We were lucky to be out in touch with Jim and Vicky after we had some disappointing engagement pictures taken by someone else. From our first meeting with Jim and Vicky they were kind and articulate about what they could do. On the day they arrived on time and blended in seamlessly, they were never in the way, just captured beautiful honest moments with our friends and family. We received a teaser of our pictures really quickly, a slideshow that made me cry happy tears within a few weeks and our full gallery promptly as well. There are so many beautiful moments and memories that these pictures have captured and we really really adore them. I can not recommend Pollard We Are highly enough. They will exceed your expectations every time.

Jim and Vicky. What a truly amazing A team! So sorry that it has taken me this long to write a review (only 3 years 😅). We were so very lucky to have Jim as our photographer on our special day back in November 2018. Jim and Vicky were actually initially booked out on our weekend but luckily their plans changed (thank you to the couple who cancelled!!). Months prior to our wedding, we did a little trip to Queenstown to check out some venues and during this trip Jim and Vicky took the time out of their busy schedule to meet with us. They answered alot of our little questions and instantly we knew that we were going to be in good hands. Throughout the whole planning process, Vicky was there making sure everything was running smoothly and recommended a few people who made our lives much easier as we weren't local (we're based in Sydney, Australia). Jim was professional, funny, easy going and super fun to work with and just amazing behind the camera. He captured all the right emotions of everyone on the day including my mother who cried in almost every single photo hahaha! Thank you Jim and Vicky for all that you've done. We never really had the chance to soak in everything on the day but every time we go through the photos and slideshow, we get to relive it again and again. Best investment ever 🙌 Thank you both for the precious memories and also capturing us at our best angles 😂

We can't thank Jim enough for capturing our wedding so beautifully. I think our jaws actually dropped when we saw the photos for the first time – they are 1000x better than we could have ever imagined. We also loved working with Vicky who was kind, patient and meticulous in her review of all of our photos and prints that we ordered from them. Positively incredible photographers and all around humans. Jim and Vicky both made it to our wedding and were there for all three days of events we planned - they captured the spirit of the entire weekend just beautifully - even though we didn't have mountains! Beyond having an incredible gift for photography - they also make you feel so comfortable, lighten the mood, and even provide advice on the day of and how to make it more manageable. Cannot recommend them enough - they were the best best choice we made from our entire selection of vendors hands down.

One word...FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!! We came across Pollards' work on Instagram and instantly, their work became one of our favs and we knew we had to book these guys!! And wow what an adventure it was!! We had the BEST time up in the mountains with Jim!! He did what he does best and our photos turned out better than we could imagine! Jim was an absolute legend on the day and we could not have asked for a better photographer! Not to mention, he's recently been listed within the 100 Best Photographers in the World 2018!!! As for Vicky, she's the most down to earth person and was incredibly helpful with the planning right from the beginning. Vicky is attentive, patient and super quick at responding to our 1million questions :P. We can't thank Jim and Vicky enough! Our big day was amazing, but Jim and Vicky made it absolutely magical!! What a memorable experience and we're so so so glad to have had Jim and Vicky on our special day!! 110% recommend these guys!!!!!!

Oh my goodness where to start! We did our research and Vicky and Jim were our top choice. Before we had even locked in Pollard We Are for our wedding day Vicky went above and beyond to accommodate us. She has an incredibly genuine skill for customer service that made our whole experience easy, enjoyable and pleasantly memorable. Being at other ends of the country was no problem, communication flowed effortlessly and through Vicky’s great admin/organisation skills everything fell into place perfectly. Besides a Skype date with Jim, the first time we met him was the day before our wedding. Jim was amazing to work with. We were massive fans of Jim’s work having followed him on social media and to have him photograph our wedding was a real honour for us. He gave us invaluable wedding tips not only in relation to the photos but other general things such as standing at the alter (relax your arms), walking down the aisle together (look at each other!), and enjoying the time away with the bridal party. Jim felt like a part of our team straight away. He was relaxed, funny, knowledgeable and friendly. Pollard We Are exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We received our wedding photos only a few short weeks after the wedding (not including the amazing post on Instagram the day after, what an amazing surprise). Jim’s storytelling skills through his photography left me speechless. It felt like we experienced the whole day all over again. He has an incredible ability to capture special moments that translate beautifully into images. We can’t recommend these guys highly enough and we are so so happy that both Jim and Vicky are a part of the memory of our amazing wedding day.

Vicki and Jim are treasures. They are the greatest wedding photographers in the world, without question. They shot our wedding in Manapouri, NZ in December (see photo), and knocked it out of the park. I cannot recommend them more highly. I wish I could give them 6 stars.

A few months ago I casually asked the award-winning / world-renowned wedding photographer Jim Pollard if he was available to come from New Zealand to Wylie, Texas to take photos of our wedding. I was shocked he said "Yes" before he was even sure where the frick Wylie was on a map! Jim spent more time in the air flying to/from NZ than he was on the ground here in Texas but he did it and we could not be more grateful. A truly amazing and talented human, artist, and consummate professional for which we are eternally thankful. And while it wasn't on top of a mountain in New Zealand he still made the whole thing look epic. He exceeded our every expectation... from his gentle direction during the weekend, to the ability to be more than one place at once, and then delivered a beautiful video that would make anyone cry, plus TONs of timeless photos. Eternally grateful.

Wow! Just wow! Jim captured our elopement and we are absolutely blown away with both the experience he and Vicky created for us as well as the stunning photos he took of our day. The whole process was so easy, from booking and planning, to the actual elopement, and I can't thank Jim and Vicky enough for everything they did. Everytime I look at our photos I'm transported back to our day. They invoke so much emotion and are just absolutely incredible.

Apologies in advance for the long review.. but Jim and Vicky deserve praise for their amazing work! After spending some time researching photographers for our New Zealand wedding, Pollard We Are were a clear standout. Before we had a venue or any other vendors for that matter, we really wanted Jim and Vicky to be part of our wedding and we valued choosing the photographer to be the most important decision when planning our wedding celebration. Jim’s work on his website and social media blew us away. Each couple clearly had different stories to tell and it appeared Jim understood and captured what they were about. Vicky (Jim’s wife) was incredibly helpful over emails with the many questions we had. They also organised a helicopter for photos after the wedding ceremony. We chose to have Vicky as a second photographer to capture shots with the wedding party during Canapés whilst we were in the helicopter with Jim and also the rest of the day (you might have some competition on your hands Jim)! Before the day, they gave some incredibly useful advice and we found it very beneficial to meet with Jim over a beer before the wedding to share with him a bit about us as a couple and also to learn more about Jim’s work. On the day, Jim and Vicky fitted in seamlessly with the wedding party and never did we feel uncomfortable with cameras in our face (we never even noticed them) which demonstrates how good they are at their work. The heli ride to the mountains was another great decision. Jim doesn’t plan a spot to land - we flew around the mountains until Jim noticed a great spot for photos... and he always endeavours to choose a new location that he hasn’t taken other couples to before! Only a couple of weeks after the wedding we received a slideshow accompanied with music that summarised our wedding from start to finish. It was incredibly emotional to watch and we knew that choosing Jim and Vicky as our photographers was the best decision we made. They captured such candid moments from the day and the images really showed raw emotion, celebration and everything in between. They didn’t miss a beat! Following the slideshow, we received the full suite of photos through a website link that can be easily downloaded and shared with family and friends. No matter where you are in the world and you’re currently planning your elopement or wedding, we highly recommend Pollard We Are. It’ll be the best decision you make!
