L.Lots of great forrest trails. Run, Bike or walk. The new addition of the wooden sculptures through the Forrest walk r really neat. Spend the day being active before chilling out in town.
B.Plenty of small and long walks around it. You can as well start the track to mount Isobel from there. Also a bit further there is a big car park for self contained vehicle where you can spend the night. Toilets next to it. Not the best but it's quiet and only 20min walk to city center through the wood.
T.Beautiful trails and very well maintained facilities, freedom camping spot just behind the fenced in DOC compound, though it isn’t clearly marked currently.
K.Not entirely pram friendly but a beautiful place to be
