S.Toilets are off the drive, on the way to the Public parking where most campers park up.
The toilets were clean, flushable, had running water (non potable) for the sink taps, a soap dispenser and hand air dryer.
There's a small rubbish bin outside the toilets.
W.Love the beach. Good parking and also a good place for the family to go for good day out.
Picked a lot of pups pipis, muscles, fish , and crabs.
Three location of the beach means is close to town and supplies.
M.Lovely area. Car park with toilets, nice bridge over creek leading down to the stunning Oputere beach
O.Wonderful place to go to get away from the busy city. No shops here, just so you know and parking is very limited, I would say 20 cars max.
C.Be prepared to walk around 800m to the beach. Once you get there, paradise. No facilities at the beach and no patrols. Toilets at the carpark.
J.Beautiful, quiet beach. Long stretch of white sand. Lovely walk through the forest to get there. Dogs permitted on a leash. Other side of the beach is a great place to gather shellfish at low tide but take note of DOC signs relating to quantity allowed and if any algae are present in the waters. Also be aware of bird nesting areas during certain parts of the year.
S.Such a beautiful place. Be aware that even though it's white sand IT'S HOT! Had me running and crying down to the beach hah!
M.Has public toilets and short walk to great beach. Children can play in the water by the footbridge at the carpark at the low tide.

D.Just a quick trip for us to Opoutere, but it was a relatively short walk from the carpark (apparently 700m) and all flat and easy walking to the beach. Mostly sand along a fairly narrow path through a pine forest. The parking area is gravel and caters for campers.
R.Want some space to get away from it all, try here. A short walk through the pines and you can choose your spot.
D.So quiet and tucked away. Lovely short walk to a beautiful beach. Definitely want to go back.

M.Opoutere beach park is a pretty good spot. Five minute walk to the beach. Parking is pretty skint so you need to get in early.

Ein sehr ruhiger freier Platz. Zum Meer durch den Wald sind es ca.15 Minuten.
L.(Translated) Very nice and romantic to go to the beach in the evening. There is also a campsite nearby.
To do this, you first walk over a bridge into a forest and then come out of the forest directly to the beach. There is not much going on and there is a lot of space.

Sehr schön und romantisch um Abends an den Strand zu gehen in der Nähe gibt es auch noch einen Campingplatz.
Man läuft dazu erst über eine Brücke in einen Wald und kommt dann aus dem Wald direkt an den Strand. Es ist nicht viel los und viel Platz.
