Great hut, beautiful historic building. We stayed upstairs in the bunks. nice firepit outside, drying rack, shower and flushing toilets. Did hear some noises overnight of mouses/rats casually fighting on the roof. Entertaining wekas as always.

Best hut I've ever stayed in. Big fire, 20 or so bunks and good amount of reading about the hut which tells lots about the history of the area and building.
Stayed in July, so it was cold in the morning. Fire takes about an hour to heat up the place. Stairs are thin so care is needed when walking up and down them.
I think three rooms total. Definitely two rooms upstairs, and saw one room downstairs. One big table with a few long seats.
No lighting, so make sure you have lots of torches.
Drinking water outside, and toilets are outside through some bush. About 20 meters from the hut.
Little wood cutting area too.
Lots of weka around. They like to run through the hut and steal your food, so keep the doors closed ;)

Great hut with cold shower, beach nearby and comfy bunks. Big communal area plenty of dining space. Theres one room with 2 beds, a room with like 6 beds, a room with 4 and a room with like 8 beds.

I didnt stay in this hut. I booked a tent site. The hut is an historical building from the sheep farming era. European style bedding arrangements. Worth the walk along this beautiful coast.

Unique place to stay in the park. Be careful with the wood stove, will work only with really dry wood. Enjoy!

Great hut in the north of the National Park with great facilities (including cold showers), filtered water and access to a nice beach.

(Translated) I have not stayed here, but there are about 20 tent places and probably 20 sleeping places in the hut. The hut looks very inviting. There are showers and toilets and also drinking water. The drinking water is also great for passing hikers. There is a beautiful stretch of beach right near the hut (further towards Separation Point). The hut is about 6km / 1-1.5h from the Wainui Bay Carpark.
