I have been meaning to write a review about my gym for ages. If you're like me, and you find gyms intimidating generally speaking, this is one for you. Small and friendly. Great teachers. Great classes. I have settled on going to one of Jo's classes 3 times a week because that's when you start really feeling like you are making a difference. You can adjust weights according to your level of fitness so nothing is daunting and beyond reach. And most importantly Jo is just THE BEST. If I am honest her classes have saved me from insanity over the past couple of years. So thank you Jo! 😊

I have never been a gym person but that all changed when I started some PT sessions at Bodi with Mike. I was super nervous at first but the team there have helped guide me with good techniques and have been super supportive in my journey to better health. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I had been looking for a personal trainer for a while to help keep me motivated. Found Bodi online and have been really impressed from the start. Everything from the great communication, the gym facilities, the knowledge to the friendliness, patience and encouragement has been on point. They will assign a trainer best suited to your needs. In my case it was knee trouble and weight loss goals and my trainer, Mike has been so, so helpful. Goals are realistic and achievable. Slow and steady wins the race in my case! Really, very happy and would recommend Bodi (and Mike!) to anyone and everyone wanting a trainer who will work with you to achieve your goals.

Absolutely love this gym! I go to Jo’s morning classes and I love it! I was never a “gym” person or a morning person but I honestly love going, on the days I don’t go I miss the gym! This is mainly because of Jo and what a great trainer she is! She is motivating and a great support. I don’t think I would still be going to the gym if she wasn’t there, I would have given up. So highly recommend Bodi and Jo’s classes!!

Bodi offers great classes and awesome personal trainers. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy changing room, and bonus free scans added to PT to keep track of the training results. Easy to use App for online bookings.

I train with Mike, he has the perfect combination of professionalism, communication and making you feel comfortable in what we do on a regular training basis. Highly recommend Bodi Personal Training studio with Daaf. Both my partner and I look forward to our sessions and have made real progress working with Daaf. His sessions are always varied and work towards our personal goals. Daaf takes time to get to know you and works with you to create interesting sessions that push you to work hard.

I have been training with the personal trainers at Bodi HQ and found it great for knee surgery recovery, ongoing strength building and mental health. I’m surprised at my progress in gaining strength and using my muscles correctly so I can avoid injury. I enjoy the training, the social aspect of it, the classes which I attend, and the premises, which are very nice. I appreciate the flexibility of my training times, when necessary, because my work schedule can be changeable. The exercises vary all the time, so it’s never boring; I always look forward to coming there.
It seems that the highly knowledgeable trainers are happy working there, as the atmosphere is very friendly, relaxed and happy- a great environment to be in.

I love this gym, I love the HIIT classes at Bodi. These Classes run as drop in times which is great if you are running a head or behind time. Jo our trainer is great at motivating you and making sure you technique is correct. what I also love about these classes is you can go at your own pace. I have found the people very friendly and easy going. Thanks Bodi you actually make going to the gym fun!! cheers Paula

Best gym environment I have ever stepped foot in to! The staff are welcoming, encouraging and challenge you in your fitness journey. Gym environments can be a bit intimidating yet I felt so at home at Bodi! Highly recommend Mike and Jo - amazing trainers 🙌🏽

I highly recommend Bodi for personal training, group fitness and the facilities. I have been a member for over a year and can speak to their high quality and personable approach. I always feel welcome, safe and respected. My personal trainer and the group leaders are knowledgeable and professional. I appreciate the level of cleanliness, friendly fellow members, and the song lists. When Bodi moved to a new location, I could sense how committed ownership was to improving facilities while still staying equally personable and positive. Mike is my trainer and he is super positive, authentic, caring, organized and dedicated. He is easy to relate with and tough on me when needed, while always adapting to my level of fitness and ability. He was especially helpful after I had a work-related back injury, and I recovered really well. He helped me a lot with correcting my posture and I am standing much straighter now! Another great thing is that Mike designs fitness programmes and is reachable between sessions to answer questions. Mike emphasizes the fundamentals really well and I am reaching my fitness goals. Lots of variety in terms of classes, exercises and training options. The drop-in HIIT classes are a great format, with flexible timing, good staff and friendly members. Jo is a great instructor who encourages you to push yourself, provides excellent tips on technique, and can help find exercise modifications to fit around injuries or different ability levels.

A massive shout out to Mike who has been doing some PT sessions with me for about a year. I had to have major surgery which left me with a long recovery and unable to do some movements. Mike was able to work around this and still give me a decent workout.
He is excellent at working out what motivates me the most. Mike also mixes up each PT session offering variety each time I enter BODHI. Highly recommended

This is a great gym... fantastic staff, good equipment and a really good variety of classes. What I especially love is no two classes are ever the same, so you never get bored! Keep being awesome Bodi HQ team!! :)

The current timetable contains a broad spectrum of exercises, including yoga, sculpt, HIIT-type classes and weight training. Jo is an amazing instructor whom I’ve been exercising with for over 20 years. She is a great motivator and you are guaranteed to leave her class with a spring in your step.

Have been going to Bodi for over a year now, starting off at their original location and most recently at their new one. 5 stars for Jo (Thank you, Jo!), who has been instructing and coaching at Bodi for many, many years. I did personal training with Jo and almost exclusively took her classes. She's always so positive, encouraging, and seems to really care about the members. Also, from day 1, I noticed the strong sense of community at the gym. There are members that have been going there for a very, very long time and whether you're a seasoned member or new to the gym, everyone is very welcoming.

I was training with Daaf for about 9 months. I strongly believe he is one of the most experienced & committed trainers around. I started training twice a week, really enjoyed the variety & challenge he put into the personal one-on-one session.
Daaf is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). Few months later, people started asking me “who do you trained with?” The result speaks for itself! :D
My fitness has increased noticeably, and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more sit ups / core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session. I find I look forward to my workouts.
He is extremely reliable & punctual – always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned.
In every session, he ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. Apart from the technical, he also looked into my diet and made sure I consumed the right proportions of protein, fat and calories.
Apart from training with Daaf, I also joined the group classes conducted by other trainers at BODI. Mike, Jo, Angus, Tatyana are awesome! I would recommend Daaf & BODI to anyone looking to improve their fitness with a dedicated group of trainers!!

I've been seeing Nelson (2-4 times a week) since the start of the year & it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I've lost a bit of weight, am the strongest I've ever been & most importantly gained a lot of confidence.
I was quite active when I was younger/during high school though unfortunately didn't continue this when I started my career. Consequently I struggled to get back into a proper fitness routine & after numerous failed attempts I decided to try a different approach.
I found Bodi online & as I've had a couple of personal trainers in the past through the likes of Les Mills I knew what I wanted out of a personal trainer & Nelson/Mike are levels ahead.
From the first free consultation with Mike I knew the team at Bodi were the real deal & actually know what they're talking about.
No training session is the same & Nelson knows how to motivate you to your potential - you'll be surprised how far your can push yourself!
The Bodi studio has a great community around it and we've even made a few friends throughout the year.
The journey isn't over and I'll continue to see Nelson on a weekly/fortnightly basis long term. My girlfriend has also recently started training with Nelson as she's seen how happy I've been with my progress.
If you've been struggling like I was to get back into fitness I can't recommend Bodi enough - make the call & invest in yourself.

I had been looking for a personal trainer for some time but I couldn’t quite find the right trainer, I was looking for that connection the right personality..
After long hours searching I emailed 3 different personal trainers, Mike from Bodi was the only one to get back to me (within 48hrs) and after a few minutes talking with him I knew he could transform my body and mind to where I needed to be.
Mike has been training me now for some time and the transformation is brilliant, all my friends have been noticing a lot.. Thanks Mike.
I have to be honest and say that normally I’d give up at this point as I’ve achieved my fitness goal but Mike has motivated me to excel and just to get moving a lot more and stay moving.
The regular txt and communication is great.
It really is a great atmosphere and I’m always looking forward to go to training and Mike has a funny side to him which makes things easy.
I would definitely recommend anyone to Bodi transformations as they really do do what they say they will do, Always professional!!

The Bodi team are genuinely focused on results and not what you're wearing. Being a smaller studio means that there's never more than 5 people training at one time and even though you're all working out independently, there's a great feeling of support from the staff and others around you. I started training with Gabriel 4 months ago after doing very little exercise for a good 12 months. I was feeling sluggish and unmotivated and wanted to get my energy back and training with Gabriel has allowed me to do that. Plus I feel stronger, fitter and more toned. Gabriel is tough but fun and will always help you to do your best at every session. He makes you accountable and ensures you get the most out of every minute, with no 2 sessions ever the same. And I enjoy going which says a lot! So I would highly recommend Gabriel and the team at Bodi!

This was a great place to recover confidence after ongoing injuries and get back into enjoying working out with a personalised plan and varied classes. Mike works hard to keep me moving safely while reaching for a bit more and he even makes it fun.
The classes are challenging in a good way, and there’s lots of support to keep doing the excises right to avoid injury.

I have always been an active and sporty person but over the past 5 years got busy, which really means lazy, and didn't focus on fitness at all. I contacted Bodi, met with Mike, set some goals and started training the next day. After 7 months my 23 year old son tells me I'm getting buff. How great is that! Mike makes you work hard and encourages you to push yourself. His focus is on you and he is a hard task master but don't let that scare you. The results are amazing and you'll surprise yourself at what you can do with a bit of commitment and a heap of support. I have no hesitation recommending Mike as a trainer and have done so already. Go for it. You won't regret it and you'll certainly have many laughs along the way. Thanks Mike.

I've been seeing Mike at Bodi regularly for the last 15 months. Why?! Sessions are only 30 mins, short and sharp. Mike tailors my workouts so there's variety - I don't get bored. When I'm hurting he will tweak training so I don't injure myself, while building strength there too. Oh sure, I curse his name on the drive home 😂 but I'm always back again next week! If you're looking for a reason to commit, call them.

I started my journey with Mike in May of this year. He tailors your workouts to the areas you want to focus on and each session is different and intense. He's big on technique and loves pushing his clients to their limits but the results speak for themselves. Four months down the track my body has changed shape and I'm steadily losing weight because I'm more aware of my training and my diet. Give him a go. You'll probably hate him after the second work out but he's ok with that. He's there for you and will take the abuse just so you can get the results you want. I have no hesitation in recommending Mike. He's really good and on top of that a nice guy.

I've been going to Bodi for a month now and the differences both within myself and physically that I've already started to see have been life changing. Gabriel has been an excellent trainer and has always pushed me to my limits whilst advocating correct form and posture. I saw Nelson 5 times a week for 3 weeks and I saw incredible results! I lost inches all over my body within a week. Every day was different and Nelson was able to push me further than I thought was possible. He is extremely kind and very good at motivating you, my only regret is that I had to leave the city for University. I've been training weekly with Mike for almost a year. He's helped in through a knee injury and shoulder injury. The rehab process wasn't boring stretches like some other places, he really helped the muscles work properly again and works to proactively build muscle in the right place to avoid any other injury. 5 star trainer for his training and smartass sense of humour. I wasn't getting into my sports very often anymore and generally disappointed with my lack of commitment to my fitness. I decided to embark on a quick training journey to get me back on track. The first session had me wondering what I had gotten myself into, that was almost 8 months ago and I no longer see this as a quick journey. Besides the physical improvements, the added energy, motivation and goal achievements make it worth every painful second and have me returning for more.
The team is great, always friendly. I have been training twice a week with Gabriel and I have never experienced an identical session or a similar trainer. Gabriel makes the sessions fun (even when you are being stubborn or having a big moan about it), and consistently offers encouragement. Totally recommended.

With a job & 2 toddlers, + a sore back, I thought I’d never find time to lose weight and get fitter. Michael Rickard made me realise it can be done and it’s easier than I thought. He tailors the workouts to help me with my back pain and shared his knowledge that a workout can be done in half an hour whilst still being effective. i’ve always wanted to join a gym but was too scared of being locked into a contract, and also having no clue about exercise programs or how to use the fitness equipment without looking like a complete idiot 😂. i googled personal trainers and bodi transformations came up! i hesistated and kept humming and harring about it! finally i thought just fill out the form and go for a trial! what is there to lose? NOTHING! mike contacted me and organized a date for me to come in for a trial. 4 months in i’ve built up my confidence and learnt how to use the fitness equipment myself and have the correct posture while doing so. mike’s great!! don’t mistaken him and think hes soft, he’ll kill you within a few sessions in haha! kidding! or am i? 😜 definitely recommened mike he’s straight forward and no BS! get the work done, he still checks in from time to time to see if i’ve been keeping up with my training. i cant thank you enough for starting off my fitness journey 💪🏻💪🏻 thank you bodi transformations.

Absolutely loving my time at Bodi Transformations! Mike listens to what you're after and you definitely get results! I walked 100km in the Oxfam Trailwalker, which I'm sure you can imagine took a lot of preparation. Mike identified where my problem areas would be and worked to strengthen those areas. This year the trailwalker turned out to be the most gruelling ever and I was ridiculously happy with how my body held out. Along side of this I have also had success with weight loss and muscle tone, why wouldn't you want to come here?

Great place to start your journey of fitness, I have been training with Gabriel for more than 4 months now and it has been a wonderful experience so far. It was not easy to get on track and do the things, but with a trainer like Gabriel it was never difficult as well.

I can’t rate the team highly enough !!
They are professional, flexible and fun.
I started looking for a trainer as I’m an old boy (yes not just young uns get a trainer!) and have been having some health issues. Primarily back, pre diabetes and heart issues.
I started with the team overweight, fat, not a good place. After several months I am NO longer pre diabetic, stronger core for my back and have gone from 36% body fat to 23% with the help of the Bodi Trasformation nutrition program. Oh yes it’s a holistic, total wrap around service you get fully supported which other trainers and establishments do not do !!!!
Be prepared to work though and commit to it. Hard I know but if you don’t what’s the point right? The team will help drive, cajole and support you on the journey but make no mistake you have to do it!!
Do it today, don’t keep thinking about it, reading things like this and thinking it’s a good idea. Pick the phone up get on the email, whatever it takes and start sorting yourself out at any age !! Be hard yards at first but when you see the changes, feel the new energy and see good blood results, drop all the pills you been taking and so on, it is not a lie to say you will feel like a new person !!
These folks are the real deal and I highly recommend them !!

Have learnt a lot about Technic and correct posture with Michael, he varies the drills each time which makes it more interesting but drives you hard to achieve your goals.
I think he enjoys seeing you blowing like a wind turbine with pain on your face but at the same time it drives me to go harder and reap the rewards.
My back and core are starting to feel stronger, which is helping my fitness and changing body shape.

Very happy with the time I spent here. I've had to keep buying new clothes as my old ones got too big for me. Not only did I achieve my goal of general weight loss, I also accomplished things I didn't think were possible for me like gaining muscle and fitness. Another major thing I gained from bodi was that my trainer helped me develop good habits in my personal life which have been a big factor in my success - I've gone from a fast food diet to completely wiping it out from my menu.

Gabriel makes the pain of the PT Session more enjoyable. There are some serious workouts in the programme and he does a great job cycling the sessions targeting different parts of the body. You will feel and see results.

I love this gym, I love the high intensity and motivation the instructors give throughout the classes. The classes are the main reason I signed up for this gym as you don’t have to think of your own workout and every hit session is different.

Change is good. It's good for your body and your mind whether it feels good at the time or not. The change in this gym is phenomenal and I've seen both sides. Felt shy and awkward in the first classes I went to but the new hit squad everyone is so friendly it's hard to be shy! The trainers are super friendly and great to get along with. I honestly haven't been to a gym that I wanted to keep going back to! There are different levels for everyone's fitness goals and it's great to get out of the comfort zone to test yourself. The presence of the owner on the floor and his energy is fab and great to see someone pumped and involved everyday. The review from 'a Google user' is bull and have no idea where the warped opinion has come from but everyone is entitled to their opinion...
If you want a gym that can help with your goals, your different levels and where no one will judge when you try, then this gym is for you.

Group classes are great. Very motivating as I wasn't good at just going to the gym and doing my own thing. Morning 915am classes with Jo are fantastic - she really makes the class. It's always different and fun.

Really enjoying this studio! The group classes are proper work outs - not like the normal standard one size fits all type classes where I can get away with not pushing myself. The trainers actually get involved with group workouts and are also active in the gym up stairs so I got lots of tips and advice for free along the way. 6 in the morning brings many a new adventure and learning, along with some epic sunrises. I've learned things can still make you cry laugh at that hour, burpees are negotiable to an extent, treadmills take practice, heavy stuff gets lighter, hard work pays off, food diaries keep you honest and so does G. He has made me fitter and stronger while putting up with some decent whinging from my side but provides comic relief to get me through each session.

I joined Bodi HQ a few months ago and I am very happy with all the classes I have attended something different every time making me feel the burn on my limited gym time at lunch. The team at Bodi HQ are amazing!! So happy to have joined them, I highly recommend to all! I saw so many good results and got so much stronger from going to the instructor led classes. They are very good at encouraging you to do your best and also are extremely understanding of everyone's different fitness levels. There is different levels and options for all! I really appreciated the care they took when I have injured myself outside of the gym; all the attention the instructors gave in altering exercises and checking everything was ok. I initially joined to complete the intense 6 weeks challenge but have since joined as a permanent member. The HIIT classes here are fantastic and aimed to help women. The trainers work with you to give you the confidence you need to ensure you complete the workouts correctly and safely but also push you to ensure you get the very best out of each class. This gym is for all shapes and sizes. I would encourage you to come along and have a look!

Bodi HQ is a great gym. They offer classes several times a day, 7 days per week. The 6am classes are especially great - you really feel good for the day after attending. There are a range of HIIT style classes and strength training. The downstairs workout area is also cool. Would highly recommend this gym.

AMAZING! This is a fantastic gym to be part of. Marcus and his team have created a warm, inclusive, high energy environment and I always look forward to coming in! The group sessions are very effective and I've seen fantastic results. The sessions are unique, always interesting and draw on the latest innovation and research. I have tried several weight loss programs and none of them works for me, when I learned about Bodi HQ's 6 weeks body transformation challenge, I told myself, why not give it a go, what's to lose anyway, and guess what- this is the best decision I ever made!!
Apart from dropping 3.2kgs and 7.4% bodyfat in 5weeks time only, I am really enjoying coming to this gym almost everyday, I love the environment- good vibes, great people and exceptional classes! It's like a family!
Everyone is so supportive with each other, coaches are amazing wether it be HIIT, Body Shape, Pilates, Zumba, Burn It, Box Fit, they all are great and passionate in what they do! Hi my name is Rachael, I'm a wife, a sister, an aunt, a student, a friend and a little over 8 months ago I became a mother for the third time. A lot of you ladies will relate to the fact that time is a rare commodity in our daily dealings, whether you're an at home mum or a working mum at that. The dreaded 'to-do list' is infinite, we try to fit all that needs to be achieved in one day and more often than not we put ourselves as the last priority on that list when in reality we need to be investing in our health and wellbeing to be the best version of ourselves for ourselves and for our families.
This is my 6 week journey....
Whilst breastfeeding on the couch I came across an ad on Facebook - Bodhi HQ 6 week challenge coupled with pics of fit, fabulous and happy looking ladies and I wanted to be like them!! This ad continued to pop up on my newsfeed as if to say 'Hello! remember you! Remember how you promised yourself that once you reached 6 months post partum that you would begin investing time into your own health and wellbeing?' Needless to say I nervously applied and within 24 hours I was booked in for a consult. That evening I sat down and reflected on what I wanted to achieve on this journey. What was the biggest hairyest ordacious goal I wanted to achieve? And the answer was: I want to improve my energy....I mean when you have a teenage son, a preschool daughter and a baby, sleep is that rare commodity I was referencing above! I was sluggish, tired all the time and pretty unhappy with how I felt in my clothes. My objective was simple 'To gain energy' and to do so, I knew I needed to reset, get back to basics, be realistic about my journey and surround myself with positive people. In the same breath I needed to ensure my ability to breastfeed my baby wasn't impacted and that I would find support in strength training post my emergency c-section. So after a little soul searching I decided to take the plunge. Those 6 weeks flew and I'm now 8 weeks on from the challenge and I can confidently say 'Objective achieved' Again I reflected on my journey and this is it in a nutshell - I'm lucky if I get 4 consecutive hours of sleep per night. That is my reality but with the training and clean eating I'm bouncing out of bed. I feel brighter. I feel more confident. I have an overall sense of achievement and the things I was cautious about....milk supply and my post op core.....well let's just say my son is extremely healthy, my milk supply hasn't been impacted and my core is so much stronger than it was prior to the challenge. The trainers offered alternative exercises to ensure I didn't sustain an injury and the results speak for themselves. Losing weight on this journey wasn't my priority but it happened. I'm 5kgs down and I have lost approximately 32cms across my body! 32cms!!!! I am gobsmacked at the results. Truely a bonus to how fabulous Im feeling and this is just the tip of the iceberg for me. All in all, there is no miracle pill. It comes down to you. Determination, good nutrition and a positive attitude. Thats all you need and the rest is ready and waiting! A brilliant team of trainees who show up each day, welcome you to your session with a smile and who above all want to see you succeed.
So what do I have to say to anyone considering the 6 week challenge?
Lean in! Feel the fear and do it anyway! You have nothing to loose and everything to gain! Success truely is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out and when you engage with the right mindset you will see the results. So with that said, I look forward to seeing your awesome self in the gym sometime soon!

I got in touch with the gym and came here after a period of laziness and a broken collarbone, still a bit fragile and healing. Julie the personal trainer was able to give me a range of brilliant exercises which got me moving again and things I can do at home or at the gym. This gym has been my second home for the last 6 months. The vibe is modern, strong, and unique, from the indoor decor to the murals to the incredibly welcoming feel of the place and the staff. The owner and trainer Marcus is ruthless during class (in a good way) but puts in solid effort to remember injuries and limitations so you are always being pushed to your best without harm. While he is the male owner of a women’s gym, the environment he creates is 100% professional, non-judgmental, and respectful. The other trainers are kind, warm, and in particular the HIIT and boxing classes have become a fast favorite. The resident dancer/boxer trainer Erana is always energetic and incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure absolutely everyone there feels like they belong, whether it’s their first day or their 300th (she also kicks your ass during her boxing classes, all with a smile on her face). If you’re looking for a gym where you can walk in, throw your stuff down anywhere, smash a hardcore workout and then have a laugh, this is it.

I attended most of Jo’s morning classes and she was amazing, she really motivates you and pushes you to really get the most out of each workout! my accountability coach was always willing to help, she’s available for a chat whenever you need her, and really kept me on track! I would have loved to stay on but I’ve got a busy summer ahead so will most likely return to BodiHq in the new year!

Really? I've never heard so much bull in my life. You must have a real warped sense of the world and too much free time on your hands.
The staff are lovely and the new owner is down to earth and progressive. The comment about grabbing women is complete slander & I do hope you know what slander is, because it's illegal. There are other gyms that you can attend all around auckland but you may be better off running on the pavement then complaining to the council that there are too many disruptive cracks on the concrete and sharp corners for your liking.
