B.Such an amazing experience to do if ever around the area☺️☺️☺️there was so much to see and do so worth your time!!! Me and my partner took our time and the service was great from the manager of this place 🥰🥰🥰The animals were so beautiful and taken well care of I couldn't have asked for anything more ❣️cannot wait to bring the kids here💙such a adventurous environment cannot wait to come back 💜
S.absolutely amazing birds and animals the owners kept here. didn't know there's a campground as well. highly recommended. there's a few kms of gravel roads to drive to get here.
M.If u are traveling with kids this is one place u don’t want to miss. It’s wonderful wonderful place where u easily ends up spending 3/4 hours. This huge place is managed by a couple and they are delight to talk to. They have a good collection of birds and animals. Their little train ride is definitely what kids want. We did three rides there. They have small sitting near play area where u can have ur own snacks. U get to feed the animals as well. definitely worth the money 💰
A.Camped here in the cabins over Easter break with friends, such a great stay in beautiful location with an abundance of wildlife not only birds, also Alpacas, Donkeys, Goats, Horses. Lovely friendly hosts Gaye & Fred and not too far away from Whitianga central. Great shared amenities such as the huge kitchen and wonderfully strong hot showers - will definitely revisit en masse again. Thank you VERY much!!!!

Facilities are great. Clean kitchen. Shower and bathroom.
Phone signal is very low and hard to be online.
Personally not fan of caged animal but the free friendly roaming peacocks. Ducks. Piglets are nice

K.The loveliest place for miles around! There's ducks, pigs, donkeys, horses, llamas, an emu, peacocks, and all sorts of amazing birds! The camping is very quiet and has all the facilities you need. The lady here will tell you all about the birds and you can feed the animals if you want (they sell animal food). Most of the birds are rescued too, so come here and support a good cause!
F.The owner is very friendly. They recently renovated the facilities so the kitchen is well equipped wit multiple fridges and sink and cook tops. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. Hot showers (no showers after 10pm). The animals are a tourist attraction. Some parts of the animal park needs a lot of maintenance but fortunately I think funding is tight! At least 8 non powered sites
A.Nice park with good range of birds. We couldn't try the train as it was wet when we went. Had a kids play area and bikes to ride. The ride to the park from main road is bumpy but worth visiting.
T.We booked a room in this place on Christmas eve because most hotels & motels in Whitianga were all booked out. The best decision we've ever made! This place is so serene & peaceful, just what we needed to get away from the busy city life for a while. They have a separate kitchen & bathroom which are very well-maintained. You can also use their outdoor grills for bbq and plenty of space for campers. The view is amazing with hills around the area, there's a creek/river nearby where you can take a dip. What I loved the most were the farm animals! Kids would definitely enjoy feeding & petting the donkeys, horses, ducks and ponies. Different kind of birds would be your alam clock in the morning. :) Will definitely go back to this place to relax & unwind.

Kitchen, bathroom and toilet were clean. My wife is very picky, if she says it's clean, then it's clean :)
Cabin had comfy beds and was neat and tidy. It was in a lovely place, away from the animals but not too far away. You can go for a walk and say hi to the animals when you feel like it.
Price for the cabin includes visit to the Animal encounters, so def worth it.
Only Con is the 4 km gravel road you have go drive on to get to the site, stick to 30 to 40 Kmhr and you'll be fine. Pull over for other cars behind you to pass.
N.This place has seen better days. I can see what made this place once popular in the Coromandel. However, those days have long past. The place is run down e.g. bird signs at the cages have deteriorated, paths are hard to navigate as the vegetation has overrun, the cages are filled with bird poo. When we went the mini train was closed, the mini put put looked like it's been closed for a while. The place needs a good spruce up.

P.Great seeing all the animals wish it was easier to feed some of the caged birds. Look out for Max the goat he's a very hungry boy!
G.The visit here was a lot of fun - Great variety of birds, huge aviary where lorikeets can be fed, they sat on our shoulders and heads. The owner was extremely friendly and took out a blue macaw and let it sit on our arms! Very affordable too, great experience overall.

M.Excellent experience camping here in the off-season. Came because our toddler loves birds, but my husband and I ended up having a great time, ourselves! Very nicely set-up, with heaps of different animals. Owners were lovely and very helpful. Can’t wait to come back!

C.Probably one of the best campsites I've stayed at. For the price, you get to experience basically a zoo of different creatures, in a landscaped farm that looks well maintained.
All facilities you could need are provided, hot showers are great and on tank supply. We arrived in the late afternoon and went exploring and saw so many different friendly animals, the donkeys enjoyed a pat.
Disappointed we didn't stay longer as we had to leave early morning but if we ever come back to NZ we will come here again without doubt!!

T.An incredible array of birds and delightful encounter opportunities for the kids (and adults) and a very reasonable price for the family. As a local, I found it a hidden gem. Definitely on the must see list when visiting the area and right now with covid 19 and two floods this very worthwhile Park needs local visitors too!
R.The cabin is simple, enough to a nice stay. You can enjoy the bird park which is nice to see different species of birds. The kitchen and the restrooms were clean. I really recommend. The price is reasonable and the location is not that bad.

Only thing I could say bad about the place is there was no staff on at dining area even when we rang the bell.. we were desperate for a drink of water after walking the whole place so maybe install a drinking fountain? Maybe some sprucing up. Other than that clearly an excellent family run business

S.Lots of birds to see! Has been a bit run down but is improving. Peacock put on a display as we hopped out of the car and kune kune piglets rushed to meet us! A special place. We didn't get around the whole place but we're hoping to go back
