D.This Freedom Camp is a small driveway and strip of grass beside the road just out of Mangonui, with toilets as per a piccie, and the sea directly across the road. The inevitable road noise at night, and I don't think I would want to be here during school holidays. Reasonably quiet here though so far this mid-term Saturday evening.
J.We called in with the camper to use the dump station and fill up with fresh water and even in our 9 metre motorhome it was easy to get in and easy to get out with space if needed to get past someone else coming the other way. Unlike other dump stations up north this one had a real tap not one that you had to push down and hold making filling easy. Toilets also located on site and these where being serviced at the time so obviously taken care of.
C.Great convenient spot to pull over and spend the night, toilet and dump facilities available. Cars going by aren't too loud however at 4AM theres roosters and chickens running sround wild screaming at the top of their lungs and didn't stop at 7:30AM when we left. Beware of evil chickens
