Big stony beach, marvellous view across to Rabbit Island, Nelson, Whakapuaka, Cable Bay and beyond. Dramatic sunsets and sunrises. Special place, worth a stop at the parking area by the pine trees

We love Ruby Bay for kids! When the tide is out, the rock pools provide endless enjoyment, and it's so shallow for so far out it's a very safe spot for young ones to wander and play in the water. Quite a rocky shore, so footwear to get to/from is a good idea.
