Perfect place to chill! 👌🍸🍷 The team I was with had burgers and I was the only one who ordered pizza. Ordered food and drinks from the bar are great! 2 Bombay gin and 1 Sx on the Beach are perfect to end your day fine while watching Tokyo2020! Good place, good company.

Excellent service and felt welcomed and comfortable. Prices were as expected for beautifully cooked meal. Really appreciated the waitress coming and checking to make sure the food was cooked to order. Definitely will be coming back again for dinner or for a family event.

Visited here on a Friday at 11am so it was not busy yet with the lunch rush, But there was a few people drinking and waiting for orders. I ordered the Friday chicken nibbles special and pulled pork Large pizza, I really enjoyed my pizza but would not recommend chicken as its not to my liking. My friend however ordered calamari and vegetarian pizza she enjoyed both and I had some calamari and it was cooked perfectly. Staff were very attentive and helpful, atmosphere was relaxing and the overall bar layout is stunning. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, great food. Wait is a bit long for your meal, but expected for fresh, tasty food. Fill your time with a jug of cider😉 The desserts where very impressive!

Just had a cider and chips here. They have a big outdoor area and I believe they have a happy hour also. The chips were good and the staff were friendly. It would probably be a good place to watch sports as there were big tv’s everywhere

Stopped by for a fairly late birthday dinner, around 2030. It wasn't too busy so we were promptly seated and ordered. It didn't take too long for the food to come out (around 20 minutes). It all came out at the same time, which was nice. I had the slow smoked prime rib cut. The meat was nice, tender and quite juicy. However, I thought that the best item on the table was the crab dip. It was really moreish. nice food and service as usual.

First time here last night for a little dinner with some mates and overall was a great place, clean facilities and great layout throughout, the staff were very friendly and super helpful, I had a t-bone steak that was amazing and an apple crumble pie that was delicious and the bartender made me a pretty good mojito. Great job applejacks I will be coming back in the future

$230 for 4 adults 2 children, 3 of the meals were sirloin. A great meal, small price to pay for some priceless whanau time. The place was busy, the atmosphere lovely and casual.

First time here. I got the fish and chips. We had 3 pieces of fish which we didn't expect and was delicious. The service was brilliant and the staff went out of there way to make you feel special and so polite. Highly recommend coming here and I'll definitely will be back to try the steak

Yummy food! especially if you’re after something heavy. We ordered Lamb shanks, applejacks plater, half pork rack ribs and steak sandwich. All very filling with a lot of flavour. The only thing I could suggest is if a bowl of water or wet wipes were provided. Came back a second time and everything has changed. I’ve had to change my rating because the menu is so different now..

Lunch menu deals were such great value for the portion size you get. The burger was massive & fries were fresh & seasoned well The pulled brisket on chips with cheese was delish ! Very tasty & soft . A bit heavy on the jalapenos for my liking but still a great dish for $15 The $1 wings also another favorite. Bbq flavor was well seasoned & sweet Buffalo flavour had the heat but lacked flavour for me Venue was well presented , toilets very clean & staff very bubbly & attentive . All in all a great place to go for a decent feed

Nice atmosphere. Generally food was good. We had a party of 12, so ordered almost all the entrées. Also, mains were a selection of burgers, steaks, risotto and pork spare ribs. Disappointed that specific instructions were given that all mains to be served together, only to have the ribs served 20 minutes later and was cold and uneadible. See it was lying forget to be served. I returned it. The squid was over salty. The desserts were overly sweet and the Brule was a 3 out of 10.Spent. $623 dollars and no credit given for the returned ribs. $35. Will not be going back, sorry

Very tasty food, especially the Stuffed Beef Burger. 1st class service from our waitress, Cheryln, couldn't ask for any better. Oh and they have boardgames, quite a surprise, they should advertise that.

My friend and I ordered the pork rib set. Pork rid itself is fine, but the coleslaw is too bitter to eat it. I wonder did anyone even taste it before you serve customer? Applejack's fries is not good either. It's very oily and looks dark. Although the service is good, I won't come here again.

Average place, just don't order the fiery chicken pizza. Unless you love a thick Chilli seed sauce with a big blob on each slice, unedible ,no flavour, big regret. Atmosphere was great though. 👍(I do love Chilli, but this wasn't the right set up for a spicy chicken , no flavour ) 😢

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and our waitress for the night up untill was time to settle our bill. The lady who was on till, said to be debuty manager Peru, she was taking a call so my son and I waited for her to finish. Once she finished her call not a word was said and she walked away after making eye contact, she then whilst walking around kept looking back at my son and I around 5x blatantly ignoring us, then our waitress came to the rescue after about 5mins. I'm not sure on her name,our waitress, but she happily gave a 10% discount and apolized on the d.m behalf So thank you sweetheart for the best experience you could possibly give us

Food is good but steaks that are medium are cooked on your cast iron plate to well done, rare becomes medium- so order less done than you like and watch it sizzle towards your taste....oh and veg becomes mouth strippingly hot, so beware! Service is hit and miss, but manager is pleasant to deal with.

Venue is good and spacious, local to fast food and service stations. The staff are friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced for the event I was attending. Haven't tried the food since they made the name change but will update accordingly

Good food, sliders and steak all prepared well, great fries. Service was non-existent though and all floor staff seemed completely disinterested.

Went with a large crowd, ended up getting seated at the wrong table so asked to be moved. Staff were friendly and professional. Couple of items were not available on the menu, but the food ordered was good bar style food.

We had such a great meal tonight. Our food was simply amazing, from starter to main. The staff are very professional and welcoming as well as the new owner. They are not a steakhouse anymore, however the steaks are higher quality and ours were cooked to perfection, and trust me we’re fussy!🤣 Do highly recommend and give them another go if you’ve been disappointed in the past. The new managers are working hard to make your experience memorable.

Went here last night for my birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed my meal of pork belly with mash, bok choy and hoisin sauce 😍 the service was awesome!! Loved this place!

Oh, wow! This little gem is great for a host of activities, whether it be meetings, celebrations, family meals or... just about anything. The big screen TVs, the spacious indoor and outdoor seating and friendly wait staff make for a great time. I can definitely recommend the ribs! Outstandingly the best ribs I've had in New Zealand.

Our family had an amazing time and enjoyed the amazing food ordered from the menu at hand (compliments to the chef)..despite the menu issue of not been able to order from the online menu (miscommunication with the FB people) the staff were very apologetic and professional.. the service & food at Applejacks Highland Park was top notch..My family are looking to head back to dine in soon. Big Thumbs up to you guys and our waiter for today.

Went searching for a steak dinner tonight and found this place. Went in with the kids, the young staff who served us were amazing, polite, prompt and professional. Food was expensive (for us, we are usually cheap diners), but worth every penny. Steak was perfect, sauce was perfect, chips and salad, perfect again. Kids got nuggets and pizza which were great as well! Everything was served up with a smile. Definitely reccomend and go back again

Great sports bar atmosphere with good service. Food was also of an excellent standard. The restaurant is connected to the bar area so can be a little noisy. The decor is fresh and comfortable and above all clean.

The service has improved from the previous owner which has made a big difference for us. The staff are more in touch with the patrons which for my fiance and I makes a big difference. The food is good if you're a meatlover and can recommend the beef salad if you feel like something lite

Great place to have a few beers and typical pub food. The bar is well stocked, the dining menu is quite good for grilled food lovers, and the service is warm and friendly.

Service was very slow for a, not very busy, Thursday. My steak sandwich was AMAZING! Hubby's chicken burger was very average. Won't rush back.

Had a good time. The waitress serving our area was fantastic and attentive despite how busy it was. Sports on the screens. Steak was ok, but just ok. Attribute that to how busy it was. Wasn't even a game night on TV, but a good crowd.

I was really disappointed with my visit. I used to love this place but I think it's changed owners. Service was average and a bit slow, maybe understaffed? Because they weren't busy. My steak was undercooked and hard to cut when I wasn't given a steak knife. My truffle hollandaise sauce was just soft butter. But the beer ans the fries were good.

Good location with a pretty good selection of drinks, the service was a little average in our last visit as the server didn't really know the menu. The food is pretty typical pub food with burgers, pizza and steak and there is plenty of seating which is good. During st paddys day they also have quite good drink specials. It's super handy to main buses and parking

I dropped in to try them out. The drinks were average or expensive, but the food was just OK. The lamb shank was well cooked but flavorless and the mashed side seemed lazy. the burgers had buns which were far too big so they ended up seeming like an after thought and not a conscious design

Only had drinks and nibbles, pre a Christmas do and they took forever to serve us and bring our orders. There was a larger group there also, so maybe they'd ordered just before us. However the bar staff still seemed to really be on the go slow.

So we got served really quick took our order fast, the entrees came out early but it took a while to get our drinks. We ended up asking at least 4 times for our drink. Then they tried to charge us twice for 1 drink because we asked 2 different people. The food was good. Not terrible. Not the best but just good. Didn't disappoint but didn't wow me either. Would've probably been a 2 but the Guinness wasn't too bad after I finally got it.

While this establishment may not look inviting from the outside, the interior is tastfully furnished, providing a comfortable atmosphere for a meal out with the family or a drink with friends. The menu is appetising, however, both food and drink are quite dear for this part of town.

Service deserves a one or two star due to one waitress in particular. Food and setting deserves a four going on five star. Ask about sizing before ordering as it isn't very clear on the menu how much you are getting - we thought a garlic bread like pizza was going to be a small starter dish, but it ended up being so big we couldn't finish the main course. Service was very slow, we saw and heard another couple getting some very slow, misleading and frustrating service while trying to order dessert which echoed service provided to us by the same waitress-considering we were the only two occupied tables at the time, it was very disappointing to see even a single drink taking 15 minutes and two prompts to recieve. Was a good meal aside from that though.

This place is exceptional. Service like I’ve never received before. The young man, Purdie, was very accommodating and patient while we worked our way through their entire menu (yes, we tried everything). From the burgers to the pizzas to the chicken waaaanngs, it was all like fireworks on our pallets. Will be returning tomorrow. Great work Applejacks Team! Nice place... the service is always on point they are awesome ... My rating from 3 to 5 as that's what they really deserve

Had our work Christmas party for 13 people on Friday and we all will be recommending this place. The waiter looking after us lastnight was the best you can find! All our orders arrived at the same time and no one was left without food. It is very hard to try and find places that accommodate everyone's food requirements in a group..but Applejacks made it possible. The Vegetarians and the Vegans had to check their food twice to make sure it was right because it was that good!! 😁 Thank You to ALL your amazing staff for a wonderful service!

I love applejacks and go often..... Today was not one of their good days. We waited at least over an hour for our dinner. We were given false information about the portions of the food and the drinks arrived like well towards the end of our dinner.... Dessert however was a different story I LOVE LOVE the choc tart it was so decadent and rich which I absolutely adore..... but I guess it was expected with Valentines and it was busy..... Still recommend them because on a normal day they are wonderful......

Great set up, good food and a nice vibe.

Massive menu (which is both a pro and a con) and well maintained place. Amongst the table (4ad 2ch) we tried the AJ Crab Dip, Pork Belly Bites, 2 small pizzas, curly fries, half ribs and fajitas. The mains were a good size and ~$30, but I must say the appetizers were a bit on the expensive side ($17 for all of 8 pork belly bites) and they didnt provide nearly enough crackers for the dip. $10 curly fries is a little over the top too. Service was adequate but not great, though not full. Average but would probably go there to try some actual steak next time.

Applejack's has changed ownership a couple of times over the last [couple of] year(s) and the new guys in there now are a bit clueless to be totally honest! The drink that we requested was not on 'the system' yet displayed in the liquor cabinet. When the second round of drinks was ordered via the waitress, it took 15-20min before I had to go to the bar and question where my drink was: lo and behold, it was not even ordered!! 🤨
