L. L.We Loved it, our kids enjoyed their stay especially. The cold pool and the spa pools were just devine. We booked with the shared facilities, the bathroom, showers and toilets were kept really clean, and the shared kitchen was great. Had a brilliant bbq area, aswell as x2 big bbqs you can use. Everyone was friendly. We arrived late but rung in and they put our key in a key box wich was awsome. Deffinately comming back and bringing friends n family next time.

N. B.Very good budget friendly holiday park with all amenities one could ask for. Also not far from the city centre and Holdens bay beach (Lake Rotorua) is a few hundred metres away. It was awesome to watch sunsets from the bay.

There was a dog locked in a caravan that barked incessantly and disturbed the peace.

Shared kitchen/toilets etc. Would prefer a bit more home comforts as an older person.

Please note that we didn’t have aircon and at times it was very hot. We went end of January so it was ok but another period could be a different story.
Kitchenette was very small. Bedrooms are adequate. The toilet was just outside the room and shower in a separate building.

B.First time staying at Holdens Bay Holiday Park. It was a last minute booking and the only place in Rotorua with availability within our budget so really grateful for that.
The customer service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. The rooms and facilities were also very clean and well maintained. The rooms specifically were warm which was good this time of year.
The only complaint really which stops me rating them a 5/5 is their beds. Whilst they were clean and made up with sheets and pillows on our arrival, they were well beyond usability. The double bed felt like an 80s trampoline and the bunk beds were rock hard. They really need to invest money in replacing the beds as they kept us up all night and we left with severe back and neck pains.
N. A. N.Highly recommended! We were first time out with out caravan and Logan was ever helpful and friendly to get out holiday up and running. We were at a powered site backing to the stream and near the playground. The kids enjoyed the stay. Will definitely look at going back there again!

Planes are infrequent and only during the day, and eggy rotorua smell blows through only occasionally.

The main problem of this campground is that it is close to the airport... Apart from that I'm pretty sure it is the best in Rotorua.

V. V.Really great camping site ! The place was remarkably clean at all times! Bathroom and toilet cleaned daily and overall the place is awesome! Hot water small round bath tub. Trampoline and outdoor pool! Only downer was the lack of staff interaction, we spent 2 nights here and didn't see a single staff member.. Otherwise top location for self contained campervan, camping and rooms for hire.
D. G.Really nice Campsite! You can easily catch the bus into town (15min ride). They have two hot pools and a small swimming pool. As it is close to the airport, there are some planes flying during daytime, about every 30min, but thats fascinating seeing them taking off and landing and it's totally quiet at night. Free WiFi with good connection even at the end of the campground. There is also a herb garden which can be used in exchange to some gardening. Very Lovely, clean and totally worth for that money! Stayed there a night longer than planned. :)

The female staffs were so kind and thoughtful.
Also what I want to say is the music in the bathroom. As some people wrote it on the review, the music is on 24 hours. Maybe its not a big deal, but it’s very cheerful, especially in the middle of the night. I love the idea.

W. K.This place is so cute!! We went to two other places, but this was our favorite! Very, very clean! Great, dacians... great bathrooms with unlimited hot water for showers, laundry room, communal kitchen, many barbecues and picnic tables, children's play area, two hot tubs and a swimming pool, community TV room; good for campers, tenters, and those who even want to stay in a little bungalow.
A. C.This place is really good. 10 min walk from beach. 5 mkin walk from McDonald's. Has cabins and grass sites with power and has discounts available some nights. We got our powered site for 15$ instead of 20$ because they had a special on.
Has very tidy and clean toilet/shower block, laundry, tv room and games room with pool table. Good kitchen with microwave, toaster and stoves. Has a kids playground as well and a pool outside and a heated pool inside. Easy to get to and has very friendly staff.
L. P.A peaceful place, perfect for holidays. The powered sites are big and most of them even have a bench to sit on. The bathroom is huge and clean and there's nice music playing all day. The kitchen is also clean but there's no equipment. The pool and the two hot pools are great and clean, perfect for relaxing. There's also a playground with a trampoline. You can get discounts for some activities in Rotorua in the office. The only thing that annoyed me is that there are surveillance cameras everywhere (even in the kitchen) and the rules are very strict (no noise after 9pm) but all in all it's a great place to stay.

k. p.Spent one night here in our campervan. Well maintained park, big bathroom place - with music and hairdriers(!) very nice touch. We used kitchen which is not equiped, spacey but its not a season we were there alone. Many BBQs around, the only thing which could bother somebody are the planes in the morning.. I ve seen some after 6am but my partner had no clue :)
E. W.Highly recommend! This quiet little accommodation place sitting just outside Rotorua central is just what a visiting family ordered. No noise after 9pm! The spacious units are extremely tidy, and the grounds and facilities are very well maintained (I highly recommend a dip in the hot pools). There's a cute adventure playground just out the back of the first block of units and a stream running just behind that. The staff there made us feel very welcome and looked after, and they have a great wealth of knowledge when it comes to the tourist activities in Rotorua and surrounding areas. I mean they recommended exactly what we said we were looking for in such fine detail that we wouldn't have enjoyed our time if it wasn't for them. HBHP made all the difference to our visit to Rotorua and we'll be recommending it to everyone. We'll be back there next time ourselves

Bathrooms and kitchen were clean, but the kitchen is missing pans, pots and other utilities.
We had WiFi coverage on our site but it wasn't the fastest, however sufficient to upload my photos. With the CamperMate offer it came included, usually it seems to cost something.
Downside is the fact that it is located in the approach lane of the really close airport. (but no planes from 9pm to 7am)

La cuisine est assez basique, mais il y a ce qu il faut. Y compris 3 tables pour manger.

Ein Stop wert! Du findest hier wirklich alles was du brauchst.....Wäsche waschen trocknen. ...Küche. ..tiefkühler und kühlschrank. ....Gemeinschaft duschen und WC für Boys and Girls. Alles für dein van...Wasser Strom. ..etc.
Die WC etc sind 24h offen für dich.
Schön ist zu erwähnen, dass die strassen Beleuchtung nachts um 12 Uhr ausgemacht wird....ich fand es super. Da unser van doch in den Gardinen Lücken hatte.
Das einzige was nervt ab 6 uhr früh bis abends um 20 Uhr ist der gelegentliche Flugverkehr. ..wirklich nur gelegentlich. Auf dem Dorf fährt nen Bus öfter als hier die Flieger los jetten.
Das Personal ist auch sehr nett. Die Bungalows sind auch mit dem wichtigsten eingerichtet wie Küche und Utensilien.
Empfehlenswert zum schlagen! !!!
