All good. I telephoned them at 9:00AM and talked to a young woman named Megan. A guy who organizes the jobs called back at 9:30AM and said a worker would arrive just before or just after lunch. The workman, David, arrived just after lunch. He worked solidly for several hours, in consultation with me. He explained my options and he asked if I was sure when I asked for things that would cost more. He carefully doubled-checked some instructoins I had given him before doing some things. Everything went smoothly. Job completed that afternoon. Bill arrived by email exactly one week later. I paid it online the same day. I have used them before, and I will happily use them again.

Really good experience with Foley's from first contact through to invoicing. The job was small but professionalism still came through and yes, they took their boots off when they came into the house! Will use Foley's again when we do our major bathroom refit. Definitely recommended.

I've been using Foleys for plumbing services for around two decades, and have also been using their electrical services since I realised they provided this as well. I've never had any problems with either side of the business. Their staff are always great, friendly, and very helpful, including those undertaking the jobs, plus those who answer the phone in the office. Definitely recommend these guys for plumbing or electrical work within the Dunedin area.

Our family was suddenly without hot water and knowing that both gas cylinders were full. This happened over the holiday season and Foleys responded on the day the phone call was made. A trip switch to the unit power was found.....grandchildren had been very active in the bedroom....nobody in the house knew this switch existed. Well done Foleys....great problem solving.

Good quick service as usual. It's a pity I had not noticed the leak before now since it was done in 2019. It would not have migrated as far as it has into the woodwork. Thank you for the onsite visit from your two staff to inspect the damage. I have yet to see the builder of the kitchen unit to assess if the repair is possible. I will let you know in due course.

I was beyond impressed by the Foley's team. I had an emergency on Friday night around 9pm when the macerator pump in my flat broke and there were terrible things rising up in the shower. I rang and got through to the loveliest plumber from Foley's who was at my house within 20 minutes and he promptly sorted the issue. It was the biggest relief and I'm extremely grateful! The operative was punctual and polite. Our toilet problem was fixed straightaway. Our other problem (low water pressure) was not so smooth. The operative asked us to contact the city council to ascertain whether there was a leak on their side of the boundary. When the council operative came the next day it took him less than 10 minutes to determine that the problem was on our side of the boundary AND to locate where the leak was. I felt that the Foleys operative should have been able to do the same.

Based on a google search in Dunedin, Visiting my mum and her advising of a concern with her kitchen tap. The Team at foley were fantastic, I was only in for 24hours after explaining the situation they accommodated an appointment and we’re on time to the said appointment , I was running 5 mins late , the technician had already arrived and called to confirm his arrival. After assessing and advising to best replace both tap seals and taps the job was completed and the professionalism of the young technician was impressive. I was very impressed around foleys providing a job to young man from SA , and this young guy returning the trust and representing foleys as a very proud and thankful. The job was completed successfully. The whole experience and engagement was fantastic. I have no hesitation in recommending foleys as the go to for any electrical or plumbing requirements. I called them on a Tuesday morning to have a look at my hot water cylinder which looked like it was on its last legs and they managed to get someone to my house by 10am to confirm that my cylinder was buggered. Thinking that would be the case I had looked at their website and found a bunch of information to assist in whether to convert to gas or stick with a cylinder. I opted for gas and it was all installed by 3pm the next day!! So so grateful to the team for helping me out. Have had two experiences with Foleys, and were both very positive. First job was some plumbing work with hot water cylinder. Work was done professionally and worksite left very tidy. They even came back at no charge to make some adjustments to some of the piping that developed a leak. Have also used Foleys for electrical work, and the job was booked and completed in the same day. I found the rates reasonable, especially compared to other local tradesmen. Would recommend Foleys for domestic work

Although I arranged to meet the plumber, Nick, to initially look at the problem he immediately identified the issue used his initiative and got straight on to it before I arrived, fixed it & restored the access hole really well, so no wasting time. Also I asked him to look at a dishwasher hose so he again did the right thing and replaced it without fuss. Top drawer service. Would I get Foleys again, yes.

Foleys replaced the sump pump at my investment property in St Kilda, where there is flooding when it rains, on a day when there had been rain and there was flooding on the driveway. They responded quickly to the task. Communication was good dealing with them and i was able to pay the account online.

A small leaking inside chimney when heavy raining with strong wind, so I called Foley to send someone have a look and fix it. The guy came and thought he fixed, but next day same place something happened. Second time when he came, he was sure the possible place that rain gets into the chimney. Just few days later, the same place leaked again, I called Foley, they sent the same guy again, I don't know whether he completely fixed my problem or not, guess I will find out when it's a raining day. At the end what I get is a $567 bill for the job which still has not sure fixed the problem yet!!!! Thanks for your reply. I told the plumber very clearly the leak is between the chimney flashing and flue, the water was coming down from inner side of flashing wall, and I also told him direction is the east side of the flashing. I appreciated that he found tile broken and sealed it for me, but 3 times visiting, for first 2 times he replaced some unnecessary things and still could not seal the leakage between flashing and flue, that is how you call professional. Definitely the price is very professional for sure. Finally last week, someone from Foleys called me, and promised a six months guarantee if the same place leak again, they will send someone to fix it without any charge.

Callout 0200 Saturday morning. Excellent service, arriving within 30 mins.of my calling. The problem was promptly identified and sorted. The attending plumber was very polite, professional and so good natured considering the unsocial hour.

Took three staff trips, with three different to get the blown fuse and the element on the hot water cylinder fixed. When I rang to say that the water wasn't heating yet but the fuse they hadn't replaced was getting very hot I was put onto a very patronising male. I ended up giving the phone to my husband due to not being listened too. My female tenant described one of their serviceman as rude and patronising as well, and would prefer we did not send them back if any future issues.

We had a leak in the water supply line near the toby. Your man, Donovan was great, but your service van inventory is not great. When he first arrived I said with emphasis "I don't want you to start unless Foleys has equipped your van with the parts necessary for this sort of work." Now, he can't have possibly known of all the parts in the van, that's your job, Foleys,, but he said he thought the parts would be on hand so he started the job. He installed a new connector where the pipe leak was at the copper/ plastic join, but it leaked. He said this is not the best part for this, and had to travel back to town for a different part that did fix the problem. I certainly hope that I won't be charged for the 2 extra trips to town, his time, etc..This simple repair could have been done in one trip, had the van been properly equipped with the right part and the backfill necessary to do the job.

Absolutely fantastic team. I phoned them when I had tripped the fuse in my motorhome. I had tried everything including Google n the fuses but was at risk of having no coffee n freezing. Scotty came out and within 5 seconds found the problem, fixed it and explained it to me (I have to say it was a silly thing and I felt a bit stupid lol). They were there within 20 mins of me phoning and were friendly, on the phone and in person, efficient and very helpful. I will definitely call them again!

Topliss Shower Mixer (Model TB ELP) was installed to replace leaking older Topliss Model TB6. However the rotating shower mixer dial is much harder to rotate to turn on/ adjust water temperature. And the rotating dial also protrudes inappropriately a lot more from the face plate, esp the top of it.
