R.Beaut spot, lots of Kauri trees there that have been moved from different spots around New Zealand because of the Kauri Die back Disease. Please respect that Whenua like you would respect a place of paradise. Please also pick up your Fallas rubbish. Jah bless
T.Great spot, the main area is closed during winter but the carpark is still available for camping. The toilet is 2 clean long drops with toilet paper, soap and water about 500m away from the carpark through a shallow river crossing so be prepared. There is a very friendly annoying rooster who likes to hang around vans and call out at 4am, he's a nice guy other than that though.
T.Very basic and simple. Nice clean toilets. Why only three stars? This place is full of not very bright people. They drive very fast and unsafe over the campground. Were clearly locals. Also the second half of the campground with the toilets, was closed. So it was a 2-3min walk from the half that was open.
t.Nice camping area. Scenic beauty. Tons of space for parking. There is a toilet further up in this area to reach that you need to cross the stream... so i believe that wont be accessible in rainy days
k.I didn't have a problem with this place, toilets stunk a bit but it was the middle of summer and I loved staying here. Quiet nights are best part.

You have a lot of space, the river is great to take a little bath in the morning and it is easy to get to the toilet, only your feet get a little wet. I found it really good for a free campsite. Especially considering that it's pretty much the only free one in the area. Only the comfort was not the best, since the campsite consisted of a large meadow. And yet I would go there again.

Wir haben hier ein paar Tage verbracht, weil es viel geregnet hat. Man hat viel Platz, der Fluss ist super toll, um Morgens ein kleines Bad zu nehmen und zur Toilette kommt man auch ganz einfach, lediglich die Füße werden ein wenig nass. Für einen kostenlosen Campingplatz fand ich ihn echt gut. Vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass es so ziemlich der einzige kostenlose in dieser Gegend ist. Nur der Comfort war nicht der Beste, da der Campingplatz aus einer großen Wiese bestand. Und doch würde ich hier wieder hin gehen.

Sitzmöglichkeiten gibt es außer der großen Wiese keine.
