Reviews of Island View Reserve
M.Beautiful, sandy beach. Cool rock formations off shore that you can paddle out to, one called the donut hole, has a cave you can go into with a tiny beach inside. Very cool Place to visit. If tide is good, you can SUP or kayak out.
W. B.Amazing spot! Great for freedom camping, but spots are limited. Spot has nice clean toilets. Great views and kayaking to Donut Island is an awesome experience.
l. y.Our party of four did a spot of kayaking and stand up paddling to Donut Island and the rest around. Waters are relatively calm on the left end but definitely a work out.
N. H.Went to the Sunday Market in Whangamata at Island View Reserve, place was buzzing and lots of local products and a nice band so set the ambience. I had made a 17 second video to show you more however I can't seem to upload it sorry, this is a screenshot from the video.
L.I wish I playgrounds like this when I was a kid. This one has it all, flying fox, rock climbing wall, swings and the playground itself.

S. C.This is a pretty area of Whangamata beach with Island views they have a protective area for the native birds when nesting on the sand dunes. A summers retreat and friendly place to hangout.

M. D.The flying fox is excellent fun for kids of all ages, rope swings, climbing walls, huge jungle gym and a bit of beach bush for adventures or open feilds for cricket n ball games and has freedom parking in car park by loos.. Oh and naturally the beach is supreme .
