W.Had fun with the coffee machine. Warm, clean, cozy spacious cottage, comfy couches .. shower pressure the bomb, homely azz
R.Good location and price. Very friendly helpful staff and good facilities. However the walls are very thin so you can hear the neighbours talking and snoring. Shower a problem as floods even when you point the shower head to the wall as suggested. The bed and pillows weren't the greatest either. Such a shame, because it is a quirky little place with a lovely receptionist and a homely feel.
T.Nice room, but walls a bit thin. Could hear the people next door. Shower did not work well. The fridge was in the wardrobe! Lovely helpful person at reception though.
Q.We had a lovely stay, staff is friendly and most of all our pets are welcome, good rest at night for busy days. beds sleep nice and comfy and hot showers are also lovely. Shared kitchen always clean and tidy.
S.We booked 13 rooms for a family reunion. Hygiene and cleanliness was excellent. The flow from kitchen to BBQ area as great. The shared kitchen was well stocked and easy to work in. Staff were really friendly. Had a very enjoyable weekend and would recommend this Lodge. The standard was excellent.
S.As a motel can't be faulted. Nice touches. Community kitchen is useful and has all appliances. Hot and cold water taps are different making it difficult to mix and have normal temp water. The basin could have been bigger. Overall nice rooms for couples.
d.Parkside lodge in Napier. This would be my fourth visit here to stay. Nice clean rooms and very comfortable bed. TV is very small. Cover on bed has stains on it looks like food stains . Come on cleaners do your job change and check often. Other then that it's a lovely place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful
S.Nice place. It has a good community kitchen with most of the appliances. You can bring your own grocery and cook food. The staff is quite nice and friendly. Decent parking available on site. It is not very far from the city area. Also it is very close to State Highway. So getting out of the city is easy from here.
R.Stayed in Parkside Cottage. Self contained two bedroom house. Very comfortable and clean. Great location near Anderson Park.
G.Tips: 1) We've had nice soft beds and too hard beds here. This trip I discovered staff will put a soft topper on top of the bed if requested.
2) Some rooms are right next to neighbour rooms and others are quieter - see the fire exit map I uploaded for preferred room numbers.
3) Feeding ducks at the park this lodge is beside is neat. Lots of enthusiastic ducks and swans.
4) They put free fresh baking out in a public area, but I'm not usually around to try it :(
Also note: Ensuites don't have locks.
V.When I'm in Napier, I always stay here. Cozy, clean, warm accommodation with a unique atmosphere. There are free wifi and parking, a fridge and a TV in a room and thd last but not the least thry provide a fair rates. I like this lodge and will come back again.
A.Great prices, a nice room and lots of character. We were amazed with the "Breakfast Pack", where we fed both of us for $12, with what would have cost upwards of $20 each at a cafe.
B.Very quiet little place to stay. Good wifi. Could hear and see birds chirping during the day. Home made bread available to get for breakfast
