This is by far the best campground out there. The toilets are clean as, they even play fantastic music in the showers. Park is stunning. Birds singing, 🐦 flowers bushes everywhere. Beautiful tables it eat. Kind, friendly staff, beach very close. 10 out of 10. Must go there.

Best campground in NZ!! (and I've been to many...) Facilities are excellent, pitches are roomy with lots of lush shade. Showers are strong, hot, clean and FREE!! No putting in your $2 for a 3 minute dribble. Even a new shiny hairdryer! Kitchen and BBQ are faultless. Lots of shady swing seats to relax in and read. The owners should teach Top10 how to run a campground!!

Surprise star of our camping holiday. Amazingly lush camp ground. Well stocked shop and awesome tables and public area. Bathrooms and bbq areas are great. Short walk to start to 90mile beach. The sand is so fine and soft. We will be back to Ahipara and the Holiday Park here!!

Metamorphosis loved this holiday park! We were visiting last 2 nights in peak season. So we simply pitched our tent where we could. The atmosphere was great. We loved the communal kitchen, where we cooked two healthy meals. It had most of the essentials including pots and pans. Not a lot of cutlery or plates, but enough! Everything was lovely and clean, including the bathroom amenities. Nearby is a beach, which we used for our morning workouts.

Incredibly thought-out camping experience. Sandy & team are a masterclass in providing the ultimate camping experience. The foresight to plant tress that provide a natural site boundary, shade, & privacy. Clean and comfortable communal facilities and fun additions such as table tennis, outdoor bbq, swing sofas, and more. Such warm reception from Sandy when we turned up. We'll be back for sure.

We stayed in a standard cabin, which had everything we needed. A self contained unit with a small deck out front was perfect for 2 of us. Friendly staff and clean, tidy grounds. Really enjoyed ourselves

Affordable cabins comfortable bed. All you need supplied for basic overnight comfort. Staff friendly. Nice ambience. Walk across the road a bit to 90 mile beach.

Love this place. It's clean, the sites are private as far as camp grounds go. You can choose from a range of different types of camping from powered and non powered sites in the paddock or in the trees. There's cabins of all types. A kicthen, games space and tv hang out, all a short work from 90mile beach. A total must do stay if your in the area.

Thank you Sandy. Had a great time with our friends. We were able to park alongside each other on large motorhome sites. Awnings out enabled us all to avoid the very annoying rain. The first day we surf casted and caught and smoked 2 good fish. It was too windy for the drone. Facilities were excellent, but only one moan.... for a Park that size, why only one Ablution Block!! We would have had a bit of distance and a wet walk to the Kitchen and Toilets etc., if we needed them. But overall an awesome break. It was the rain that finalized the decision to drive the long road home. We will return....

Loved every part of it surrounded by happy faces lots of laughter, also relaxing peice n quiet would very highly recommend this beautiful place. And big bonus lovely beach with a lot of activities to do for you and the family.

Super cool campground. Really well designed, lots of cool places to make camp. Clean and tidy, great wee shop if you need anything essential. Lovely lady running it, and specially loved the music in the bathrooms. That's awesome. Had a great stay, sad to leave.

2nd visit to this lovely holiday park. The setting is wonderful, very tropical and great facilities. Very close to beach.

The best place in the North. Clean, well kept, great facilities, no extra charges. Good communal areas and buildings - bbq's, computer, sports equipment. Park like grounds. Close to beach and golf course

Very friendly staff. Clean and tidy facilities. We spent three nights here, all good. Just 10minutes walk to the ninety mile beach. The most clean BBQ area I’ve seen in New Zealand’s holiday park. Enjoy our stay here!

We only stayed one night but the facilities were AWESOME🤗. The grounds were amazingly tidy and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The showers were the best I’ve been in, the water pressure was great and they were very roomy, my clothes didn’t get wet while I was showering....BONUS!! Staff were friendly and they had a well stocked shop.

I just spent two weeks there in my caravan on a surfing trip and it was heaven. It is middle of winter and the off season so I had my pick of lovely spaces. Each space had lush hedges growing all around. Affording lots of privacy. And they have everything: Big kitchen multiple outdoor Bar B Q stoves. I didn't even need pots, pans and utensils. They had it all. I especially liked the large common room: It had a large stone fireplace with lots of wood, comfy couches, lots of gorgeous wood tables, a computer with Internet connection and even a ping pong table. I met alot of nice people including some from Taranaki where I live. I plan to contact him when I get back home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I definitely plan to go up there again next year.

Great place for camping, caravans etc; lovely grounds with large sites; quiet too. Nice extras like porch swings, covered picnic tables and large group areas. Enjoyed our stay here.

I've been traveling around New Zealand for nearly a year now and this is by far the best holiday park I've stayed at. Location is just close enough to the beach, yet still out of the wind. Facilities are comfortable and welcoming. It's not covered in annoying signs like you find at many holiday parks. Showers are free, unlimited nice and hot and most importantly for me, tall! The staff here is of course a huge part of what makes the experience great. Friendly staff and an owner that truly cares about his customers having a great experience. I've found myself making excuses to make the drive back up several times since my initial stay. If you're already in the area, or thinking of making the Trek up, this is THE place to stay.

- Different bays for campers you choose big farm area by the volleyball if you like full sun. There's an outside bench to wash your dishes. - Or by the little bay trees by the toilets, some of these small some big...we were here would prefer not here. - Or park by the kids park under the forest trees, really nice here. - Big park and swings for the kids - Showers and toilets at times had long lines - Toilets and showers were not cleaned for our 2 day duration here always dirty. They have music in there. - Great kitchen with fridges to use and food storage. - Close to beach 8 min walk approx. - Nice easy drive to get water and dump station for campers to drive through and around instead of backing up. - I loved all the swing chairs outside, the bbq common areas and inside a table tennis, computer and lounge area. Otherwise and great stay here.

Stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! The place is so well organised, sparkling clean and has amazing amenities. Friendly staff too. So much love to detail it felt good to see people care beyond. Much appreciate the hard work to keep a campground in this stunning condition. Dan&Jana

Nice place except for very expensive price $52 per night were quoted $42 on website and by phone

Stayed 2 nights at this campground and it was far better than what I could possibly expect. Arrived super late to a locked gate and called the manager who promptly let us in, showed us where to stay and thanked for coming. The next day we could see that the place was awesome! Trees everywhere lots of slots to choose from, some quite private. The main common area has a massive living room with TV, couches, pingpong table, long tables and even. fireplace. The team was awesome! It literally felt like a retreat though we only went for a cheap campground. Will definitely go back!

We checked in at 8:45pm without a booking - not a problem. Found a private powered site for our camper under towering pine trees, surrounded by pine hedges which sent off a beautiful scent. Clean well laid out shower and toilet facilities. Lovely big common area with plenty of huge picnic tables made of slabs of varnished pine with big benches, all under cover. Lush tropical gardens. A dump station for campervans. For first time campers like us it was heaven!!!

This holiday park would have to be the most amazing camping ground I have stayed in!! Stayed in a non powered site, with 2small dogs, the most quiet camping ground I have ever been at! Free hot showers, free wifi which made teenagers happy! Clean facilities!! Will be back:))

Cool little campground with lots of great facilities but was the most expensive place we’ve stayed on our round NZ trip ($74 for 1 night powered w 2A, 2C 5 & 3 😱) and was a dog roaming the campsite that our youngest was scared of that even followed us into the toilets!! Broken equip on playground too.. Good, but could be better!

Wow insanely modern and clean facilities! Beautiful surrounds. Definitely worth the $, stay as long as you can! I've spent the last few weeks travelling up the west coast of the north island and this stop has been by far the nicest!

Amazing place. The grounds are covered in stunning tropical plants. The communal area is so cool. The toilet and showers immaculate. I have been camping in nz for 19 years and I would say this is the best I have been too. Made a great end to my walk from Cape reinga. I'm bringing my family back ASAP. Good on you owners. Great job

We have travelled in the North Island for the last three months, stayed in 28 camps. Ahipara Holiday Park is the best value so far. There are lovely tropical trees growing throughout the grounds and the facilities are excellent, clean and tidy. The showers are the best with unlimited hot water. They have some lovely covered outdoor areas with free to use bbqs. We'll worth a few days stay in this peaceful spot.

Me, my dog and my friend stayed there for a long weekend and it was awesome! Clean facilities with everything working, close to the beach, pet friendly, and undescribable vibe of a tropical holiday surfing spot. Will come back :) !

Great place for a base to the far North and 90 mile beach. It was very wet when we stayed and many sites were flooded. Facilities were good and clean. Dogs are welcome but no walks for them nearby.

It really is like a park, with beautifully kept grounds/gardens, birds (and cats by day), ruru and frogs at night, along with sound of the waves. Strategic plantings for privacy. Lovely common areas and clean facilities (music in the bathroom was a nice touch).

Nice gated holiday Park with good facilities for kids, lots of games including table tennis. Next to the starting point of 90 mile Beach so you can drive the entire beach highway to the Cape.

The first time I have given a place 5 stars. Atmosphere is amazing 👍. Toilet and shower fascilities are nice and clean. Hot water/showers is free. Music in the shower/toilet room is awesome. I found my self dancing a little while showering. That's how to start the day!

Fantastic stay! We had the choice of either staying at a DOC site with longdrop toilets and 1000's of mosquitoes for 15$pp or coming here for 20$pp with wifi, clean toilets, unlimited hot showers, kitchen with oven, table tennis, shop etc Why would you not! 100%recommend and would love to stay here again if we travel up north once more.

Really tranquil! Absolutely loved it. The facilities are excellent and we could've easily stayed there happily for a number of more nights. Best camp ground we've come across in Northland so far.

Our favorite accommodation on our tour of Northland! Stayed for three nights at an unpowered site and absolutely loved the park. It’s a great spot to access 90mile beach and base for day trips up the cape. Many accommodation options (cabins, bunks, un/powered sites) but has a great hostel vibe. If you want to meet people, you can here. Reception area is in large open lounge area with dining tables, computers and TV (with sky). Reception has a few food staples for sale but there is a small dairy, takeaway and one cafe in town, a ~30 minute walk. Kitchen was stocked with crockery and had everything we needed. Space can get tight around meal times but people were friendly and shuffled around to accommodate everyone. Really nice BBQ area too! The park was well landscaped and felt like paradise. Wifi didn’t reach our unpowered site but the couches are so comfy we didn’t mind hanging out in the lounge or courtyard to access. Highly recommend Ahipara Holiday Park!

6 of us got a cabin which was well furnished and roomy. The common kitchen is roomy and equipped, hangout area adequately spaced and the common toilets clean. Wifii in the room was nothing to write home about and that's the only negative I could think of. Drove to Cape Reinga from here and there is an access to 90 mile beach at a 5 min walk.

Very modern and clean campsite. The sanitary facilities are super clean and the communal kitchen is well equipped. In the evening you can sit on the cozy sofas by the fireplace and watch TV. WiFi (500MB 24 hours) is available. We can really recommend the campsite and would definitely come back if we could. :)

We agree with all the other five star comments. A lovely place to stay in our caravan for 8 weeks. 4 weeks last year. Friendly buzzy camp. Lots of happy surfers. Great hot showers. Best communal kitchen. Played golf most days at the top rated links course Kaitaia Golf Club situated between our campsite and the beautiful 90 mile beach and sunset heaven Tasman Ocean. We’ll be back it’s better than Queensland! Two young 65 year olds.

This Holiday Park has absolutely everything and every site has shade, as the whole complex is healthily equipped with trees. Amenities were the best we have ever experienced, in New Zealand.

This isn’t your average holiday park. The grounds are well maintained. Bathrooms are very clean. Kitchen is well equipped. It’s also walking distance to the 90 mile beach. There is a security gate and camera at the entrance but as always, watch your belongings as things do go missing still.

A wonderful laid back place to stay with large open spaces to walk our dogs and great facilities. Everyone staying here seemed so chilled out it was awesome!

Here for 2 nights. Pros: Nice place to set camp, pleasant outlook and a base to the region. Free internet. Close to beach. Nice staff, well equiped and clean facilities, great showers. Cons.: No real views, no swiming pool, large facility - lots of people about especially on weekends. Golf club next door very noisy on weekends.

One of the best Campgrounds in New Zealand. Would definitely stay here again! + Good showers and toilets, clean and enough space for everyone + Free WiFi, which worked well + Cozy place in front of the fireplace + Spacious powered sites, sometimes with picnic table and many flowers/bushes - Kitchen maybe a bit small, can get a little cramped in the evening

Ahipara is magnificent, bring an old surf board stay at the best holiday park in Northland. It's absolutely unique and a garden paradise. Worth the drive.

My mate and I fell in love with this place as soon as this beautiful palm tree alley guided us into the campground. We ended up there during the holidays, not expecting much, after finding out a lot of other campgrounds were fully booked. To our delight, this place was so cute and well maintained. Short pleasant walk to the the 90 miles beach, with great kitchen facilities and a roomy environment, we were more than pleased. The lots although not all booked, were spacious and cozy compared to the other camprounds we visited. Hot water showers for free, free Wi-Fi and full on laundry equipment took it to another level. The staff was lovely, helpful and professional with a charming kiwi sense of humor, we would stay longer if we could.

Excellent park, nice tropical gardens you could be in North Queensland if you didn't know better, very clean facilities.

Stayed 4 nights on the way to Cape Reinga. Lovely setting and good facilities for catering motorhomes, tents and cabins. Not far from Kaitaia for your essentials. Beautiful beach near by ❤️

This park has the usual range of accommodation options form the chalets to tent spaces and powered sites. It has a welcoming check in area with a small but well stocked shop, and some activities to entertain. The pitches are all a reasonable size, sheltered among jacaranda and wattle trees. The facilities are good and clean, there is a kitchen area, BBQ etc and the showers and toilets were all well serviced and clean. Have stayed here 3 times now, and it is great for access to 90 Mile Beach and other attractions in the area.

My partner and I ADORED this place!!! The owners are so friendly and helpful, the facilities are fabulous and it’s got the most amazing vibe here. Definitely a place to bring kids and is also dog friendly! We have enjoyed our stay so much it’s going to be hard to leave. Would rate more than 5 stars if I could

Wow. What lovely campground. Clean and well equipped. This is a must to stay. Close to the beach for a walk.

This seemed like a great family holiday park. Very quiet and respectful. The facilities were great. The toilets and showers are immaculate. The kitchen is good. The cutilary is all plastic but there is a nice outdoor cooking g area.

Nice quite place to escape from city’s noise. However, the tent site we located with no grasses but hard dusty ground. Another short is not choices for food supplies but only a very small store with fish n chips. Kitchen, BBQ and bathroom are all good.

Table tennis every evening. This time we stayed in a self-contained cabin. Nice space for two. Great having the bedroom, but $105 is not really so great. The toilet/bathroom always smelled musty and the special tiny toilet system did not seem to cope well with normal use. Mosquitos were plentiful and simple screens outside the sliding windows would make a huge difference in order to get restful sleep. Decent size fridge with freezer much appreciated. As the Holiday park also has a backpacker/YHA component, the kitchen is well equipped. So we sometimes used the main kitchen, as the self contained only include a plug in induction cook plate. Having a laundry and dryer with the main facilities is great. The whole complex is nicely spread out in a park like arrangement and did, despite being quite full, not feel crowded.

For quality and price it probably deserves a 7 out of 5 stars. The reception has lovely relaxed people. It is a very short walk from the 90 mile beach.... one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We stayed again from 27th Dec 2019 - 8th Jan 2020.... We stayed in another 2 bedroom motel unit. I needed it. Being near the sea was known by past generations as a way to heal and recoup... And it did that for me. New photos added. This motel unit is slightly off site. It is just In front of the holiday camp.

Returning Guests. We Love the accommodation so much we’ve come back again. Host are very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for making our Family time away from Auckland, relaxing.

Absolutely the best holiday park we've been to. Massive area, beautiful grassed sites, picnic tables everywhere, wonderful common area with table tennis and a fit pit. Showers were glorious, outdoor BBQ sensational. A park that truly puts in effort, well worth the $18 it cost us to stay unpowered. Can't wait to go back, thanks for having us and being awesome!

Absolutely stunning holiday park. We stayed at tent site and had access to showers, full kitchen and cooking facilities, toilets you name it. Wifi is great and you get 24hr access per your stay. If you need more just ask. Beach is literally across the Rd and KAITAIA is about 15 min drive. Staff are helpful and accommodating and everything is nice and clean. Highly recommend. Nice gardens and settings within park also.

We had a great stay at the holiday park. The campsite is lovely with clean toilets and kitchen. They also have a lovely reception area with sky and comfy sofas to chill in when it rained!

Top level amenities, the sites are grassy and well shaded. Close proximity to beach access. Would easily stay here again.

Clean friendly place. There was loud family was partying night that we stayed but once managements been informed dealt with it quickly. I would recommend this place to stay

A little bit expensive but worth the money. Thank you for staying up late to check us in! Very clean facilities, I loved how you made the bathroom (even with stereo 24hours per day). The campsites are clean and ours didn't have ants or something like that.

A peaceful retreat with privacy and great amenities. A easy stroll to 90 mile beach. Our dog loved the beach.

Friendly staff, clean amenities, large camping spots, very quiet except for the morning when all the birds wake up. Showers are free and hot, kitchen is clean and large. Wifi is limited (250 mb) but you can ask for more and it is free. Also you can only get it close to the office/kitchen.

Place is tidy and well maintained. Nice staff and plenty of options for camping, caravan sites with power and water plus tent sites. Not far from the beach and has a small shop onsite if you have forgotten any supplies

One of the best campsite- experiences i've made! Hot & clean showers. Amenities are really tidy and receptionists are very friendly. The kitchen is big enough and has all the gear for cooking. To beach it's maybe 5 mins. I really recommend this campsite. It's worth the price!

Arrived very late. Reception was warm welcoming, informative and extremely helpful. Kudos to the young blonde lady serving us there. What an asset to the park! I adored the wee cabin. The bed was perfect (esp after a 6hr drive lol)privately nestled. Cute balcony table and chairs. Fridge was noisy tho. Clean linen and towels/guest soap.Excellent showers/toilets. Very clean. Other campers, quiet and considerate. Well kept gardens. A pleasure to stay.Good vibes there. Communal lounge.happily recommend!!

Really good surf vibe to this place. lounging sofas around a woodburning fireplace in the main block, the very clean and new shower /toilet block are the best we've come across yet. Very hot showers n a little bit of music on to start your day. Su4fers paradise

Good holiday park style camp site. Busy but we'll managed and with excellent facilities. You could easily base yourself here for a week's holiday. Plenty to do in the area and you can walk to 90 mile.

Great campsite! 5’ walk from 90nm Beach. We stayed in a basic cabin which was great! The shared areas are great and super clean too! We will definitely come back!

Sandy and Yvette were very friendly and welcoming. Facilities were awesome, modern and always clean. Highly recommend You stay there.

Great caravan park with modern facilities including free wifi. Prefect location to be picked up for Cape Rienga tours and a 10 minute walk to beautiful Ahipara beach

What an amazing experience the owner was pleasant the workers were inviting the grounds very well maintained right down to the camping area for tents the bathroom area was very cleaned (could have a party in there :)) the kitchen and bbq area was very well equip i have come home and told my husband so dont be surprise you see this Maori girl again i would recommend this place to all my family and friends keep up the work awesome
