Nice wide boat ramp. Plenty of parking for cars and trailers. The only downside of the ramp is it is a long way to go to get out to the open water - however there is great scenery along the way! Good little swimming spot here also, next to the ramp, and in the rock pools Nice clean toilets

The silent electric boats available to hire from here are a wonderful, relaxing way to explore the river. Book them at electricboat.co.nz there's a choice of different boats and they are really easy for a total beginner to drive.

Took the dingy out at the landing, cruised arround to the stone store. Very close to town. Small park and swimming spot. Toilet block onsite and very good boat ramp

Great place to launch as you all know, toilets are reasonably clean too which lady fisho"s appriciate .

Good wide ramp with jetty attached. BUT, if your destination is the outer bay, then it's a very long way out, and with not much water at low tide (low tide is best avoided for launching and/or landing). Also a lot of the passage is subject to a 5 knot limit. Limited vehicle/trailer parking, which fills up very quickly at peak times.

If you have a big trailer boat, this ramp is the best around to launch - keep in mind the channel gets quite shallow so would want at least a mid tide if you have a deep hull though.

Has a public toilet, fresh swimming hole and if you like bowls is across the road. Yes there is a boat ramp to launch vessels

. (03/2017) A normal boat ramp also used for swimming by enthusiasts. Clear water. Better to prepare for swim during low tide. Well maintained. Nice views.
