Fantastic service! John listened to what we required and recommended a fantastic NZ made solid tap. He supplied the tap and installed it in record time. Very happy with the quality and friendliness of service. We will be getting John back for any future plumbing jobs.

We were delighted to learn John was the same plumber/gasfitter I'd had excellent dealings with decades previously in another city. He arrived quickly with all the needed parts, and was able to immediately repair a leak in the piping (valve failure) into our hot water cylinder. Prompt, friendly and competent, just how we like our service providers and tradespeople! John was able to come to connect gas to a new hob within 2,hrs of a phone call he made to me. He gave me a clear rundown of what he was going to do. The workmanship is very good, & connecting gas bottle a breeze. He gave me ideas on how to protect gas bottle in a earthquake.

John did a great repair job on our shower. Super efficient, friendly, professional and totally reliable. Would definitely recommend him.

When we purchased a house in Tauranga, which required totally gutting, we considered ourselves very fortunate, to have the services of John Gutry at Gas & Plumbing Specialist. As we were living in Auckland at the time, we were lucky to have such a trustworthy Company handling our work. This included two new bathrooms, Kitchen gas hob and water for the fridge. Plus recommissioning the ducted gas heating system. We were totally relaxed with the professional manner our work was carried out. Nothing seemed to be a problem for John, he kept us fully informed, sending photos regularly so we knew what was happening. We would recommend John and Gas & Plumbing Specialist to anyone, in fact two of our neighbours have used him since.

John at Gas and Plumbing recently installed a new water filter system and completed a repair to our H20 underfloor heating in our house in the Lakes. The work was completed quickly and efficiently, and everything now works perfectly, I found the service and quality of work to be top notch and was they were the first to send their quote back. Also, really great to see a Tradie that actually cleans up before they leave each day and when the job was done the worksites was totally cleaned down and left spotless. I would highly recommend Gas and Plumbing to anyone.

Recently used John to fix our toilet and organised with him to replace an old water main from the roadside to under the house in the coming week. I dug the trench and accidently caused a leak. John was very easy to contact and prompt to arrive and complete the job organised for later. Highly recommended for friendliness, professionalism and quality of work.

John came to replace my Mains Water Filter on THE LAST DAY before "Lockdown". Sooooo appreciated him doing this. Ewwww - how's this for Tauranga Town Water Supply. People .... get a Mains Filter from John Gutry of Gas & Plumbing Specialists Ltd. I've had these put on EVERY home I've bought in Tauranga - and always used John! Best health investment ever!! Did you know our Rainwater is acidic? We did a test one rainy day recently. With the Mains Filter - our water is Neutral. We have a further filter with a jug we keep in the fridge - making our drinking water alkaline - which keeps the body in a state where bugs and diseases etc can't survive!!!

John has always been extremely responsive and provided exceptional service over the last 2 years I've used him for plumbing jobs on the houses I'm renovating, no hesitation recommending him to anyone.
