C.What a lovely place! We love to stay with animals! We had only one night stay but we would like to recommend it to all of my friends. The staff are friendly and the camping area is well organised. Their garden is beautiful too! There is no wifi here but playing with animals will let you forget the internet.

a.Nice place, wish they offered hiring of the pool out as once there is more than a few groups place becomes far too crowded. Beautiful pool and nice gardens. Very relaxing.
I.It's a lovely little spot. The gardens ate massive, it will need a bit of tlc in the bathrooms etc to make it better but would stay there again. For camp fee you can also explore the lake and animal park. Camp areas are roomy and have great shelter with large camellia hedges
P.A hidden gem. Great for the whole family with birds, farm animals, goats, pigs and a donkey. There is also a stunning lake you can walk around, a small museum and even a camping area or accommodation for those who don't like camping. A must visit place for all.
R.Such an awesome place to stay! The grounds are very tidy with full facilities available. The best aspect for us was being able to wander around the park, feeding and visiting the farm animals. There's a great little walk around the farm and lake, and if you're lucky you may get a personal guide in the form of the resident terrier. The owner is lovely and accommodating, prices are very reasonable.

R.Ashley Park is a wonderful place to stay. Grounds, walks and Lake walk great. It's a shame that there appears to be no regular ablution block cleaning or rubbish removal.

P.Beautiful place to stay highly recommend! the manor fit our large whānau with plenty of rooms to sleep, rustic grandeur with all the convenient mod-cons. A great outdoor space for el fresco dining and a few quite drinks watching the sun go down. Kids of all ages enjoyed the animals, mini golf, museum and spectacular stroll around the lake and surrounds. Looking forward to our next visit.

E.Best way to describe Ashley park is as a hidden jewel. We stayed in August and again now. The animals are the best entertainment for the children but also encompasses a beautiful lake, minigolf and even a tennis court. Not to mention the centenary trees and all sort of exotic flowers. For us the nature and variety of plants and animals is what brought us again. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
We have stayed in the cottage and big house and loved both!
New owners are making constant improvements for this legendary place and will soon be very popular so be quick and experience it now!
P.We had tea with scones, jam and cream (and the perfect weather). It was all quite perfect. It is a pllace we will long remember.

R.Best place I've come across in my travel...they hire out for function.,home stay,peaceful an very well kept property...very peaceful scenery with animals,trees,garden set on a great big peace of land....room for the campers to tie up...the list goes on
H.This place is amazing. $5 for adults $1.50 for kids and $1 for a bag of food. We spent about an hour and a half going around letting the animals and walking around the lake. Fantastic friendly Service. The little doggy even decided to walk around with us. Dogs allowed if they're on a lead. Been here a few times now and will take all our visitors here.
H.We had a great couple of days at Ashley park just out of Wanganui. Very relaxing. So good to see the animals being fed. Enjoyed the lovely walk around the lake. We will certainly be recommending a stay to all our friends and families.
S.Fantastic place to take the kids and feed the animals. Good to see that they all had plenty of room to play and graze. Friendly staff and great value for money. Great way to entertain the kids outside and get some fresh air.

Lots of wildlife bird averies with penty birds, hybrid animals like black face sheep, lama, donkeys, ponies, rams, giant goats and normal goats, pigs include kunkun captain cooker and a few little wild piglets..
Lake walk which has rare blue duck, goose, eel, fresh water tuna, ducks, native kereru wild and many tropical birds in the averies.,pukeko, coctoo racing pigeons and many more
S.Kids loved it, got to pat and interact with the animals. Lady in charge was lovely and helpful. Found a nice shady table to enjoy our picnic lunch by the lake, lovely splash of nature. I'd suggest covered shoes.
A.Great place to take the kids. Lots of animals, buy some food from the tea shop to feed them. Lovely, maintained walk down & around the lake. Some areas are falling apart but generally well looked after. Will definitely be going back during summer.
E.Ashley park is getting a bit tired but it's still a delight to visit and quite cheap as well.
R.Stopped in on a sunny Thursday afternoon. Beautiful setting, lovely friendly proprietor nice plunger coffee and a delicious ham, cheese and onion toasted sandwich on wholemeal bread. All for $8.00 and I got 2 coffees out of my plunger. First time visitor. Will be back.
K.Ashley park is a lovely, cost effective outing for children. There's a beautiful, large lake, well kept sheep, cows, donkeys, chickens, goats, pigs. I was saddened by the bird cages, they were too small with mostly concrete flooring, sad for the birds. Children can feet and pet some of the animals.
D.We knew nothing of Ashley Park but needed a place to stop and walk our dogs. We saw the sign, pulled over, and ended up staying 5 hours. It was charming and fun and beautiful. Any time we pass through Waitotara again, we will no doubt stop by.
