Chay at Fluro Grey far exceeded our expectations. We planned our wedding from overseas, and Chay made us feel extremely comfortable through the planning process by helping with our timeline and suggesting colors that would make for excellent pictures. He came to our site a day early to meet us and was beyond perfect the day of our wedding. He was relaxed and his directions only made us more comfortable. We got several gorgeous pictures after the wedding and just received our final album. Our entire family could not be happier with the outcome. Chay was our wedding photographer and he was incredible. Leading up to a wedding is a stressful time and Chay was always very calm but also very organised and clear about what needed to be done. We were based in Sydney and Chay was very accommodating by chatting by Skype or emailing, and even though we were in different countries the planning stage went smoothly. On the day of our wedding Chay turned up first thing after already having scoped out some great spots for the portraits. He efficiently and creatively took shots while we got ready and throughout the ceremony and reception. Chay has such a lovely and easy going nature, making for the perfect person to have capturing such a special day. A number of our guests commented on how lovely he was - especially a few who had been to a recent wedding where the photographer shouted orders at the guests... The outcome of Chay's work was incredible! He has an amazing eye and captured the most beautiful shots of our wedding. We loved his work and are so happy he was our photographer. I also had a couple of friends say that our wedding photos were the best they had seen - including one of the bridesmaids who's sister was married the week before ours. Finally, the quality of the album is outstanding and we loved the handmade box containing the USB and a selection of photos. We can't recommend Chay enough for his beautiful photography, presence and personality.

Chanced upon Chay’s photography services as I wanted to get a casual pre-wedding shoot done in New Zealand. Best decision ever! Chay was professional (he came a day early to the location to scout for nice / secluded spots and he says he always drives a 4WD so his clients can get to these secret spots without walking much), you could tell he knew what he was doing. My husband and I got married at the Hobbiton Movie Set in May and Chay from Fluro Grey was our wedding photographer. The whole experience with Chay, from when I first inquired about wedding photography, to when we received our photos, was flawless and we couldn’t have chosen a better person for such an important part of our wedding day. I planned our New Zealand wedding from Australia and booked our photography quite early in the planning but Chay was always a quick email away if I had any questions or concerns. He was even happy to send me recommendations for other wedding vendors in NZ and we had hair and make up done by Lipstick and Co as recommended by Chay. My husband and I flew out to NZ about a week before our big day, and Chay travelled to our venue to be there for our rehearsal, to meet with us and scope out a few locations for our photos. On the day, Chay was with us from early in the morning, capturing moments of us getting ready, through to our reception. He had a wonderful nature about him, being very organised and in control, while also being relaxed, making us feel very comfortable, and stress free. During our photo shoot on the Hobbiton Movie Set, Chay was able to move about quickly with us, making sure we captured every photo we wanted, with the perfect lighting, while not feeling rushed. I have no words for how perfect all our photos were, and we also received some prints in a beautiful timber box along with a USB stick to treasure our photos forever. I’ve received so many compliments from friends and family as to how perfect our photos are. If anyone needs a photographer in NZ, Fluro Grey is the one!

My fiancé Ryan and I worked with Chay for an engagement photoshoot while visiting New Zealand from the States. In the weeks leading up to the shoot, Chay helped us understand our options for shoot locations. With so many beautiful landscapes to choose from, all that we had never seen with our own eyes, we had a hard time choosing! We even changed our minds a few times, but through it all, Chay was incredibly patient, flexible and helpful. On the day of the shoot, we had a good time getting to know Chay over brunch before heading off to explore some unbelievable locations. What we could have never anticipated was that in addition to some incredible photos, we got the chance to explore some amazing places that we would have never discovered on our own. Chay played good music and kept things relaxed, and really went above and beyond with all the time he spent and all the hiking we did to get the right shots! I was blown away with how many diverse landscapes we were able to explore and capture, and the photos are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. If the Pacific Ocean were smaller, I'd work with Chay again and again for all of our photography needs! Can't recommend him enough!

Chay was amazing on both our engagement shoot and Wedding day. He has a natural charm and chats like a old friend as well as casual approach to taking photographs which really helped me and my husband relax throughout it all. He also went above and beyond for our bride & groom shoot in front of a waterfall. There were multiple swimmers in the background that refused to move, so Chay spent hours photoshopping them out and they look amazing like no one was there at all! -really made our dreams a reality with those particular shots. We engaged Chay for our pre-wedding photoshooting. Chay drive us along to scenic location such as Moke lake, Arrowtown and Skipper Canyon. The photoshooting session was fun with Chay and he spend almost half a day with us from lunch time to evening to catch the sunset. The photos came out really great. Chay and Scott put in 110% to making our day the best it possibly could have been. They stayed for the full 8 hours with 2 cameras in hand each. Every moment of the day was captured with the highest photography standards. All of our photos are amazing, not only that but the service dedicated to touch ups, scouting photo spots, planning our days itinerary and so much more. The products overall are the best I have seen available anywhere, I love the USB backup for everything in an amazing handmade box, cant wait for our album to come together.
