Wanting a talented photographer is something you expect but what people don't tell you is that (besides your spouse) the photographers are the people you spend your entire wedding day with. It's important that they are fun, supportive and chill. Knowing when you need the extra hype and energy and when to give you some reassurance. Looking at The Official Photographers work you will see that they are overwhelmingly good at what they do but what I can't rave enough about is how incredible they are from the first email, on the big day, getting the sneak peek pics, to receiving the professional final package in the mail. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Shannon and Aaron. We cannot rate or recommend you more highly!

Hands down best photographers I could have wished for on my wedding day. If you are looking for a down to earth, super fun and professional photography couple then Shannon and Aaron are who you're after. These guys just truly get weddings and I cant stress enough how much that makes your day just go so smoothly. They know how to get through everything to keep you on time and also make it possible to have time to enjoy yourselves! Their communication through emails is amazing and you never feel like you're being a pain no matter how many questions you ask. Shannon has some great connections and is always up for giving you advice with other aspects of the wedding also. They scout the perfect locations and wow do they know how to work a landscape!! I'm talking vineyard shots, forest shots, glasshouse shots, rolling hills over a farm... they captured it all. The lighting they capture is insane, think warm glowing sun with the perfect amount of contrast and mood. They put you at ease and you don't feel like you are posing or uncomfortable and that is definitely conveyed in the work they produce. I received a sneak peak within a day and then received all my photos super quickly! Also in the cutest packaging their attention to detail just makes you feel so special. I could go on all day recommending these guys but to put it simply, they rock and you wont regret booking them in!

I spent a long time choosing photographers and I am very pleased I choose Aaron and Shannon for our wedding. If you are looking for a wedding photographer these guys are fantastic. When choosing whether to go with these guys or not they were more than happy to send me FULL albums to look at rather than just highlights with their best shots, which is very important, as you want to make sure that you are happy with the look and vibe of all the photos. They were communicative the whole time, with any thing I needed and had some great suggestions and tips for our day. The information around the packages they provided, was clear and easy to understand so you knew what you were getting on the day. We chose "the one" package where they were there all day, and did not leave before checking with us that we were happy for them to go. They made a trip up to scout out locations and meet me before the day, and go over the plans and what my vision was, and made note of specific things that we wanted covered and ensured we got photos of that. On the day, my husband and I both really enjoyed working with them, and they provided great guidance for the photos, as neither of us were all that used to posing in front of the camera. They both had great demeanor the whole day, and I'm not sure when they snuck in their food, as it felt like they were always there snapping a photo! Even when we suggested some last minute off the cuff ideas, they were willing to go along with it and got some great shots of us. We have had several guests comment on how professional and easy to work with they were, and that they enjoyed having their photos taken by them. Our highlights came very quickly and we received around 80 highlight photos which is pretty amazing considering that most send around 20. We received nearly 1400 photos from our day! which I thought was a phenomenal amount, and for ones where I have asked to have them edited a bit they have been happy to do this for me. Overall I would certainly recommend Aaron and Shannon as wedding photographers, they made us feel so relaxed and truly added to the joy on our day.

Hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Being Sydney-raised and based and needing photographers for an Indian-Western wedding, it was originally hard to know the full network of photographers in NZ for our Wellington-based wedding. Seeing the team's magnificent portfolio had me hooked and the entire experience was as if you had your best friends working with you to plan the day. They capture the essence of every emotion - the laughter, the love, the rituals, the micro moments in between and those sunset photos are to DIE for. Our friends have commented time and time again how our photos are easily the best they have seen and, looking back on them, we can't disagree. If I could give TWENTY stars (not just 5) we would. Simply the best.

My husband and I were blown away by the quality of photos from The Official Photographers. From the moment we booked everything was so well communicated. When it came to the Wedding day, Shannon and Aaron fitted in perfectly and you didn't even notice your photo being taken. The turn around for our photos was remarkable. I cannot rate Shannon highly enough, we recently enlisted her to take our family photos I’d been putting off for a long time due to feeling like it would be awkward or posed, within minutes of meeting Shannon we felt comfortable and knew we were in good hands, she was friendly and easy to chat with, patient and fun with our kids and by the end of our session I felt like I’d been hanging out with a good friend. We had our photos sent out in record time and I think I looked through them 50+ that day. Shannon has a true talent and her work is the results of natural fun moments that she seems to always be ready for. Shannon and Aaron have photographed all the big events in our life, from our engagement (hiking 4 hours up a mountain) our wedding day (in the pouring rain) a second wedding shoot (just so I could have my sunset shots) and now photos with our new born baby! Shannon and Aaron are the absolute best! They drove all the way up North to meet us the day before our wedding to scout locations, and nothing was too big of an ask. We had such a fun time on our wedding day being photographed by them (not an easy feat when we are definitely not “spotlight” or “photo” people). They made us feel so comfortable, like they were good friends with us already! Such a dream team. Our photos are absolutely incredible and more impressive than we could’ve ever dreamt! I got about 2 days ago and have looked at them so many times. I can’t believe the candid moments that they captured, small moments in time that I forgot happened until I saw the pictures and relived them. Their turn around was so fast. They sent us one photo the day after (which made us so excited!) and had our sneak peak less than 3 days after the event. Blown away. If you’re considering booking them, do not hesitate. What can I say. The Official Photographers were amazing. From our first contact with them to the end product, they were so helpful, professional and reliable. They literally helped make our day, the best day of our lives. The most impressive thing - would have to be their ability to make us feel at ease while they snap away. I don't even know where to start with these two! We met for beers as total strangers and 45 minutes into drinks remembered we were actually there to talk wedding. From that instant moment everything was a breeze. Aaron and Tash clicked in an instant - gym junkies from way back. Shannon and I were gushing about all things food and aesthetics. Our wedding was on Waiheke Island, so we needed to talk logistics. I am outrageously organised and so is Shannon so the two of us set schedules and worked seamlessly together. To be honest The Official Photographers team went above and beyond. They took us for an engagement shoot with our pooches two months before the wedding, met with us the week before, travelled to the island for three days and photographed us the day before and day off. The husband and wife couple walked into our life complete strangers but walked out great friends. They even hand delivered our beautiful usb and wooden box of photos to our door with giant smiles and a great hug. The photographs exceeded all our expectations and so did the service. When marriage finally becomes legal in Australia we will certainly have them back to photograph our wedding 2.0

We had such an amazing day and it was such a credit to these 2 awesome people. We met this couple while travelling the UK and loved there photos from day one. We got package one and also decided on an engagement shoot as well so we could get an idea of what our photos could look like. We wanted this process to be pretty relaxed and when it was pouring down with rain on the day of our engagement shoot, Shannon and Arron were more than happy to reschedule and we got to have some awesome sunrise photos over Whangamata and knew we made the right decision with wedding photographers. We met at the venue with them a week before the wedding so they could get an idea of the area and see what we liked and didn't like. They went through the online form with us and even sorted out the timeline for the day for us (which was bang on schedule on the big day). Aaron was a legend on the day. He told me he would do his thing for a bit and then just follow me around. He got on with all the lads really well so it just felt like having another mate with us. Shannon was really helpful with girls too and took all the bridesmaids bags to the venue with her as there we no room in the bridal car. What we loved the most about this team is that nothing felt formal or serious, they were laid back but incredibly organised which made the day flow really smoothly. We felt really comfortable around them both and the guests have come back to us saying how well the pair fitted in with the guests. We couldn't believe the amount of photos we got! Or how quick they were at getting them back. They sent us a couple we could share 2 days after the wedding and then a few days after that we got about 100 more to keep us going until we got the final set. Super happy we were the first wedding of their season as I know how busy you guys can get. The photos just seemed to get better and we had so much fun reliving the day. Their photos showed exactly how the day felt to us, chilled, fun and loving. We can't begin to thank you guys enough. You will need to clear your schedule for all the future life events we have so you can document them all. Your work just keeps getting better.

Photography was a really important part of our wedding and I'm so glad we chose The Official Photographers. From our first emails, Shannon was so bubbly and friendly and made us feel so much more excited for the day. Planning a wedding during COVID was extremely stressful but Shannon and Aaron were always there to help and support us. We knew before we even got engaged that The Official Photographers were the ones we would want there on our big day and we weren’t wrong. They were so responsive in the lead up to the wedding and very informative!! The turn around on the first few photos was insane! We were sitting on our honeymoon enjoying the first few pictures of our big day. The pictures? Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! It was so lovely to relive our amazing day and Shannon and Aaron captured it so effortlessly. While pregnant with Charlie I booked a mini shoot session with the Official Photographers and am so thankful I did. I was wanting some maternity photos taken that would capture my bump but also ones that would be a keepsake and snapshot in time for years to come. At 38 weeks pregnant, we met Shannon at Raglan with our Golden Retriever, Ryder. As the sun was beginning to set we walked along the beach chatting away to Shannon while she worked her magic behind the camera. Posing for photos was not our thing but she made us feel relaxed, or as relaxed as we could be while being the centre of attention. Once we received the gallery of photos we were absolutely blown away! They were so much more than I expected them to be. There were so many beautiful shots that it made deciding which ones to frame and put on the wall so hard to choose. We can not thank her enough for documenting such a special time in our lives through precious photos that we will truly cherish for ever.

My husband and I picked Shannon and Aaron (the Official Photographers) to photograph our wedding after admiring the wedding photos of a friend. We could not have been happier with the result! The Official Photographers were readily available via video call during the planning stages of our wedding as most of our planning occurred while we were living overseas. Once we arrived back in the country, they met with us in person and travelled to see some of the spots we had picked for our photos. No question was a silly question with these guys and they were so approachable and able to accommodate our requests. On the day of our wedding, it poured. A great couple with a great photography style! Aaron and Shannon did an amazing job of photographing our February 2015 wedding. They have a superb eye for detail and an ability to capture real love, humour and happiness on film. As people, Shannon and Aaron are who you want around on your wedding day. We are SO glad we chose The Official Photographers to capture our big day. Right from our first contact Shannon and Fay were such a delight to deal with, super friendly and helpful. Even though he isn't a big photo fan once he was in front of the camera he couldn't get enough! We cannot rate Shannon enough! She just fit right into our day! capturing such a roller coaster of emotions and the safe arrival of our baby girl. From her discrete placement of “items” to capture these special moments whilst keeping privacy in mind was a pleasant surprise and left us with images that we are more than happy to show our friends and family. We often thought with birth photography there possibly may be images that we would not feel comfortable showing others, but this was not the case at all. After first meeting with us a few weeks prior she understood our needs and due to her crafty eye and shots taken from different angles she was able to achieve so much more than we were expecting. When leanne and i decided to get birth photos done i was skeptical at first, but having had shannon take photos of us previously and knowing her eye and skill behind the lens i was sure the outcome would be amazing. During the birth i hardly noticed shannon was taking photos, but the shots that we were sent afterwards were sublime. For me personally, the birth of my child is an emotional blur, the specifics are all muddled up, and the little things seem to fade out of memory. Shan and Aaron really made our day. They made us feel relaxed and produced some pretty awesome photos of two generally awkward people. Shannon and Aaron picked us up from our Airbnb on time and we set out for an adventure shoot on Waiheke Island. I was blown away with how friendly and helpful they were. Shannon had messaged me prior with beautiful locations for photos so I could check out the scenery. We were able to explore the island, do a few wine tastings and even got some local pizza for the ride. They were very knowledgeable and helped us feel at ease and so comfortable during the photo sessions. I cannot even come close to describing how amazing these two are. Not only did Shannon and Aaron make everyone feel so relaxed but they laughed with us and had fun, all while taking amazing photos.
