Reviews of Waimanu Lagoon
G.Another excellent and easy walk on well formed tracks in the Waikanae Estuary. This area provides a native habitat and a safe corridor for wildlife moving between the mountains, river, and sea.
k.A wonderful place to take a walk or just to relax with the sound of the water. Birdlife is abundant and on a good day the Lagoon bustles with people, but there is still space. Well maintained and a favorite locally.
L.Gorgeous spot with loads of different bird life.
Start at the local cafe and meander down the beach swing left at the stream and discover this spot for yourself. Return walking time down the beach around the lagoon and back is almost bang on an hour.
T.A greater variety of bird life and some wonderful walks around the Lagoons and Beach
D.Lovely spot to walk, watch the birds and play with the camera. Easy access to Estuary and beach. Plenty of parking.
A.Such a beautiful area, be nice to see council fix up the picnic tables so they are safe and easily accessible and suitable for all.
