So………. Beautiful, mirror reflection scene is magic

A beautiful open road for as the name suggests 90-mile. I managed to get in and out with my AWD but a 4x4 is recommended. So the only issue is we kinda ended up lost following google maps cause they take you to a walkway of the 90 mile but if you are driving the route you will need to find one of the access points just follow the road signs that's more accurate. Google waipapakauri ramp thats the entry we took.

This beach stretches as far as the eye can see with beautiful ocean views and a tidy campsite only meters away. A great place to be any time of the year.

Great access onto the beach if you have a 4WD vehicle, Great access and car park also. All thats missing is a shower for those who decide to go for a swim and get smashed by the breaking waves! Amazing beach.

Wow - a must visit. Wish we had better cars so we can drive on the sand. Bring a sand board as well for those giant sand dunes

Awesome holiday spot but beach like a motarway .

Breath taking views. Soothing sound of the ocean. Warm soft sand. I recommend having a wind breaker jacket with a hoodie (or a warm jacket with hoodie), that has a draw string to tie the hood or pull it tight in case you go when it's cold or stormy and spare jandles if you want to walk on the beach (some places have shells). Amazing to drive on. Please follow the rules to stay on firm sand and stay safe. Take your rubbish with you. No dogs allowed in the beach and no shell collecting either.

We stopped by during our travels. It's quite windy and turbulent. Nice to see just to say you have been. We saw some cars get stuck while driving on the beach. Would not recommend you try that unless you are more familiar.

Loved the place. Went there for sunset. Stunning colors. I really like the fact that cars can drive on the beach, settle. Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy the beauty of Mother nature. Must go if you are near.

A must stop on the way to Cape Reinga. We visited before lunch, heaps of people fishing on the beach. Others surfing as well.

You can always catch a good feed,when you cast a line. Only travel up the beach 2 hours after high tide and 4wd is the better option to use. Good for surfing or swimming and gathering a feed of tuatua at low tide.

So lovely! Did it with a 2WD van 😁 If you reduce tire pressure you can refill @ Mobil (kaitaia). They also have a self service car wash with a high pressure hose for rinsing out saltwater from under your car.

Great for beach driving use 4*4 (recommend), if you are using front wheel drive please take advise from locals. tide is timing really important for driving in the beach

Always such a changing landscape depending on weather, tide, hour of day and season. Have been here when the waves were towering and angry and frightening and relentless and other days like today where it is calm and subdued and contemplative. Be careful if you drive onto the beach that you don't get stuck in the soft sand. Every time I have come here I have seen somebody needing to have their car towed.

Always great to get down onto ninety mile

This is one of the recommended entry point to the 90-mile beach coastal drive way. We drove a good 20km northward until the Harateke with a rented Toyota Highlander all-wheel drive at low-tide. Super scenic drive and wonderful experience. We can literally drive just beside the coast line.

We had lots of fun at Ninety Miles Beach. Rented quad bikes from Ahipara Adventures and had great fun riding on the beach. Went for dinner after at Bayview Restaurant.

Easy access on to 90 Mile Beach

Take a guided tour, we chose Harrisons, and get the full experience without having to worry about taking your own vehicle on the beach.

Amazing driving and fishing place. Nice and quiet, ideal for overnight camping.

Wow just amazing and fun picking pipis too. Clean clear and beautiful sand. Couldn't find a toilet where we were unfortunately but went close at the lake :)

If ever you can, walk this! I took 4 days, places to camp along the beach.

So nice to begin able to see a wonderful beach all around you. Be advised that most rental companies do not cover insurance for driving on the beach.

Great to ride on a bike. All 70+ km of it. Flat hard sand, and can even be done on skinny road touring (not road racing lol) tyres.

Great beach. But it's not ninety mile long. If you don't have a 4x4 SUV, please go on foot.

Fantastic sceenery We watched the sunn set glorious colours in the clouds pristine unspoilt sand dunes slight breeze 2 or 3 cars 5 people on the beach some one had made DONUTS in the sand and that added to the spectatoular scene IT A MUST DO 4 YOUR BUCKET LIST

Miles and miles of yellow sand beach.. take your car for a funny trip

Mean spot even got in there with the locals to grab some tuatuas. Living in australia these days it felt so good to dig my feet in the sand and find a feed. Chur tangaroa.

Check tide times when planning your trip. Dont drive 2-3hours around high tide on the beach. You will get stuck! A must visit
