Reviews of Styx Mill Dog Park
A.We love this dog park for our wee girl, it’s a really good size and not to overwhelming for her. There is a hose and dog bowls for the dogs to drink from as well as a couple of agility training obstacles. Most of the people we have meet there are very friendly and polite.
A.The dog park is great and it's quite nice taking your dog there and chatting with the folks who turn up. No issues there.
However the place does have a bit of a bad rep because of the car break-ins. My partner's car got broken into while we were visiting and going on one of the loop walks. I think there needs to be cameras installed in the car park (which currently, there aren't any). We also know that this isn't a one off thing as other cars have been broken into in the surrounding area.
Still a good place to go to; you just have to be extra cautious.
A.Small dog park heaven 🐶😇👌 especially Sundays from 10am. Bonus is the tree line which my 2 tamariki LOVE to play in and climb.
D.It’s a great dog park very local the only issues I have with it, as you can pick up the kennel flu and there’s always someone who doesn’t know how to handle their dog no good if your dog is a small dog.
p.Great parking and good access to the two well fenced park areas. The dog park could be well served with more seating for doggy parents and also a twin gate enclosure at the entry so extra fast puppies don't escape ..

C.Let your dogs have fun in the designated area to be off the lead. We have encountered an older lady who gets everyone to put their dogs on the lead so her dog can play with it's ball off it's lead without other dogs around her please don't listen to her I reminded her dog parks are for dogs to be off the lead if she didn't like that she needs to find another place to play with her dog she did leave after I reminded her this tho I see so many put young dogs on the lead as this old lady says they are to full of energy put them on a lead, when these dogs are saying hello to her dog or they go for her dogs ball.
M.Big enough place for dogs to have some fun and big enough for a good walk around too.

D.Dog friendly park full of lovely smells and sights (so my dogs tell me). Rabbits at dusk time add an exciting finish to a walk. Grass a bit long and watch for rabbit holes though!
K.Love this dog park! Especially the small dog meet up on Sunday mornings from 10 - 11am. We can take our yorkipoo and let him off leash knowing that there aren't going to be heaps of other big dogs freaking him out. Plus he gets to play with dogs more his size!

K.Cautionary tale.... a car was broken into in the carpark while away for a walk... smashed window.... take valuables out as there are dirtbag opportunistic people hanging around. The car parks are surrounded by bushes which is lovely but provides screening from the road so they are able to operate unhindered. 😠😠😠
z.It's a dog park, full of hairy dogs! Not a bad size, but certainly one of the smaller ones around, is often popular though. Has an wee area dogs can swim in, pretty crappy little pond though really. Other wise a nice wee park
J.Sunday mornings 10am-11am. The best place to take your small dogs. Let them off the lead I a fully enclosed area and watch them have the time of their life.
A.The dog park was so fun for alots dogs is running round and throwing their balls.
I have refilled few bowls of cold water for their dogs.
So i was so happy and excited about dogs that i watched from my friend's dog.
n.An awesome dog park. Especially good for small dog owners as there is a small dog meetup from 10 till 11am every Sunday. Dogs needs to weigh 10kgs or less.
P.Seems like a nice place. Didn't stay long as our male Jack Russell was set upon by a female Bull Terrier not long after arriving and initial amicable introductions.

A.It's a lovely dog park sunny and big enough to throw a ball and run about. Just watch where you walk... not all owners pick up after their pups and after rain it can get a little boggy in places!

A.Just a square paddock. Pond Is not swimable for dogs. But an easy place where dogs can get off the lead
