Possibly the best cocktails on Ponsonby road in the coolest little bar. Slick & professional service from a team with outstanding product knowledge. Sit at the bar and you can watch the pros at work, they will happily talk to you about different drinks, how they are made and even a story or two to keep you entertained. Let the bartender lead you to try some new flavours and styles of cocktails. Great table out front as well for some always entertaining people watching.

Immaculate. The service was second to none. Attentive, fast and delicious every time (cocktails). All explained well and delivered with kindness every time. Very much worth a visit!

Loved it!! Bartender was really knowledgeable and the welcome (mini glass) drink of their new creation was delish. Think Heston Blumenthal with their drink creativity. Mind was BLOWN.

Epic cocktails, and the new passport menu is such a cool touch.

It's a hard road finding the perfect bar, but arguably this is it.

A great little quiet cocktail bar and a destination for those that appreciate quality vibe. A bartender-owner means that the drink selection is well curated and ever changing. If you like a specific cocktail on offer you can go a step further and order them in bottled form for an event or your own enjoyment.

Lovely owner, fantastic drinks! Ponsonby bars are quick to get pretentious but this place keeps it real. It's an awesome bar and the owner is a thoughtful guy! Will definitely be one of the first places I return to when lockdowns lift!

Banging cocktails, epic owner/host, and ladies they have a beaut bathroom. Even do takeaway cocktail bottles which I got talked into in .25 seconds. Cheers to Clipper!

Always excellent. Always classy. And the rhubarb custard is beyond incredible. Never disappoints.

A favorite bar experience. Fabulous, expert cocktails; warm and cozy LA in the early 60’s vibe; delightful and easygoing hospitality...what’s not to love? If only I could finish every night out with a stop at this quality joint.

Cute and cosy little cocktail bar with great service and a brilliant vibe. Owners are super friendly and skilled behind the bar and whip up delicious unique cocktails. Add in that you can order deliciousness from the gyoza bar next door and the amazing restroom experience this is a definite 5 star spot! We’ll be back. Thanks guys 👌🏻

Amazing cocktail bar. Cocktail list is quirky and everything we tried was delicious! Barney was awesome too. The Christmas menu is fun and we loved the extra treats with the cocktails ☺️

My friend and I walked in here expecting to grab one drink and ended up staying for hours. Barney (owner + bartender) recommended and mixed the perfect cocktails, plus is hilarious. Sad we don’t live in Auckland - I want to take this bar back to San Francisco with me

I’m writing my first ever google review for this because I’ve never in my life had a better experience at a bar. Sit at the bar, chat with Barney for a while. (Tell him Lauren and Emily from San Francisco sent you!) The drinks are incredible (try the Pan-Am! and the Pina Colada Old Fashioned), but more than that the hospitality is unbeatable.

Cocktails were delicious, the vibe was very chill and the owner was awesome; making our drinks and providing guidance on neighborhood gems and dining throughout Auckland. A must-visit in Ponsonby!

Barney & Bill local legends serving up by far the best cocktails in Ponsonby. Highly recommend to those wanting a classy environment / great date location!!!
