We stopped in for dinner and were pretty impressed with menu options and prices. Enjoyed the lamb burger and seafood salad. Will be back.

Lovely spot to have a lovely cold cider on a 31 degree day. Also our wee dog was welcomed with a bowl of water and ice.

Good quality and quantity food, good beers, great customer service. Sewfood chowder is a must for anyone who enjoys seafood. It has prawns, mussels and other chewy bits of seafood in a yummy, salty, rich creamy sauce. Have it as entrée for $14, followed by anything else from the menu. I personally like combination of seafood chowder entrée followed by a lamb shank.

Always a favourite with this family! Had a 'main' of fish chowder this visit while the rest of the party enjoyed equal fare. Service friendly and efficient and surroundings very "comfortable". A favourite of our Alexandra hosts and we can see why!!!

Food was absolutely perfect. steak was cooked perfect, the dips and bread are amazing and drinks nice and chilled chips weren't over battered all round excellent meals and restraunt you definitely get your money's worth 10/10 would recommend

Seafood Chowder was really good, sadly you have to pay extra for bread but entree size was big enough without the bread, if your not too hungry The $25 Fish (Orange Roughy) & Chips was perfect, 2 peices of good sized nicely Battered fish with garden salad also, or for $35 you get 4 peices 😊

I was expecting much more from the reviews. But it wasn't just disappointing based on overhyped place. The lamb burger wasn't good even without the big expectation. The lamb was overseasoned with thyme. So there was basically no taste of lamb. The onion rings were overfried so they were hard. It all looked nice but didn't taste very well. Much better was the soup of the day - tomato & bacon, but it would be even better with a bit more texture by adding a bit of golden crunchy bacon on top

Stopped with my partner for lunch and to try their beers. His lamb burger was well cooked but he said it was a bit too sweet by the end. Our meal seemed too expensive but I wasn't offered an itemized receipt and just paid anyways and left. We quickly decided the total really wasn't right and went back inside. Turns out we had been incorrectly charged for a drink we never ordered - the staff were quick to fix it with a refund.

Yummy food!! I was very impressed. We ordered the lamb Greek salad and lamb burger. Both were delicious!! I also got a cuppa English Breakfast which was fabulous. I would definitely return.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly face and menus. We had a choice of seating. Beautiful day so we sat outside in the shade. Comfy seating. We had the orange roughy. Absolutely beautiful. Would definitely go again.

What a great spot! Set back from the road, indoor and outdoor options, nice atmosphere and superb staff! Food was also great, let alone the delicious brews! Definitely will call in there on our way through Alexandra in the future :D

Public holiday. Good Friday. Place full. Ordered mushroom soup which was excellent plus Main which came out before I had finished soup. Owner came out to sort and shouted next drink. Large meals. Service very good under pressure. Courtesy van to take us to our accommodation. Over all great experience. Will return next time in Alexandra.

I went to Monteith's with some of my friends to check it out, it was delicious! All of us loved their food. I personally had the chicken burger - the flavors blended together well. I will be back!
