We had a fantastic experience with The Woods Photography. Brad took beautiful photographs of our family and made us feel really relaxed during the photoshoot. It only took a couple of days for our photos to be edited by Clouds and we couldn't be happier with the final result! Thank you so much!

We are so thankful that we chose the Woods photography for our wedding. Initially we chose them because we were taken by how their photos capture the ‘feel’ of the day, however our end result far exceeded our expectations. On the day Brad was excellent at capturing the bridal and groom parties getting ready without us noticing half the time. As the day progressed we were able to just enjoy ourselves as they unfolded with Brad quietly capturing each special moment. Brad worked in so well with all the other vendors and the pre-planning meant our day was perfect. Brad's pictures were more than a dream come true, and he's also an amazing person. Both my now husband and I live abroad, so when we went home to Nelson for the Christmas holidays last year, Brad met with us for a coffee and a chat about the big day. Then this year we met again before the wedding for the last minute details. During the whole time abroad he was always very responsive to emails and questions coming from our side, we felt very supported along the way. During the day he was incredible, he made the pictures be a great experience instead of a chore. During our drive to the places we had the pictures at, we also had some nice laughs over my husband, the best man and Brad's shared experiences at Nelson boys! :) We received the pictures quite fast and they are AMAZING. Brad's photographic eye and technique is more than wonderful! He was able to portray how happy we felt to perfection. We had our doubts looking for wedding photographers...we are not a centre of attention couple, we do shy away from photos, we were nervous on the day, we never thought photos of us would be that great. WOW did Brad and Clouds deliver...if you are questioning asking them DO IT..it will be a decision you will be thankful for forever. We had a coffee with them the day before our wedding but apart from that had never meet them. They were both exceptionally helpful, friendly and calming influences, photos are adorable, they captured so many moments/things I completely missed on the day, our guests loved them and they were completely at ease with our closest family and friends. They travelled to Wanaka for us and were still very well priced. We got oodles of photos (each one in colour and monochrome) and in only 3wks after our wedding. Anyone who has met Brad & Clouds knows what a privilege it is to have them share in the joy of your day. If you are considering asking these two wonderful people and talented photographic duo to be a part of your event we cannot recommend them highly enough. It was the best decision we made and we look forward to another family event so we can invite them along to hang with us for a day!!

Brad travelled to the West Coast to shoot our Wedding at the end of January. What an amazing guy and cannot recommend him more highly! He clearly has a genuine love for what he does which is evident in the photos he has taken. I love that Brad captured the candid photos of our day which is what I was looking for in a wedding photographer. Wow! The Woods Photography captured our special day and made it look so easy. Brad was easy-going and just fit right in. Throughout the whole process of booking them in and asking multiple unrelated wedding questions, to the day and getting the photos back, Brad was very helpful and nothing was too much of an issue. I recently had a shoot with Brad capturing my 7 month old son and I. In the lead up to the shoot, I had great communication with Brad and he was very accommodating. It is hard to describe how incredible Brad and Clouds were on our wedding day in January and I would say 5 stars is not enough! From the outset of first skyping Brad, to the actual week of communication was incredible. On the actual day Brad and Clouds were so fun to work with, they both worked around my husbands dislike of photos, making us both feel comfortable. The photos are absolutely incredible and capture the day so perfectly, looking back through them is just like reliving the day and every little moment has been caught. Brad was an absolute pleasure to have as our wedding photographer! He is extremely friendly, relaxed, and professional. All of our guests kept mentioning how great he was (and this was before they had even seen the amazing photos he had taken)! Brad was incredible - we were initially drawn to his style since his portfolio showed a strong capturing of the crowd, emotional moments, and the details that really make a wedding special. When our day arrived, he came through for us so strong and really blew us away. He captured all of the subtle moments that were special to us, and lots that we weren't even aware of on the day. An epic dance floor was a top priority for us, and he got that and captured so many great dance moments and even edited them for extra disco flare (which was part of our wedding theme). There were so many countless personal touches and examples of going above and beyond I can't even list all of them here. Brad and Claudia Wood were so much more than I ever could have hoped for in wedding photographers! Highly professional, super friendly and almost invisible on the day, ghosting around capturing beautiful candid pictures that we treasure. They worked amazingly well with a notoriously stubborn 4 year old flower girl, managing to coax some beautiful portraits, big smiles and family shots. Our portraits were a dream! Absolutely speechless!!! We were fortunate enough to have the Woods capture our crazy day in August 2017, and we cannot thank them enough for the amazing job they did! Not only are they unbelievably talented and lovely to deal with, they were so incredibly thoughtful and they made our day even more special by giving us a selection of polaroid’s from the day at our wedding reception, as well as sending us a slideshow the very next day to give us a taster of what was to come. For Lindsay and I it was a very unnatural concept to be in front of a camera all day, but with their relaxed and fun approach we didn’t even notice them furiously snapping away!! The photos have seriously blown our minds … they are so beautiful, relaxed and fun and have perfectly captured what our day was all about! You have given us the most wonderful memories to treasure. Our only problem is trying to pick the best ones for our album as we just have far too many favourites!!! Clouds couldn’t make it to our wedding as they had a brand new baby, but the second shooter, Petra, was amazing and her and Brad made a great team! The Woods took our wedding photos about 18 months ago, in Wellington. They did the BEST job. Brad and Claudia were a lot of fun, and made having lots of photos taken seem like the most natural thing. They just fitted right in on the day and snapped away - lots of the time we didn't even notice them and it was a lovely surprise to look through the photos and see how many moments they had captured! Now, more than a year later, I am looking through them again and it really feels like I'm living the day again. The photos are so so so great :-) Something else we really appreciated was that they came to the venue the day before and scoped out some really cool places to take photos that we hadn't thought of. Then on the day, when it was really windy and pretty cold, they managed to take heaps of cool photos without it taking too long at all. THANK YOU, the Woods.

The Woods shot our wedding on the Tutukaka coast in 2014 and we were ridiculously thrilled with the work they did. The Woods are the perfect combination of hard working, artistic, and super fun. They have a knack for making even the most camera-shy person feel relaxed, and family photos were smooth sailing (quite a feat). They are full of ideas and energy without being even vaguely intrusive. For the most part we hardly noticed our photo being taken, and were amazed at the quality and quantity of the images when we received them. I cannot recommend these two enough, reliving the day through their photos is such a joy!

We used Brad and Clouds for our wedding photographs, we saw their photos online and were immediately enamoured. I am sure we saw others, but none had that indescribable quality theirs had. On the day they were amazing, kind, creative, and most importantly invisible when needed. They moved about, capturing special moments we thought we were alone for and crafting moments that just look unbelievable. There are things they can imitate that others can’t, the benefit of being a married couple themselves. They filled our day with surprises and treasures, and as some point I realised the quality they provided. Somehow their photos look nostalgic, like they are already a fond memory the moment they are taken. They don’t simply capture the moment, they capture the memory, and that is so much more beautiful. Anyone can photograph a wedding, it takes special people to capture a memory. As our night went on we got compliments on how great our photographers were, before anyone had seen a single photo… That’s just the kind of people they are. They delivered the photos insanely quickly and they are just perfect. Perfect feels like an understatement. They capture the day better than my own mind did. They show the day with all its magic. The show the day with all its nostalgia. They show the day the way I already wanted to remember it, but was unable to alone. They captured our memories, so we can look back on them for the rest of our lives, and all we had to do was focus on get married. If you’re get married, there is no other option in my mind, use the woods photography.

AMAZING!! We don't even know where to start with these guys, they are absolutely wonderful people and photographers and we could not recommend them more highly. Not only did they make us feel comfortable and relaxed for the whole day, but we had so much fun and shared laughter. I actually couldn't imagine our day without them. So many of our guests asked after them and commented about how professional, kind and just down right awesome they were. As others have commented, they have an ability to see and capture some incredible moments. We had absolutely no idea where we wanted our photos and after changing our minds the night before, they scouted out some amazing places that were exactly what we were hoping for - nothing was a problem for them. It was amazing to have them there for the whole day and the photos really capture everything from the beginning to end. It was also such an advantage having two photographers - getting different perspectives throughout the day, especially the long shots and close ups at the ceremony was such a bonus. We have just received our photos (before expected) and are blown away (I don't know how you guys made us look so good but THANK YOU!). Hands down the best decision to work with these two lovely people!
