R. H.This carpark is a great facility when doing the Abel Tasman walk starting from the Eastern end, even if just doing a small part of it. The restaurant next door is always a fantastic venue for food, coffee and music with great ambiance, and the menu and food is first class. There is also a very good information shelter available. This has great maps and highlights all the walks, beaches etc.
S. B.Free parking, we parked for 2 days for free. Heaps of spaces available. Walk from there to the start of the track at Marahau. We got the boat back to Marahau and it's a 10 min walk from the boat drop off, but the abel tasman taxi company actually kindly dropped us off back at our car
J. T.This place has car parks and toilets. In summer season a cafe is open next door. There are tables for picnics and is next door to the park entrance. There is a notice about locking your car and I did not park overnight.
Visitors shelter has been removed and replaced with pou.
C. K.Whenever I'm here, I know I'm on for a treat as I will be hiking into the Abel Tasman Walkway where it is God given beautiful. Or I will be at peace after returning from paradise.

You need to be relatively fit but there are water taxi options if that's an issue.
Facilities in the huts are fantastic but be prepared for it to be busy.

Abel Tasman Coast Track läuft man locker an einem Tag, wenn man sich mit dem Water Taxi bis zur Bark Bay fahren lässt. Der Track an sich ist super und lädt immer wieder zu kleinen Pausen mit Abkühlung im Meer ein.

Hier moet je eigenlijk een paar dagen voor reserveren om een flinke wandeling te maken. Vooraf plannen is aan te bevelen. Maar ook een dag is zeker de moeite waard voor een wandeling tussen krekels met af en toe rare vogels die je pad kruisen. Fraaie vergezichten en hier en daar een strandje.
