Good place for a walk, chat and take photos. Keep an ear out for the bell of cyclists , some forget. Always something different to see .

Very nice walk along the river side. Eels, fish and birds for the kids to look at as well as all the big sculptures to climb on.

Big improvement since getting rid of all the mangroves that used to surround it by the water. Good place to see and also relax looking at the scenery and watching the boats go by.

Nice walk along with the dog..Take a umbrella as no cover. Love this place.

Always a nice area to walk, to take your dog (on a leash of course) also a fun place for for families. Plenty of wide open spaces for not only adults but children to run,cycle play games. Family orientated.plenty of seats to sit if you need to. Drink stations for us humans and dogs also bins for doggie dos etc. Very popular with locals.

Very nice place for a scenic walk round the loop following the Hatea River.

The Loop ! I walked around it on a lovely breezy day ! If it had been hot I wouldnt have made it as there are no refreshment stalls or stands anywhere on the way round except at the harbour. Whangarei you're missing a trick here ! Oh it Wont be, long, I hear you say ! Lol

Was here for Pacific Fusion. Great area for entertainment and a chance to show off the diversity of cultures in Whangarei Hopefully council leave this green space alone so it is available for these types of functions.

It's part of the whangarei shared pathway which is a great asset to city area. Plus shops cafes art galleries. Just you start.
