weta Workshop.
L.
If you like LOTR & The Hobbit movies and were able to go to Hobbiton in Matamata, I'd suggest you take a tour of Weta Workshop. I'm giving it four stars because I wish the tour had been longer, that we'd been able to see more actual working space, and that we'd been able to meet more employees (I get it why they don't but it would have made the tour perfect). The tour goes through a few different rooms and you get to see actual props that Weta made, learn about how certain props are made, and get a brief history of what movies Weta has been involved in. It was fun. I would recommend the free 25 minute movie if you have extra time, it is really well done and you get a history of the company.
B.
The tour is great. No photos allowed during the tour, but the tour guides are very knowledgeable and you get to see cool props and processes for many different movies.
D.
Dan the No.1 tour guide was the best. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. And Warren was great to talk to.
K.
Great tour - mainly if you like LOTR or hobbit but the number of other things they've done that you don't necessarily know about is astonishing.
M.
I absolutely enjoyed going to the Weta Worshop, it is awesome. There are many things to look at, do not forget to look all the walls when you enter, with that I mean the roof too! Nice diplacement of the objects that are in the exhibition. Take your time to look at them! I highlight the big Gandalf, Gollum and Hurukai statues. Nice place to visit not only if you enjoy movies but also if you enjoy art.
Z.
So much to see and learn, even for the little ones. Very interactive and the staff are great with letting kids touch and hold props. Well worth the trip.
R.
Great tour. Dan, our guide, made it with his passion and deep knowledge.
L.
Incredibly helpful, the guy went out of his way to help with information I needed for my leather work.
B.
would have been more hyped about visiting the centre circa 2003, before the gradual decline in film making that led to the Hobbit prilogies and Mortal Engines. I think the level of craftwork and dedication is great, and loved the area and presentation. For some reason they are selling a plastic model from the 2015 flop "CHAPPiE" for about a thousand bucks? Or regular payments of 115 dollars or something? I don't get it sorry, looks lovely (well, looks like a rip off from the 80s action/gore movie Robocop) but similar to endless bits of generic CG art as seen on CG Society, Artstation and other websites.
M.
Highly recommend interesting to see the amazing work they do.
C.
If you've stopped by the Weta Cave, pay the small fee to see the workshop. Their range of film props, sculptures, weapons and costumes is fantastic. The guides are friendly and knowledgable.
C.
For the average person with some free time, this place is a very interesting insight into the design and manufacture of props and special effects for world-class action. Sci-fi and fantasy films.
For a movie buff, Thunderbirds geek or LOTR fan this is an absolute must-do attraction in New Zealand!
S.
Great shop and love the figures
M.
Highly recommended. The tour guide Austin was very very good- informative, friendly and entertaining. Keep up the fantastic work!!
R.
Very impressed with the combo tour ...great if your into small scale set's.
T.
This is a great visit if you are in Wellington.
Good for ages about 8 and up. Its shorter than you might expect but packed with movie props and enough to impress.
P.
A fantastic place to visit for fans of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies. They do show case their work in other films and TV series like Thunderbirds are Go and the recent Ghost in the Shell movie. Plenty of keepsakes can be found for all budgets from custom sculped character busts through to Fellowship broaches.
You can take a selfie of yourself and a Troll outside and take a more extensive tour of the workshop at a reasonable price. It is very informative of the process and hard work that Weta people go through to get a character on screen.
There is a sense that there is to much emphasis on LotR and Hobbit movies, and there should be more of an up dated focus on more recent projects Weta had undertaken. Still it is an amazing place.
N.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating!
M.
Great visit with real props. Knowledgeable staff, Tristan was great and a good laugh. And a small sculpture tour at the end
R.
Exceedingly reasonably priced tours, very well done, it's a fun place to visit, done three different tours, multiple times. A must for any movie, prop, or special effects geek.
J.
A great place to take out of towners. A good selection of film memorabilia, and if you book in advance, a tour of the Weta Workshop, giving an insight into how the magic in the films is made.
J.
A Special moment spent with my son.
A.
Rebecca Was an awesome guide had a great tour ! Very entertaining informative answered all questions odd one's as well.
Five stars Rebecca!
S.
A recommended stop for anyone passing through the area.
The staff are very friendly and keep the tour interesting and amusing at the same time.
A must visit for anyone, movie enthusiast or not.
L.
Fascinating experience. Kids especially loved it. Workshop tour was great, wish we'd known about the ministage tour earlier... next time.
C.
Great tour we took kids who were inspired!
I.
Awesome place, didn't get a chance to do the tour but just having a look around in the shop and front entry was fun.
d.
Such a cool place where you can see creative people at work
M.
Extremely knowledgeable guide thanks.
S.
So many cool movie things to look at, free documentary is awesome. Didn't get to do the tour but will be back.
H.
Impressive tour and a worthwhile visit. The tour cost a lot but it was worth it. Weta have totally helped us put NZ on the map
S.
Fantastic place to go visit
R.
Have been here way too many times. Every time it brings more surprises. A must-see spot in Wellingtons. Just love the works and the arty vibe.
J.
Went with my friend. A lord of the rings fan. Didn't buy anything too expensive. But I just had to go while I was in Wellington on holidays..
M.
Tour goes quickly as there is alot to see
J.
Amazing place to visit. If you're a fan of lord of the rings or anything else weta has done. It's a pretty cool place with some good photo ops
L.
A must see for all LOTR fans!
K.
Great place, loved the tour. A must do if you ever get the chance.
C.
Super fun, amazing tour guide who was great with our daughter... thanks so much!
M.
Bought lots of stuff in here.. gonna order through online soon. Thank you guys.
J.
Amazing crew. 10/10 experience. highly recommended and very knowledgeable!!
T.
Well worth the full combined tour, dress warm if it's a cold day as they are warehouses no heating
G.
Interesting place and the guide was great. Enthusiastic and very knowledgeable
T.
Brilliant, great to see the props first hand from some great movies. Guide was really interesting
K.
Wow. The talent that is at this place is nothing but amazing. Absolutely blown away
H.
this place is amazing, you can see the weapons and things they used in Lord of the rings and the hobbit, check it out if your in wellington
B.
Absolutely awesome, super knowledgeable guide, awesome props, friendly staff. A must see for LotR fans.
S.
The tour is great and it is very interactive, gift shop is crazy over priced though.
P.
Amazing place absolutely recommend to anyone!
M.
Great place for all movies fans!
B.
Awesome to see original props
S.
Great tour, loved it
E.
Awesome place to visit and buy LOR stuff.
H.
Such a fantastic informative tour.
S.
Love weta work shop because Sidharth Malhotra have visited weta Workshop and he loved it and especially Lord Of The Rings have changed the way so It's Speacial.
C.

(Translated) Recommended tour. Even if the second tour (Thunderbirds Are GO!) Wasn't that interesting, because I didn't know the series and therefore couldn't assign the film locations to the series. It was nice anyway. Well guided tour and learned a lot!
(Original)
Empfehlenswerte Tour.
