T.We ended up at Lovebucket in K Rd in search of well-endorsed cocktail buckets or so I believed, and I was instantly taken aback by this dark brooding cocktail bar with a lounge DJ and tables full of patrons in this back-of-the-way bar. The vibe was evocative, relaxed, somewhat clandestine and heady.
We ordered a round of cocktails and were immediately impressed. It was only one round as we were expected elsewhere. This was a return visit place!
B.Stopped by for post-dinner birthday drinks. The place is located behind curtains at the far end of the K'Rd Food Workshop. We managed to get a table for about 12 without booking. After being seated and given menus, the staff took our order from the table. The place was fairly quiet, compared to the other places. It had a good ambiance so a good place to enjoy a few drinks. The menu had a selection of beers, wine and cocktails.

A.This is a nice spot – despite living near K Rd I only found this place a couple of weeks ago . Its in the back of the K Rd Food Workshop space – you walk past the rather garish but interesting Electric Chicken place . I quite like their neon signs. Hallertau Taphaus is in a groovy type of space . The place initially reminded me of a Finnish backroom bar – the bar is awash with wood – its been done quite tastefully . We were there on a rather warm Friday eve and they had opened the doors / windows at the other end of the bar . My favourite drink was the on tap G & T – it was delicious ! my partner had a lemon curd sour beer , which she loved . They have a really good eclectic mix of drinks – there was a rice beer on their menu too . The bar staff were full of the joys of spring and were very helpful – they gave my partner some testes of beer before she bought . We’ll definitely be going back for more .
J.A good spot for a night out with friends. An interesting selection of beers, wine, and cocktails. Enjoyed the mulled cider. A DJ playing some music, not the place for a quiet chat when the music is on, but a great atmosphere for a night out. There is food available as well. Service was great!

M.Great atmosphere. Cool music and cocktails which will excite. I had the Rollin Rowland, which sounds like a mix of some very odd companions but it works. You get different flavours as it moves through your mouth. Most enjoyable evening.
Also staff who know what service means. Not in your face, but there when you want anything.

J.Lovebucket is not your typical K Rd bar. It's a delightful little loungy area, nestled in the back of the Food Workshop eatery. It's an attractive space in the afternoon, but comes alive with the evening mood lighting.
If you do stop in, Lovebucket does amazing things with gin. They have a delicious house G&T on tap, and a wide selection of bitters to give your drink that extra zing.
D.Killer ambience. Lovely people. This place has so much to offer in regards to Drinks. Taps and bottle and whiskies and what not. They have got all good things. Opens 4pm. Be there and you will want to come again. Don't miss this. Love love bucket. Kudos to the people there. Wait, cocktails there modern and hip. Try them.
m.Best kept secret on K'rd. Superb cocktails, ambience well suited to close conversation, always something interesting going on. I particularly enjoy the many art exhibitions on offer. Recommended.
L.With awesome staff, amazing cocktails, an incredibly well curated beer list, and always interesting natural wine choices, this has got to be one of the best bars in AKL! Don't be turned off that LB is tucked away behind a wee food court: the decor and music (ok, and maybe the drinks!) will have you thinking you've escaped the depths of the city. 10/10 - not to be missed
D.This is a meet up with friends or a first date drinks kind a place 2. Not too noisy until DJ kicks off much later on. Tucked away off K Road through a tiny food court kind of place. Thumbs up.
