A great collection of camera's and accessories, this store has alot of variety for a small building. They also stock alot of 35mm film for the old enthusiast's like myself at very competitive prices. The staff are friendly and professional. A go to for future Kodak Gold 200 film.

*** UPDATE - 23/12/21 *** I've been contacted by Photogear Staff, and he explained why they didn't contact me, something related to my emails going to sales/wrong department, but I used the website form to reach them. Anyway, making a long story short. He asked me to visit the store again and he accepts to change my product, also gave me a discount on my product (I had to pay 75 and I with discount paid 50). Very satisfied, he was very kind and forthcoming, thanks photogear and thanks Josh! - 20/December/2021 - Really disappointed with the customer service, if they have some. Tried to change what I bought and no answers to my claim. Simple, No one cares about you after selling. DO NOT RECOMMENDED, buy by your own risk.

Fantastic experience shopping here. Stu gave me all his time to set me up with my camera gear. As a beginner he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with recommendations. Reasonable prices too! Thoroughly recommend them for all camera/lighting/photography equipment.

I had an amazing experience when I got in touch with Photogear recently to help with a broken gimbal. The repair team (I dealt with a lovely guy called Yong) were friendly, communicative, quick, and generous in dealing with what was a very simple battery issue. Within a few days my gimbal had been couriered back to me and all I paid for was shipping. Most notable though was the efficiency of the service...I would highly recommend them and even though I am i Wellington, I would not hestiate to send my gear to them if I need repairs in future. Thank you team!!

Bought a gopro lens and display protector online. The product had a factory issue, I contacted photogear by email and they gave me a solution immediately, next day I had a new protector at home and everything was perfect. These guys are locals for me. Their pricing is consistently sharp, with a good select of goods, and staff are always helpful. It also helps that they don't tend to be brand snobs or push certain agendas/gear that they like at all costs.

Amazing customer service! I ordered some audio gear. A lav mic and a recorder. I accidentally ordered a mic that wasn't compatible with the recorder. The guys at photogear caught the mistake and sent me an email before shipping the products out. They recommend me a better option for about the same price. I am so thankful they picked up on the mishap and saved me the trouble of getting it, having it not work, having to send it back, and order a new one. I highly recommend doing with business with this company 100% recommend. PS Thanks Keegan for lookin out!

Online ordering was a bit of a mess (some things are sent from suppliers and not in stock), but they got in touch and did their very best to sort it out. They will try to fix things that go wrong - which really is the best kind of trader. I'd have no reservations about dealing with again.

Went online to purchase high quality recording equipment for our radio station Raukawa FM and found Photogear to be excellent in their range of camera and recording products and superior in their customer service. Would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in buying from them. Finally, its the little things that make the difference so without asking we were given a discount and a nice bag to put our purchases in rather than just a plastic bag. Awesome!

Five star, it may seem like people are ignoring you at the start, but I think they're analysing everyway you look in the light and like a gazelle they don't want to scare you off. But as soon as you approach someone, they light up and become quite animated in their quest to go above and beyond in helping you. Nice shop has all sorts of gears for both Photo and Video shooters. You can comfortably try out the gimbals before you purchase, and Rental is available. It's real a one stop service shop, recommend to all.

They have expanded their store since it opened some years back.As i have bought a few items from them one packing mistake which they fixed up promptly.I find this store the best priced in Auckland.Helpful and knowledgeable staff.I just bought a camera suction mount for glass for three quarters cheaper than the imported one i bought. If you're looking for camera gear at a reasonable cost this is the place to be.

This is my best High End video camera equipment shopping experience ever. I went into the store, asked tons of questions, I believe a lot of the questions were stupid. However Jay(the person who serviced me) answered them one by one. He told me what I needed to know, not just trying to sell me some gear that I don't even know what they can do. I ended up spending less money than I expected to, and I got even better equipment !!!! Especially the Tilta should mount base plate, really an awesome piece of work. Thanks very much, Jay. Will definitely come back again ;)

Friendly and helpful staff but it's a small space which doesn't stock lots of products. You can order products in and even negotiate prices. There are studios for rent and they have a big section on drones. The staff are passionate about photography and are very active in events.

TLDR: Preordered item, paid full amount, was not there when I arrived, still got my item from another customer Full story: Great guys but weird business management:I pre-ordered a Mavic pro drone ($2500) and paid full amount weeks prior. I emailed them telling them I was on vacation and needed the item absolutely before a certain date. I got an email confirmation saying they received full payment, I answered back that I will be picking the item up on a specific date, they answered "no problem, the item is on hold for you". I arrived on that exact day and after 20min of waiting watching them try to find my item they came to me and apologise saying they sold the drone that they had put aside for me. I showed them the email where they acknowledge the date I was picking up the item and they realised they had made an error. It took an extra 20 minutes but eventually after 4 or 5 calls to different persons (probably manager) they gave me a drone that was put aside for another customer. They called the customer first to check if he was OK with that which he unbelievably answred yes (I think they offered him a memery card in exchange). So in the end, they came up with a solution and I did get my drone, but they should have never played with that kind of wager in the first place. Conclusion: I think they are still trustworthy but you better follow up if you decide to preorder, just to check everything is going accordingly to avoid any hassle.
