I recently commissioned Tania to produce a professional headshot. She was able to accommodate this very short notice with an after hours shoot. She created a very relaxed atmosphere during the shoot which made it a very pleasant experience despite me being quite camera shy. Tania produced some very good proof photos to choose from that my entire family liked. Post shoot she quickly completed the final photo editing of the chosen image. I would definitely engage her again and thank her for her professionalism and good work.

Tania Niwa provided us with a stunning high quality set of professional headshots and matching full length shot for one of our North Island based team members of Crisp Apple Web Design. With Amy being based in New Plymouth, and the rest of our crew dotted around the South Island. We initially had our talented local photographer capture the main team photos, however we also required matching professional headshots AND the tricky task of capturing x2 full length shots, that were to photoshopped into our South Island team photos. Everything was organised proficiently over email, from scouting locations that matched our original brick backgrounds and a very similar dark navy wall to match our existing team photo, right down to assisting Amy with best clothing to wear on the day. The outcome was a beautiful set of quality headshots and x2 full length photos we were able to seamlessly photoshop into two of our existing team photographs. Tania was extremely thorough, helpful and enthusiastic about the project. With a very fast turnaround time on the final images. She went above and beyond. Both Amy and I highly recommend Tania Niwa as your photographer of choice in the Taranaki area. Thanks so much for a top job!

We worked with Tania to create some professional commercial product shots in her city studio. Great lady to work with - very accommodating, professional & fun to work with! I would unreservedly recommend her Tania. I recently had sessions with her for both corporate headshots and for a family photo shoot and both were fantastic experiences with really great results. In the past I have had professional photography sessions that have been uncomfortable and awkward, resulting in photos I was disappointed with. Working with Tania was an entirely different experience. It was enjoyable and she had an ability to get all of us to relax and show our natural selves. The photos are authentic and beautiful. I have found head shots particularly difficult to sit for in the past but Tania made it easy to trust her, allowing my personality come through in the photos. For the first time ever I am happy to use my headshots. I was impressed by the time and effort Tania put into the images afterwards as well. She worked with us to understand what we were we looking for, making great suggestions (always sensitively!) for improvements and touch ups as required. Tania Niwa has an innate eye for detail and works extremely hard to make sure each and every photo she delivers is brilliant. One of rarest things about Tania Niwa is that she can capture more than an image. Her photos speak a thousand words and she is incredibly empathetic, which is why her photos hold so much emotion! I chose to work with Tania Niwa because she has the essence of what Maoridom is. She powers mana and wairua into her work and that's something so very unique in my opinion. Her father shares a similar story of losing a parent when he was a child, just as my son, Leighton lost his dad - my partner Alekh. After losing Alekh I felt compelled to capture a series of special moments between my son and I, in a cultural kind of way as I am Maori and my partner was Nepali Not only did Tania achieve such a goal, she became a part of my healing and one of our whanau. She has become a close friend and whanau member. I highly recommend her, regardless of the occasion, event, or theme! She is highly professional, is a rare talent, is personal, and gives you full confidence to be photographed, especially for people like me who can at times be camera shy. “ A gift’s value can only be measured with the heart and family is often the closest thing to the heart. Using this knowledge I planned on giving my partner a gift that would become a true taonga (prized treasure). I have always enjoyed hearing stories, of times past, being triggered by photographs. These moments in time captured on film often trigger memories that otherwise would be long forgotten so it appeared obvious that I needed to give a gift of this magnitude. Having lost my parents, with only one decent photo of dad and none of my mum, I knew that I could not allow my partner the same misfortune. The gift to give was to be images of her parents that would ignite memories in the many years to come. Using Tania Niwa was an easy decision as I have known her for a couple of years and have often found myself admiring her work. She brought a relaxed feel to the shoot. The excitement Tania showed during the shoot was contagious and all involved enjoyed the process. Even the most reluctant of participants found themselves smiling throughout the shoot. Images were taken on the family farm at locations that were special to those involved. The outcome of this project has captured Melva and Jim in a way that shows who they are, what they are, and where they are. It captures a passion for the land, a passion for the lifestyle, and a passion for one another. For myself I think the outcome has produced a taonga that shall forever be treasured by my partner. The photo’s capture so much more than I imagined was possible in such a short time frame. The value of these images is immeasurable for those that will receive these photos.
