Highly recommend Angela! We did a Newborn Art session for our 2 weeks old baby girl. For the first 45 mins of the session, the baby wouldn’t go to sleep at all and we thought we might have to postpone the session, but Angela was very patient with us and after trying different things, the baby dozed off and she was able to capture immensely beautiful pictures. Angela Vidal is an exceptional newborn photographer. We had a shoot with her for our precious wee babe when she was 2 weeks old and on the precipice of becoming too alert to get those gorgeous sleepy newborn shots. Angela's contact and communication from the outset was fantastic - She was clear around process and we were given very specific instructions to prepare bub before the session to get the best possible outcome. As a result our bub played ball wonderfully for the entire shoot and the photos that Angela took were so beautiful that we had trouble picking our favourites. Angela is a professional and takes the care of baby very seriously which was top of the shopping list for us. It is one thing to be able to snap a cute shot of a bub, and entirely another to consider the serious nature of their safety and wellbeing. We felt completely at ease with our brand new babe in her hands. If your reading this then you are considering choosing a skilled maternity/newborn photographer. I will make this easy for you as I have done most of the research work already. Angela is one of Wellington's best photographers in this niche and consistently so. This is important especially if you want to guarantee that your photos will come out just as great as those in the online portfolios. Angela allowed me to visit her studio prior to my session just to get more of a feel of her style and wardrobe (as she also helps set up the mum's wardrobe and any siblings on request). She also works with a hair and makeup stylist for the mum's who are too tired or want that extra special touch. This is especially important as most mothers are struggling with sleep in the first few weeks post delivery. She was very open to any ideas, style and poses I was wanting. The experience during the shoot was amazing. She is so good with kids (she has 2 of her own little darlings). She was still able to get a shot of my newborn with my hyper toddler who just wanted chocolate haha!!! That is skill! Not to mention her gentleness with the baby. How she was able to pose him and keep him peaceful was nothing short of a miracle. And the photos!!! OMG was my reaction when I went to view the photos! My jaw dropped! They are ALL so beautiful!!! I can not be more pleased to have this collection of family/newborn photos to look back on :) <3 Thanks to Angela, these moments will forever be saved. We definitely plan to return back for milestone photos :)
