Loved it, beautiful clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Kid friendly. Lots for the family to do there. Loved our 3 day stay. Definitely reccomend and will love to come back sometime soon :)

Very friendly small campground. Had all the amenities needed which all functioned well and we kept clean and tidy. Close to town and attractions. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

we really couldn’t fault the stay if we tried! The front desk lady was freakin amazing, she remembered me from my last booking I regretfully couldn’t make (felt very welcoming and personalized), was so friendly, informative and welcoming when we got there and gave us all the info we needed and more! Will 100% be coming back! We found a slice of heaven in Rotorua, pools and spa included!! Facilities were always cleaned, stocked and the layout is very user friendly, pure bliss! Great price and really nicely sized lot, didn't feel claustrophobic even in the new years period! Light hearted and fun atmosphere, can't wait to return

We were stay on powersite to camping for 2 night. The staff were so friendly and Facilities were clean. Very convenient to anywhere you go in Rotorua. I highly recommend this peaceful place and I'll definitely come back.

We Loved it, our kids enjoyed their stay especially. The cold pool and the spa pools were just devine. We booked with the shared facilities, the bathroom, showers and toilets were kept really clean, and the shared kitchen was great. Had a brilliant bbq area, aswell as x2 big bbqs you can use. Everyone was friendly. We arrived late but rung in and they put our key in a key box wich was awsome. Deffinately comming back and bringing friends n family next time.

Very generous sized powered site. Managed to fit our caravan and boat on the one site. Great price and location. We'll be back.

Very good budget friendly holiday park with all amenities one could ask for. Also not far from the city centre and Holdens bay beach (Lake Rotorua) is a few hundred metres away. It was awesome to watch sunsets from the bay.

The cabin we stayed was clean,well stocked with kitchen equipment, and tidy, but the bed was hard. There was a dog locked in a caravan that barked incessantly and disturbed the peace.

Fantastic accommodation for families pool, park and a little nature walk area. Value for money, clean and tidy, great staff.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Holdens Bay Holiday Park. We had just a powered-site and the weather was terrible (bad luck, I guess!) but the managers were so helpful, kind and friendly that they put some sunshine to our stay. We will be definitely back when the weather gets better! Thanks for having us.

Rooms x 3 clean and tidy reasonably priced. Toilets and showers spotless. Spa playground and BBQ area awesome. Would recommend and book again.

Great team, very nice accomodation. The pool is great and it is not too far from town centre.

Stayed here in the basic units booked by family member, missed memo on providing own plates, cups, cutlery, kettle, pots etc. But was able to hire a camp box with these items provided for refundable fee of $20. Shared kitchen/toilets etc. Would prefer a bit more home comforts as an older person.

Good place, great ratio quality price. I liked the pool and the Jacuzzi. Please note that we didn’t have aircon and at times it was very hot. We went end of January so it was ok but another period could be a different story. Kitchenette was very small. Bedrooms are adequate. The toilet was just outside the room and shower in a separate building.

Great cheap accommodation for the family. Liked the pool and hot pools. However washing machines and dryers expensive and dryers take too long. Recommend using the laundromat down Te Ngae Rd. Faster and cheaper

First time staying at Holdens Bay Holiday Park. It was a last minute booking and the only place in Rotorua with availability within our budget so really grateful for that. The customer service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. The rooms and facilities were also very clean and well maintained. The rooms specifically were warm which was good this time of year. The only complaint really which stops me rating them a 5/5 is their beds. Whilst they were clean and made up with sheets and pillows on our arrival, they were well beyond usability. The double bed felt like an 80s trampoline and the bunk beds were rock hard. They really need to invest money in replacing the beds as they kept us up all night and we left with severe back and neck pains.

Highly recommended! We were first time out with out caravan and Logan was ever helpful and friendly to get out holiday up and running. We were at a powered site backing to the stream and near the playground. The kids enjoyed the stay. Will definitely look at going back there again!

Had a very pleasant 2 night stay. The first night in a very comfortable motel unit and the second night in our newly purchased caravan on a powered site. Staff were only too pleased to accommodate our requests. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean toilets and showers, along with a tidy and well kept camp. Well really enjoyed our stay coming back to this modern camp after our last visit in the 1980's. A vastly different camp.

Camping in a tent - we loved it here! Lovely people, very clean facilities, and beautiful clear stream running near our tent. The hot tub was so nice. Stayed for 2 nights and would stay again. Planes are infrequent and only during the day, and eggy rotorua smell blows through only occasionally.

Very nice and tidy campground, with all the facilities you need to have a good stay ! The crew is young and friendly, and we felt such a good vibe that we decided to stay 5 nights instead of 2. Of course their winter deal on CamperMate (20$ for 2 for a night instead of 40) helped a little :p The main problem of this campground is that it is close to the airport... Apart from that I'm pretty sure it is the best in Rotorua.

So far the first camping in NZ, where we paid even for our youngest child (1 year old). Nice facilities, but should be cleaned more than once a day in this busy time, when the camping is full of people, not very clean. Anyway, nice to stay here.

Staff was happy and helpful. Room was tidied and well maintained. Loos clean and tidy. Communal areas all in good nick and had all the basics. Pool and spas good temperature clean and a nice treat for family. Prices reasonable. Have bookmarked for next trip.

Holiday park is well located and very clean,with friendly staff. Big downfall was the uncomfortable springy double bed. We moved to the bunk beds it was that bad

Really good, very friendly and caring owner/staff - quietness is strictly enforced, the environment and rooms are well looked after. We started staying here as an alternative to ludicrously priced Rotorua motels.

Really great camping site ! The place was remarkably clean at all times! Bathroom and toilet cleaned daily and overall the place is awesome! Hot water small round bath tub. Trampoline and outdoor pool! Only downer was the lack of staff interaction, we spent 2 nights here and didn't see a single staff member.. Otherwise top location for self contained campervan, camping and rooms for hire.

Really nice Campsite! You can easily catch the bus into town (15min ride). They have two hot pools and a small swimming pool. As it is close to the airport, there are some planes flying during daytime, about every 30min, but thats fascinating seeing them taking off and landing and it's totally quiet at night. Free WiFi with good connection even at the end of the campground. There is also a herb garden which can be used in exchange to some gardening. Very Lovely, clean and totally worth for that money! Stayed there a night longer than planned. :)

I stayed at Holdens Bay for 3 days on my vacation. The female staffs were so kind and thoughtful. Also what I want to say is the music in the bathroom. As some people wrote it on the review, the music is on 24 hours. Maybe its not a big deal, but it’s very cheerful, especially in the middle of the night. I love the idea. Affordable price to the great quality and hospitality.

Good clean facilities. Hot showers. Nice communal room. Well priced for what you get! Considering the government locations are similar priced and you get much much less. You can arrive late also after a long day on the road. 🤙

We arrived on Thursday 8th. Was post to stay until the 11th but due to work commitments had to leave on the 10th must say we have always done hotels never holiday parks/motels but the experience at holdens bay holiday park AWESOME the staff the site itself nothing to deflaut the venue the cleaning of the park on a daily basis was awesome to see the Pool & Spa pool my girls loved they said exact same as a hotel provides the Price was so affordable everything in the cabin supplied Definitely be back oneday thank you to all

This place is so cute!! We went to two other places, but this was our favorite! Very, very clean! Great, dacians... great bathrooms with unlimited hot water for showers, laundry room, communal kitchen, many barbecues and picnic tables, children's play area, two hot tubs and a swimming pool, community TV room; good for campers, tenters, and those who even want to stay in a little bungalow.

This place is really good. 10 min walk from beach. 5 mkin walk from McDonald's. Has cabins and grass sites with power and has discounts available some nights. We got our powered site for 15$ instead of 20$ because they had a special on. Has very tidy and clean toilet/shower block, laundry, tv room and games room with pool table. Good kitchen with microwave, toaster and stoves. Has a kids playground as well and a pool outside and a heated pool inside. Easy to get to and has very friendly staff.

A peaceful place, perfect for holidays. The powered sites are big and most of them even have a bench to sit on. The bathroom is huge and clean and there's nice music playing all day. The kitchen is also clean but there's no equipment. The pool and the two hot pools are great and clean, perfect for relaxing. There's also a playground with a trampoline. You can get discounts for some activities in Rotorua in the office. The only thing that annoyed me is that there are surveillance cameras everywhere (even in the kitchen) and the rules are very strict (no noise after 9pm) but all in all it's a great place to stay.

Very well organised with sensible regulations to ensure all have an enjoyable stay. Our unit was very clean. The camp is well maintained with great facilities.

Clean and tidy rooms, great amenities, convenient location and friendly staff. The hot pools are a bonus too, great after a day mountain biking! I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Rotorua.

Spent one night here in our campervan. Well maintained park, big bathroom place - with music and hairdriers(!) very nice touch. We used kitchen which is not equiped, spacey but its not a season we were there alone. Many BBQs around, the only thing which could bother somebody are the planes in the morning.. I ve seen some after 6am but my partner had no clue :)

Highly recommend! This quiet little accommodation place sitting just outside Rotorua central is just what a visiting family ordered. No noise after 9pm! The spacious units are extremely tidy, and the grounds and facilities are very well maintained (I highly recommend a dip in the hot pools). There's a cute adventure playground just out the back of the first block of units and a stream running just behind that. The staff there made us feel very welcome and looked after, and they have a great wealth of knowledge when it comes to the tourist activities in Rotorua and surrounding areas. I mean they recommended exactly what we said we were looking for in such fine detail that we wouldn't have enjoyed our time if it wasn't for them. HBHP made all the difference to our visit to Rotorua and we'll be recommending it to everyone. We'll be back there next time ourselves

Ample sites, all of them powered, some benches around. Bathrooms and kitchen were clean, but the kitchen is missing pans, pots and other utilities. We had WiFi coverage on our site but it wasn't the fastest, however sufficient to upload my photos. With the CamperMate offer it came included, usually it seems to cost something. Downside is the fact that it is located in the approach lane of the really close airport. (but no planes from 9pm to 7am)

Awesome little place, rooms are cheap and great to stay in. Surprisingly warm. Staff are friendly and accomodating. Will defiantly be back in the summer.

A nice quiet place . The room was a large 2 bedroom unit with a double bed and 4 single beds in the next room , a neat and tidy kitchen and bathroom . Only a short drive to town with the redwood forest being close as well

Second stay here, once in two bed cabin and this week a tent. Spotless facilites, great amenties and located a very short drive out of town.

Stayed here for one night on a powerd site for 30$ with the Voucher from Campermate. Really clean facilities and the kitchen was good too. We didn't tried the pool tho because it rained alot. But anyways the Campsite was a nice place to stay. Especially with the voucher.

Caleb and the staff were so friendly & accommodating. I had my dog with me and had to wait 2 hours before I put him in kennel, Caleb had no issue he gave me directions where I can take him for walks. The room was fantastic I'll definitely come back here again.

Very nice place to stay. We loved it. We stayed two nights and had the broken tv but they fixed it immediately upon reporting. Reasonable distance to the skyline. Would recommend this place highly.

It is nice and I love lay out of the place as well. They have a pool and also 2 hot pools that are indoors and it very very close to the super Market. Sorry but I did not get any photos of the place

Love it so much. They got hot pool and swimming pool. Price also cheap. Is a good place to park ur camper van here. Toilet clean and got music inside. Got hair dryer. Got laundry . Feel so relax in this park. All facility good here. Got water supply, power station, dump station.

Great place to stay no matter what type of holiday park accommodation you require. Swimming pool and hot tubs. Large campervan sites. Large shower and toilet block. We came here last minute after breaking down, so anything would do, as it turns out we would organise to come back here if we were in the area again. Highly recommended

Emenities are nice a clean and all camping spots have power. There is a dump station on site that is super convenient. The fella that checked us in helped us get a discount voucher to see the matai Maori village.

Kitchen and fridges rooms have to be more ventilated and clean. Otherwise happy with the set up and our stay. Thank you!

Da unser van doch in den Gardinen Lücken hatte. Das einzige was nervt ab 6 uhr früh bis abends um 20 Uhr ist der gelegentliche Flugverkehr. ..wirklich nur gelegentlich. Auf dem Dorf fährt nen Bus öfter als hier die Flieger los jetten. Das Personal ist auch sehr nett. Die Bungalows sind auch mit dem wichtigsten eingerichtet wie Küche und Utensilien. Empfehlenswert zum schlagen! !!!
