Easy access to the beach. Beach is a bit sharp aka broken up shells, great amenities aka toilets very close by. Stunning and sedate place to be.

Beautiful beach. The water is pretty clear. Very clean. Didn't got chance to get into water here. But on a nice sunny day it's amazing. It's not very long beach but nice enough to spend one to two hours.

Nice place to chill. Lovely flat walkable beach. Sadly though aome of the parking area is covered in pot holes, which on the day we visited they were like large puddles

Beautiful family friendly beach; cafe, public toilets, school playground and boat ramp all there at your feet

One of the better beaches on the east coast for some wave action. One of the many gems of Doubtless Bay

What an absolutely beautiful place to swim, rest and enjoy! Its family friendly and safe. Love it.

Good relatively undeveloped white sand beach. Tons of parking with multiple access points through protected dunes. New high quality toilet block with shower. Boat launching facilities adjacent in river mouth.

Not crowded, but so relaxing and great views

Nice sandy beach, safe swimming in the beach or estuary. Launch your boat at the public boat ramp in the safety of the estuary. Loads of parking for those just want a break from driving. Lots of people walking their dogs.

Often see a whale or more..and a new bridge now. Restaurants..toilets and showers near by. Lovely Sandy Beach. Big car park..boat ramp..Sailing club..Ramada accommodation..local shops and petrol station close by. 👍🏻😍

Have been coming to this 4square for over 2 years when I'm staying and visiting in Mangonui love the variety they have specially the delicious wraps and bakery food u can grab on the go, prices are usually good and they have good sales too.

Great beach for picnics as it is family friendly with lots of activities for kids. There are necessary facilities like toilets, etc available for public use. Can get busy during the holidays season.

Great beach. It's very long and spacious for all the family and beach go-ers alike. Swimming is great and safe with gentle waves in the summer. There's a cafe nearby and toilets in the large carpark.

Stopped by here on our way back from Cape Reigna to Whangarei in February 2019. Nice long beach by the Taipa town, peaceful and quiet place for a stroll. Have all the necessary facilities for a beach day, such as parking, toilet, picnic table, café.
