Staff refused to take a quick passport photo for my triple vaccinated daughter who needs a non-NZ passport photo this week to update her expired passport. Staff told her they don't take passport photos now because of mask mandates. There was no covid in our community and I think they could have found a way to take a quick photo. She has a mild disability and this was an important independent trip for her. They lost my future business. UPDATE: I had a responsive from owner (presumablyJonathan) that was very encouraging. I appreciate this! Changing stars to reflect owners apology and willingness to provide the service. Thanks.

Very friendly and helpful. Some of the gear can probably be found be a little cheaper online, but that depends on the specific Product. I was also offered to buy some 2nd Hand Equipment, which can be great when trying to save some Money.

Bloody magnificent service! I had a camera lens suffer a mechanical failure that was out of its warranty period but should have lasted many more years. Because I got it from a camera shop with helpful and knowledgeable staff (and not a chain retailer), the staff member recognised it as a rare manufacturers fault and rather then just saying, no sorry it is out of warranty, went to the trouble to send it away to check with the manufacturer who sent through a replacement lens for free. Thank you so much Jonathan's Photo Warehouse - 5 star service and excellent product knowledge!!

I bought a Panasonic S5 on finance from this particular store. I live in Queenstown so I had to deal with everything on the phone. It was a struggle as I needed to get the documents in before the Christmas sale ended and they were most helpful. I actually had a small problem with the camera. It had a dead pixel on the display (obviously not a Biggie but I was reading forum's and it can decrease the value of your camera, and I didn't want that with a new product) this was obviously a Panasonic issue. I sent the camera back to photo warehouse in Dunedin and spoke with Russel who was very understanding on the phone and extremely helpful. I was issued a new camera body fairly quickly and it was shipped back to me next day delivery. Thank you very much for a pleasant experience as I ventured into the mirror less camera market from just a Sony rx100m4. I'll be sure to pop in the store next time I'm in Dunedin.

My phone became too water damaged to fix, leaving me without many things one of which a camera. Having been stressed with this struggle and relying so much on my phone I was unsure of what I would be getting as a replacement. An expert gave me great advice, looked at some comparisons and made me feel really confident with my purchase. Charging it right now to go have some fun shooting. Was really helpful! I guess I talked to the manager and he was helping me. But whoever it was really nice and helpful. He had a lot of knowledge and I could touch and try the cameras. I could put my SD card in to compare photo quality of two cameras on my laptop. They had really good models. Jb Hifi etc has no clue and as well even not the cameras I was interested in. And I compared the prices to other stores. Even had good prices! Well done :)

Awesome place with everything you possibly can search for concerning photography. Incredibly friendly, helpful and competent staff. Got there with a little sensor spot on my a6500 and they removed it in a minute without even wanting money for it.

If some one want to print nice photos and a handy price, this is the right place. You need to simply bring the final copy in a flash drive and select for print options using one of the kiosks. Friendly staff always help if you stuck. Importantly I bought a nice Canon DSLR at a low price (I bet it's lower than the US price).

Everyone that works here go the extra mile to provide you with all that you need, whether you are a professional, a wannabe or just have a love of photography. These people know their stuff! Their customer service is superb. I highly recommend Johnathan's Photo Warehouse in Dunedin, I don't shop anyway else. Thank-you, for helping me with my dream guys.

One of those rare places where the staff seem very into what they sell, and have a deep knowledge of it. They have a huge selection of tripods, camera bags, and every brand of camera. They stock both digital compact and DSLR cameras, and have lots of lens options for DSLRs.
