Reviews of Kitekite Falls Walk Carpark
Awesome waterfall, very crowded on the weekends. A lot of space for parking
The carpark for the falls. It is fairly big and there is another set of parking down the road in a big field. There are toilets here as well as the scrubbing station to get into the trails and waterfalls.
This is a wonderful hike! I was lucky enough to hike this three times while I lived in New Zealand for a year. The drive there from Auckland takes around 45 mins and the parking is not easy on a summer day so please take this into account.
The hike to the falls from the trail head isn't far but at the moment I cannot remember how far. No more than a couple miles. There is also a station that requires you to spray your shoes before the hike and this is very common in New Zealand.
The Kite Kite falls are gorgeous but the water is cold even in the summer so take this into mind. I loved every min of this hike and look forward to doing it again when I visit New Zealand.
Not been for years. Last time was a superb peaceful waterfall and pond. Popular short walk from the road. Also start of an excellent track that passes through an ancient rare tarairi remnant forest. Highly recommended.
Beautiful and comfortable hike up to the falls
Walk was great, wasn't too tiring and the waterfall was worth it!
Nice entry level hike route. Even in hot summer mid day, you will feel cool to walk here. Once you reach the waterfall, would suggest to take extra hike to go up on top of the waterfall. Enjoy the water, view and small pool up there. Fresh water to enjoy in hot summer day.

Amazingly beautiful walk to an awesome waterfall.
Wonderful experience.
Best thing is the choice of walkways to reach thewaterfall in 45 minutes or 3-4 hours while enjoying the adventure!
You can climb to the top of the fall. Really nice.
Plenty of parking even on public holiday. We had a great time with friends. Went on a public holiday, so cool to see other aucklanders join..it was buzzing
The track has reopened to the public on the 26th of Dec 2018, with new walkway covering to help combat the Kauri Die Back outbreak. Just keep to the walkways and the track will remain open.
An easy walk, very pretty but can get pretty crowded in the summer months. Always good to have a dip and take some great photos.

Such a manageable walk to see an incredible force of nature, safe car park too!
Great walk to the waterfall, it remains one of my favourite places to visit in New Zealand
Beautiful views and a moderate hike. Takes about an hour at a reasonable pace.
A very nice walk, about 45 min's. Some of it can be a bit steep...
Love the nature here. Take insect repellant. Beware of public toilets and expensive shops
Such a great walk. Easy for children
Great walk, kid friendly for the most part.
Not enough parking for the amount of people that go there.
