I'm sure the staff thought we were royalty. The whole place is clean and respectable. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our room was absolute value for money. So much so that we stayed for work but have decided to make this our new weekend away destination. This holiday park is a real credit to the staff and an asset to Whakatane. Located within a short stroll to town with its many restaurants and quirky shops. A short drive to the stunning Ohope Beach. Highly recommended.

Everythig is good here EXCEPT for the internet and WiFi which is lousy as can be. Even for the very basic checking sending and receiving emails the connection is frustratingly slow and unreliable.

Checked in out of time but they made sure that I had all the info I needed to get to our cabin. Very clean and just the right amount of space we needed for our family.

This is so close to town you don't need to take the car out, you can take a pleasant stroll. Every one is friendly. Ablutions are clean and the rabbits running around are loved by all.

Second time we've stayed here and we love it. Our 2 bedroom cabin had plenty of room for 4 adults and a baby. Very very clean and so tidy, and the bonus, a very friendly team. Grandson got to see rabbits on the grounds, other campers pets, the Rose gardens across the road and best of all the Playground. You will definitely see us again, when there's another whanau get together. Thank you.

Great welcome. Helpful and friendly staff. 2 bedroom premium rooms were nice and tidy. The self contained room (sleeps up to 4) needed vacuuming and the sofa bed was only big enough for x 1 child. Thankfully the owners brought us a single mattress to sleep on. Recommend putting a mirror in the bedrooms, a rubbish bin in the bathroom and a lamp by each bed. Also recommend better road lighting by the cabins. Without the cabins outdoor lights on, it was dark. Was a bit alarmed to see police walking through the grounds with flashlights looking for someone late hours of the night and they were back again the following morning. For this reason, I would probably look elsewhere for accommodation in future.

Great campground with nice swimming pool and reasonably close access to Whakatane town centre

We loved it here! The kids had a great time, met some other families that were staying here that they played with and we chatted with. Grounds were tidy and clean and our unit was really tidy as well. In a great spot in town, 2minute walk into town, park, skatepark and a handy walkway to go for bike rides on.

At the moment it is very nice and clean fresh looking inside, very quite ,bed comfortable

It's peaceful friendly no one bothers you. It's always clean and tidy nice staff friendly mindful and helpful. Nice location close to the strand I think it's called and just not far from alot of good shopping areas close distance even walkable nice stop 👍

This holiday park is 'neat as a pin' and kept very clean. I needed last minute accommodation for a work trip, and it was close to town, yet nice and quiet. Debbie (in the office) went out of her way to help me, even allowing me to email her several work documents so she could print them out for me! She was a real life saver, and was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

What a great place to stay and is so close to town and yet away for it all

Great little Kiwi Holiday Park. The amenities are nice and tidy and kept very clean. Staff are friendly and quite helpful. The park is right on the river with the Warren Cole Walkway running right beside and a lovely park and gardens just across the road. It's about a 10 minute walk to the shopping area which is about perfect. There's also some cute little bunnies that run around ... Almost tame.

Great little place to stay! Easy to find and navigate. Staff are friendly and efficient. The little unit we had was super clean and cute! We loved it. Something to note is there is a lack of cooking equipment in regards to pans but we worked around it. Good facilities, we will definitely pass through again!

Not your usual holiday park accommodation. Spacious large bedrooms one with a king size bed modern bathroom, kitchen with fridge freezer and outside deck with large table and chairs.The grounds were well kept with a large swimming pool for the kids.Will definitely be returning.

Stayed in the deluxe 2 bedroom suite, best I have seen in a holiday park. Super clean. Good location. Reasonably priced. Cherry on the top is the Pool.

We really enjoyed our stay for four nights... Cabin cool and cosey with good facilities for the four of us. Rabbits in camp an added cute bonus and Staff very warm and friendly..... always willing to help. Pool and walks close by with Rose gardens just across the road, Town center a 5 min walk away. Where good food and coffee can be found.

Great little spot! We (4) were in one of the self contained units. It was clean and tidy with everything you could need (microwave could have done with a scrub though) I had a great sleep, double bed was comfortable and the location was quite. Would not hesitate to stay again. Only real down side was the size of the bunk beds, far to small for an adult. Made for an uncomfortable sleep for 2 of us! But everything else was great.

Nestled between 2 park's on the estuary edge and 5 to 10 minutes casual walk to whakatane wharf district. This park is owned and operated by the town council and is kept in very good condition and the accomodation ranging from tent sites through to rv /mobile homes. Also cabins and units. The facilities are well maintained etc. Recommended for family stays

Whakatane has 2 Motorhome camping sites. One just out of town and this one about 5 mins from the town central. The camp isn't fancy but it was busy. It is clean & tidy. They have locked toilet areas (ladies is coded which I liked) and the area is spotless. They have a kitchen and lounge area, also a pool for summertime. The staff are friendly (especially a lady with short blonde hair - she was lovely). It is right next to an inlet and the camp is quiet & free from the wind.

We stayed at the holiday park for Easter 2018 in one of the new units. The unit was really nice with all facilities and was just like home away from home. Beds were really comfortable. Lovely shower. Even had a washing machine although we didn't use it as I was on holiday. If we go to Whakatane again we would definitely stay there.

A very nice motor camp clean amenities great caravan sites and a short stroll into the town center also allow dogs on site friendly patrons and managers

We stayed here in our caravan on a powered site. The location is excellent, close to town and the great walkway/cycleway. Facilities were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The caravan site at the end of the camp where we stayed need attention. We would stay here again.

Fabulous people that have taken over this magnificent place in the heart and water front of Whakatane. Great customer service, they are so warm and inviting and really go the extra mile for there customers. Clean facilities and very nice they are too, Very accommodating and i advise more people to take on this experience and receive the fabulous treatment that we have been shown, not once but three times we have stayed there and always the same great service and hospitality given. We stayed in the tawa cabin and loved our stay. It was very tidy and modern. Good kitchen, spacious and a good high pressure shower. Will definitely be back! Thanks a lot.

Nice and smily people work there, all is clean and there is music in the bathroom which is good. The only bad point are in some equipments, the wifi didn’t work until 6:00pm, there is a shower with nothing to hang clothes, the hotwater machine in the kitchen provide cold water before 8:00am. It was raining, and all the seats inside was wet, so there was nowhere to seat for eat.

I had a wonderful time at this campground. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I was just in tent and it was a really quick walk along the water to get to the main part of town. A beautiful location that was kept clean and safe! Loved it!

Just dropped in to see a friend, very hospitable, nice caravans, clean, tidy. Would definitely look at staying there. Can only give 3 stars as only visit for A few hours.

Cheap camping ground. Amenities are ok, free showers, free wifi and a swimming pool, good for the price. Tentsites were on a slope and there wasn't much shade. One huge downside was the cleaner starting cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen around 8am, until 10am! Was trying to have a shower and use the toilet but she was cleaning everything. She was trying to clean the kitchen sinks while people were still doing their dishes. Very uncomfortable. Cleaning shouldn't start before 10am, check out time, or notices should at least be put up to warn campers. Overall ok for a night. Close to town and to a walk.

Awesome place to stay there for the weekend away from crazy Auckland people. Time to sit back and relax. Awesome staff who help you with your question and happy to show you good places to visit.

What a fantastic venue for what we were after! Glenfield Greyhounds were down here for the Whakatane League Tournament, lots of kids and parents. Perfect for a large group of kids and adults. Very clean bathrooms and kitchen facilities. Thanks for having us!

We were in number 20 be nice to have a screen between dump station and room this is my second time staying here and I have always found it very clean and friendly staff but if I stayed again I would ask not to be placed in room 20

This has been my 3rd stay now at Whakatane Holiday Park. What a beautiful place. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The staff are really welcoming and kind. Great location by the gardens. Plenty of space. Clean bathroom and showers. Kitchen can get a bit cramped, but I just went after the rush. Comfortable tv room.

Wow thats all i can say, this park has had a major upgrade, stayed in a unit which was immaculate, very clean & tidy. Greeted by McHayla who is just awesome to deal with. Nothing was to much trouble or a bother. The park is close to everywhere and thing you need. DIFFENNATLEY be back in the summer.

Myself my partner and our 2 girls loved our stay here not only was our room perfect for us the new owners are amazing the most welcoming family was the best camp grounds we have ever stayed at thank you for the great service and hospitality will definitely be back again and will recommend this camp grounds to our family and friends thanks again from the noisy family in room 18 haha :)

The lady at the reception is super friendly, the place is nice with flat camper places and close to the city. The shower was supposed to be warm, but it was cold.

I stayed here on Thursday night. Lovely clean camp ground. And awesome friendly staff. 5/5 from me.

Gr8 location to WHK town centre.. easy walk along riverside walkway.. as with any campground best in off season as prices lowered and less of the crowds.. lots ground space with everything you need in ablution block [ you need your own kitchen stuff ] mornin sun raises are pretty spectacular if you keen to get up early - otherwise checkout my pic 😛

Awesum camp. Vastly improved since council took over. Great facilities, even greater staff. Short walk to town centre along well maintained walkways. LOVE the place.

We stayed in 'Rimu' which is a two bedroom cabin with the lot. Spotless and a great size for a family.
