T.The camp grounds are good, the reception dude is a good guy, showers were good, only complaint is the mattress on the bunk beds were very thin, other than that it was allgoods
J.My friends and I needed somewhere quick and cheap to stay the night... We didn't end up really meeting the staff by time we'd got there but we really appreciated how easily they sorted out a quick cabin for us and we really enjoyed meeting some of the people staying there when we used their kitchen for breakfast in the morning. Absolutely awesome! 👍
V.We flew down from Auckland, as a whole group of up to 55-60 people including babies, children, teens til early 30's, mothers, fathers. We were fortunate enough to have found this place that could accommodate the lot of us. Beautiful view, fresh breeze up on the hill side with a stream running through the back of its kitchen facility. Also a trail for people to hike if your feeling adventurous. In the dorms where we stayed, there are 2 beds per room, not too small and no too big just right. But if you are a couple and have kids, ideally it's not for you unless you don't mind being old school and chucking a mattress on the floor while the kids sleep on the beds. Facilities very clean and well maintained. Would recommend to people the are looking for places to accommodate large numbers for gathers. Also a build in BBQ set out back where the smoking area is located behind the kitchen. Some of our family is still there. 👍
T.If you are on a tight budget dont mind basic accomadation this is the place for you. It has beds, shared kitchen and nice hot showers do not expect more for what you pay. Lovely host and close to Porirua township
K.We stayed in a room in the lodge (used for schools) and after camping for a week it was really great to be in doors! Warned that it was very basic so had expectations very low. It was pretty creepy but a funny experience and super cheap, so worth it! (I did feel like I was in The Shining at night). Really nice guy who runs it.
Separate single beds, kind of comfortable, great showers, nice little chill out room.
R.I have a mate who has his bus parked here. Great out of the way spot, with access to some great walking tracks in the surrounding hills. We worth it for the views.

R.Loved it bit run down but clean loos clean and best showers we been. Many be spend a little money on site plugs and staff training in admin area with bookings.we where over booked but it can cause a bit of strife between sites. But rebound staying lovely and quite
L.If your looking for a roof over your head and and a place to rest than this will suffice. Good WIFI connection, its no Langholm hotel and thats good its not supposed to be. For what it is I give it 4 stars.

Ground is quite hard, a hammer definitely helps with the pegs.
Very crowded, people are up all night. Some talk but most seem to take a ferry the next day for which they need to get up really early which doesn't make your stay a quieter one.
r.The people here were lovely and the managers were great especially Jed who made our stay a great one. Would recommend staying at this camp to anyone!
T.Awesome accommodation for groups of all sizes - we had a party of 44. The lodge and kitchen was more than sufficient to cater for our school group. Great location with a beautiful view. We totally recommend staying here!!
O.Its my third time here now. Iam always stopping by when going through Welli. Its a great place at a very good price. 10 bucks per night (unlimeted showers and two kitchens). Wifi is 2$ for 1GB and was pretty reliable and fast when I was there. Washing machines are great and a cycle is 3$. Nice owners and alright atmosphere.
M.Nice owner, quite cheap for what you get there compared to other sites, clean toilets, free high pressure hot showers, uber to wellington is about 50 bucks but there's also a train station (you'll need the car to get there), great kitchen
A.One of the best things that happened to me traveling with a non self contained campervan. Wellington has no place for this campers. This place has a lot of speace, shower included, kitchen included and the price it's great. ($10 for nom powered spot). Wish there were more places like this in all NZ.

Defintly one of the cheaper camsites arround still tidy and clean amenitys can get really busy tough and verry small camp spots but would still recomend 😉
I.Just 20 min from Wellington for 10$pp. Free 1 gb internet, hot showers and good kitchen plus cheap laundry. No wonder it's a bit crowded but still really good.
M.Great for one night stay at camp ground, basic not many toilets it showers for the number people staying there real basic ,$10 unpowered, or $20 I powered site per person, you can smell the chocolate factory Whitaker's from there.
A.Loveky environment we were at the bottom end. Basic open kitchen no kettle or toaster or sockets to charge phones $2 for 6 minute shower!

C.It was good enough, bit cramped, no power points in the toilet / shower block and no shelves in shower either. But it was only $10 for non powered site! Win some lose some 😀

Der Campingplatz ist klein, hat aber meistens noch freie Plätze.
Auch die Lage, um Wellington zu erkunden ist gut, wenn man ein Auto hat.
Tipp: Das W-lan kostet, aber aus irgendeinem Grund kann man Instagram benutzen, ohne zu bezahlen!

Für eine Übernachtung ganz ok. Bei 10 $ kann man auch eigendlich nicht meckern. Leider war die Dusche etwas eklig, alles voller Schimmel und Algen und es riecht modrig.
