Central Lakes Physio is an excellent service. I've been having regular physio appointments with Rachel Bridgewater for six months. She is fantastic. She is clearly passionate about her work. She's thorough and really considers what is important to an individual patient. She treats her patients with respect and patience, explaining problems and how treatment will help. Everything is organised very well and Gill, the practice manager, adds fantastic character to the place and a smile to anyone who walks in. I'd recommend Central Lakes to anyone and I'll be coming back with any further problems

Wonderful Pilates classes which are so good for my balance. Lots of fun with professional instructors who are friendly, positive and encouraging. Definitely recommend it, it's one class I always try to attend.

Over the past 5 years I have had multiple injuries and Central Lakes Physio has always been there to help me get better. I have used their concussion services, physio's and more recently I completed the 6 weeks Pilates class. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend seeing Vicky Hill, she is extremely knowledgeable and also educated me how to prevent my injuries in the future.

I have had the privilege of not only being a regular member of Vicky's Studio Pilates class but also a client of her magic hands. V icky may be slight in stature but don't let her size fool you! She has the power of a sumo wrestler in those arms and hands providing the ability to deliver "good healing pain". Vicky possesses a delightful sense of humour, a caring and concerned personality and a very highly skilled professional approach to all her clients. I have also experienced Pilates classes taken by other very qualified members of the Central Lakes Pilates team and been equally impressed by their professional approach. The cherry welcome of Jill and Frances at the reception desk completes an enjoyable experience that I highly recommend.

I have seen Catherine Lyness in the past (from Central Lakes Physio) and she was awesome!! Highly recommend - I had runners knee come on a few weeks out from a big trail race and Catherine got me in shape to complete the run. Recently I tore my calf muscle playing touch rugby (yes I am getting older). Catherine wasn't available however I was put onto Vicky who owns Central Lakes Physio. She has been awesome in diagnosing the issue and working with me to get my calf back up and running. In a short period of time I was back into some light jogging. When I first injured my calf Central Lakes Physio provided me with crutches at no cost. I had them for 1 week and was never chased up about returning them. Vic has been great and the team there are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend again after my second experience!

Central Lakes Physio has been my place of choice since I first moved to Wanaka in 2011. It’s warm caring vibe as soon as you walk through the door, up to date knowledgeable and passionate staff and all the required facilities on hand,with my long standing injuries making me a regular patient, I can highly recommend them. I have on-going physio due to a high maintenance injury 20 years ago- meaning I have had many physiotherapists throughout the years and Vicky and her team are my top pick! So much so, I will be returning to Wanaka 2017 after a serious foot/ ankle surgery mainly due to wanting Catherine at Central Lakes Physio to be my neuro physiotherapist for intense 6month+ of physio.

I attended the Pilates with Vicky. The whole experience was fabulous, from the ladies at reception to using the facilities to change and Vicky's preparation with having the class set out for us. The instructions and content of the session was clear, straight forward and easy to follow. Back ground information given on the various exercises and muscle groups that were being focused on. Overall very professional, friendly, results were achieved and I would recommend Central Lakes Physio and Pilates to anyone.

The acupuncture services that are offered has aided in my speedy recovery from injuries many times. I first started going to Central Lake Physio August or September 2015. I have always had a dodgy back following a operation in the early 90's, while the op was successful as I got older the muscles in my back never seemed to be the same, any long standing or physical activity like skiing, motorbike riding, snowmobiling etc would always cause it to flare up to the point where sometimes I was unable to walk. To get relief I took lots of anti flam and pain relief tablets. I live an active lifestyle as well as having a physically demanding business so my health is extremely important to not just my well being but also my income. Through a few physio sessions with Vicki who recommended Pilates which I have been going to for 11 months now, I am able to self manage my back and yes I still have bad back days but am very well equipped in knowledge of what to do to get a quick recovery thanks to the great team at Central Lakes Physio. Pilates can be underestimated and takes time to get it but if done properly with good instructors who teach good understanding of body awareness providing a tool that can be used every day help with strength, flexibility and a general feeling of good health. For me the real key to my back was stretching, becoming more supple and flexible and building my core strength and when they say less is more, slower is harder - IT'S TRUE! Pilates is a lifestyle for me now I enjoy the Studio Class twice a week and continue to learn more each time I go!

I have been going to Central Lakes Physio and Pilates for over a year now and its the best thing I've done for my body [and mind]. The team there are all very professional and know what they're talking about re your body. I've had lots of problems over the years with my back etc and finally I feel I'm making progress and won't be a cripple by the time I'm 60 !! Plus, its nice to attend a place that is full of professional woman starting from the front door where Gill greets you with her big smile, to the physios and pilates instructors who just know what the're doing !! Called in for help on my legs (just did a ton of damage via a leg workout and then three trails w/Roy’s peak being the one the did me in) and had an appointment with Lauren. I’ve been experienced with lots of modalities before but she hit me with the dry needling. As painful as it was, I knew it was going to do me well. She was very pleasant to talk to and walked me through every stage in the first session. Booked a second one for a little upper body adjustment and got Lauren again. I noticed an immediate improvement in my upper traps, neck, and left shoulder mobility after the treatment. If I was living or visiting Wanaka and needed a small tune up to feel fresh and good, I’d definitely hit up Central Lakes Physio for results.

I was given full programmes which are easy to follow and use and gave me help for in the work place and at home. I attend a Pilates class every Tuesday, at the end of which I feel just great. I have been going to these classes for over two and a half years. With classes of 4 maximum each of us get personalised attention from Vicki Hill. Each person has their own programme according to what they are wanting to achieve and this is modified as and if required. I have benefitted enormously from Pilates and would not want to give it up because I would lose everything I have gained. It has helped me hugely in combatting the steady onset of osteo-arthritis particularly in my feet, knees, shoulders, wrists and hands and I know I would be in a more poorer state had I not taken up Pilates. As well as being extremely professional in all respects Vicki has a warm and welcoming nature and makes the classes an enjoyable occasion. We have a lot of laughs and often we all say how quickly the hour has gone by because she makes the hard work a fun time. She monitors each of us very carefully at all times and corrects any incorrect performance plus always understanding how each of us is feeling. The Pilates / gym is wonderfully well equipped and set out which allows a wide range of exercises to be carried out. Overall it is a very pleasant place to be. I am in my 70s and Pilates has made a huge difference to my physical and mental state of well being and I cannot imagine life without it. Indeed I know that I must continue attending into the future.

Absolutely love your whole approach to physiotherapy from consultation, treatment and rehabilitation to communication and care. Your therapists don't just treat a symptom but investigate the cause of an injury or movement issue and will look back into a problem's history for any red flags or indicators. It is obvious that biodynamics of the body is paramount in your physio philosophy and for someone like me who wants to remain active for many years to come, this is the one thing that sets you apart from other clinics. With encompassing physio treatment and pilates instruction under the one roof, I know I am well taken care of at Central Lakes Physio and Pilates.

Good length of appointments and range of treatment options get right to the issue and sort it out. Also, since I've been doing the core classes my ability to regularly injure seems to have been dramatically reduced so their concept of prevention first seems to be working
